2-Star Hotels in Shaoguan

I made a last-minute decision to go to Danxia Mountain and saw that I had booked Yunsu Hotel 8 years ago, but I hadn't called the owner to make a reservation beforehand. The owner told us to stay at Firefly Hotel instead. Back then, Firefly Hotel had just opened, and the walls and room facilities were relatively new, so it was alright. 8 years later, when I booked Firefly again, it was much older and more worn out. Water was constantly dripping from the air conditioner at the door, and the sheets seemed unwashed; they were quite itchy. The only redeeming quality was the price.

A comfy, no frills Chinese inn managed by a husband and wife team. The lady owner was informative and helped me to plan the best routes to hike as well as enjoy the Danxia Mountains. She even assisted me to purchase a discounted ticket for the Danxia night cruise. Inn's location is located near the Danxia main gate as well as eateries. Perfect Chinese hospitality. Truly a home away from home. TIP: Non locals including foreigners who flew into Guangdong province within the last 10 days and can show their air tickets at the ticket counter can get a free 2 day visit to the Danxia Mountains. The host family are super nice, friendly and helpful. They were interested to talk with you and help you figure out your plans. Location is super convenient it’s just a 15 minute walk. Unfortunately, it’s outside of parking area and cannot park Hello bike in front of hotel, so you need to park back to the tourist entrance and walk back to the hotel. They’re willing to upgrade my room and give me a bigger room. There are two washing machine on rooftop and drying rack.  A lot of uncles are sitting in the living room and smoking, so a lot of time you can smell the cigarettes 

Very clean and warm hotel. Very big room, huge window and view to the mountains. New double windows, so very quiet. Good beds and linen, good shower. The owners are extremely helpful. The girl made us 2 days itinerary with suggestions which places to go and which routes to use. She printed out the whole A4 text that was really helpful and made markings on the mountain map. We followed only her suggestions and without them it had been difficult decide where to go. The guy ordered us car to Shaoguan city, paid for it with his Wepay app and we paid him back using Alipay! It was so helpful of him to do it, because Alipay showed prices at around 150 RMB, Wechat only 58! We as foreigners couldn't download Wechat. Very good hotel, when visiting Danxia Mountains!

We stayed at this hotel in Danxia Geopark for three nights, and we absolutely loved it! The staff were incredibly friendly, especially the receptionist who helped us with everything we needed. The room had all the necessary amenities and was very comfortable. The air conditioner was new and very quiet, making our stay even more pleasant. The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning, and the hotel is very close to the park entrance, which was extremely convenient. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back!

Friends who have not seen me for a long time come to my site to do things, and also brought children, of course, to arrange. I have been entangled for a long time, compared a lot of chain hotels, apartments and homestays, and finally brushed this one. I read the evaluation and booked a personal room. The price is very affordable. I booked a room with the mentality of giving it a try. After I lived, I wanted to recommend it to my friends who came here. I really exceeded expectations and I must share it. 1. The room is really spacious and large. There is a big bed and a small bed. The big bed is really big. The children will not fall down when they jump. 2. The corridor is also super wide, the first time I saw such a wide corridor. 3. The reason for choosing here is also because the location is very good. There are shopping malls, markets, pedestrian streets, snack streets, and late night streets within 10 minutes of walking nearby. 3. The front desk service is particularly good, with coffee, hot tea, candy. Seeing me sweating in, I gave me a bottle of ice cola, and I was so cool. Although I didn't live in the hotel, I also gave me a breakfast coupon. 4. We can talk hard, we didn't pay attention to the children running to the lobby, the front desk saw that the children did not follow the adults, immediately called us, and helped us take the children to see the fish in the lobby. This must give a big praise, the vigilance is particularly high. 5. There is a large parking lot at the door, and there is a charging pile. Scan the code for free parking. Parking and charging are very convenient. 6. It is very close to Nanhua Temple, Jiuze Park and Lion Rock. I took my friends out for a stroll the next day. 7. There are two laundry rooms, with automatic washing machines, desktop dryers, vertical dryers, and ironing machines. You can ask the waiter to send it. 8. The room was clean and tidy, clean and hygienic. The children's bed was very clean and the bathroom was separated from wet and dry. The ground is dry and does not accumulate water. The hot water is very sufficient, very large, and the bath is very comfortable. 9. Special thanks to the hotel staff for helping me see the children, they are all kind beautiful women.

Generally clean, a bit dark though. The soundproof is neil, it's loud all around. You can hear everything very clearly. The parking was a situation. There's about 6-7 spots (This is assuming everyone park properly too) outside the hotel directly but it's super tight. There was a ev charger but it didn't work unfortunately. We had to park across the street, we were told it's free but it wasn't. $10 for 12 hours and $20 for 24 hours (I don't think it's a re-enter-able price).

Every time I visit Shaoguan, I always stay at this Home Inn Express Hotel. The staff are very welcoming, the rooms are spotless and even have aromatherapy, the scenery is beautiful, parking is convenient, and it's easy to find places to shop and eat. Highly recommended! The only downside is that the elevator is being renovated, so you have to climb the stairs, which is a bit tiring.

The room without windows is incredibly stuffy. Even with the air conditioning on, it's still stuffy. There's a persistent odor. The toilet bowl wasn't flushed properly.
