Room was decent, has kitchen and everything that is needed as if it’s an apartment. few grievances were that no tissues were provided, the king bed was actually 2 singles hidden under a big mattress cover, and the table area was a small coffee table unlike the listed picture. kitchen and toilet sink are one, and the aircon had some bad condensation against the wall due to placement. i also suggest for people to check out on time as housekeeping is pretty punctual.
otherwise, still a passable and decent stay.
Adli was very informative and he was the only one that shared so much information and very helpful. Without him I would not know where everything was. Audrey and Edel. Needs to train more if they want to work in Singapore. More info for the guests more business simple as that!
You can see the sea from the upper floors, the rooms are larger, there is a washing machine, and you can make simple meals. It is very convenient for long-term stays. The front desk clerk doesn't seem to speak Chinese, but is very enthusiastic. There are 2 swimming pools, a large one on the first floor and a small one on the 7th floor. It's also relatively close to the National University.

The Quay is usually my first choice for my female colleague visiting from Malaysia, and she generally enjoys her stays. However, this time around, we encountered a problem. The room's air conditioning was broken, and the hotel could only provide a commercial fan. While I appreciate the effort, this wasn't an ideal solution, especially considering the weather. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved quickly for future guests.
Stayed here week after week. Nice friendly staff. Clean room. My mother was saying. She said why I got my own house but why I don't want to stay at home but want to stay at Guesthouse instead. Well freedom for sure staying alone at Guesthouse. Haha.
This was definitely a unique experience! Loved the coziness and the amenities within the container (there are four Aircon units in the room…well-equipped itself is an understatement).
The location, however, was a bit of an issue for us. Firstly, this container hotel is located at the back of Haw Par Villa (a tourist attraction). You’d need to walk up a hill for about 5-10 minutes to reach the container. There is a road that leads to the hotel directly, but taxi drivers / grab drivers get lost very easily as the container shares the same postal code as the tourist attraction. Do also note that if you return to the hotel beyond 1130pm, you will need to call the Haw Par Villa guard house to open the gate for you, or else you will be locked out from accessing your container hotel even if you have the door card. But that being said, this location also means that you are embraced by the nature sights of trees and foliages, which in itself is a nice respite from Singapore’s urban chaos.
One suggestion that is worth the management’s consideration would be to automatically send a check-in manual to the booking email address (something like what Airbnb landlords do), without necessitating the individual to call up the management and end up in a back and forth to figure out the check-in procedures. I am not too fussy about this as I understand a hotel as new as container hotel will need time to firm up its processes, but this is a crucial step to take if the management intends for this business to scale.
I recently stayed at a small budget hotel and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Despite its affordable rates, the hotel offered clean and comfortable accommodations. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed during my stay. The location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. Overall, I highly recommend this budget hotel for anyone looking for a cost-effective and enjoyable place to stay.
Staff members are very helpful and responsive to feedback. One day, it was very rainy and one staff member even accompanied guests to where taxies parked with an umbrella to make sure they wouldn't get wet. Also, there is a bus station just besides.

A delightful experience overall! Staff were warm and attentive, ensuring every detail of my stay was comfortable and seamless. Pleasantly surprised and grateful for the free upgrade to my room, the room itself was beautifully designed, with a perfect blend of style and comfort. The bed was cozy too.
A small note for future guests: there is a kerb in the bathroom that you might accidentally trip over. I recommend laying down a bath mat for extra safety—it worked well for me.
Additionally, the soundproofing could be improved as I could occasionally hear noises from the hallway or nearby rooms.
The hotel’s location is just right beside Lau Pa Sat and Shenton Way MRT, which makes it a perfect base to explore Singapore’s attractions.
