5-Star Hotels in Porto

This hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the old town. The building itself, according to the hotel's description, dates back to the 16th century. It's truly a unique experience to stay in such a historically rich setting while enjoying modern minimalist decor, especially given its superb location in the old town's core. What particularly stood out was the hotel's pool, which directly overlooks Porto Cathedral – an absolutely unforgettable sight.

The hotel is located right by City Hall, with a metro station directly outside. It's just over 300 meters from Porto Sao Bento train station, and all the attractions in the Old Town are within walking distance. There are various restaurants nearby, making it incredibly convenient. All the hotel staff, from the front desk to the breakfast restaurant and housekeepers, were warm and proactive. The room was a bit small, though.

Everyone at the hotel was very kind to us. The location is also very convenient for sightseeing, and everything is within walking distance. They explain the location on a map at the beginning, which makes it very easy to understand. Also, although we weren't able to get a reservation this time, there is a restaurant called Blind, which has an unusual concept and I think it is a space where you can experience something out of the ordinary. Almost all of the rooms are suites, and the space is very stylish and lovely.

A hidden gem of Porto We stayed here for four nights and felt very happy. This is five star boutique hotel with all the facilities and above all top class services to guests - we have been many five star hotels around world. The Italian owner has talents from interior designing to offering great customer experience with help from his charming and hard working daughter Flavia who was on site supervising /attending to guests everyday and was willing to go extra mile to help. All staff members are professional, attractive with nice smiles. Innes the restaurant manager (?) was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed fabulous breakfast and a wonderful dinner with innovative dishes created/cooked perfectly. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend GA Palace and Spa (lovely spa experience showing high level of attention to detail).

Fantastic central location - couldn't have asked for better. The room was quiet and comfortable. The staff were brilliant - friendly faces and efficient with everything we asked for. What really makes this place special though is the building itself. It's stunning with gorgeous architectural details. The interior design is elegant without being stuffy. All in all, a real gem that ticks all the boxes for comfort, service and style.

The room is very nice and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's easy to walk to the city center. My husband and I are very satisfied with the Renaissance Porto Lapa Hotel.

Beautiful hotel in a great location, within walking distance of most old town attractions and round the corner from a metro station making it even better!! Staff can't do enough for you and the whole place is welcoming and beautiful. Breakfast set in lovely dining area with plenty of choice from a menu so served to you without having to wait for the toaster! Rooms are luxurious and have everything you may need, including a very comfortable bed!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Location was the best thing about it. Right in the centre walking distance to most places we wanted to visit. We were lucky enough to be able to view the Christmas lights switch on and fireworks that were positioned just outside the hotel on the first night. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the spa was a nice option to have on a morning. we wanted to relax. All staff we encountered were very welcoming!

the hotel is very close to the train station and other sightseeing places. There's a big construction site right in front of the hotel which makes it a bit inconvenient to walk around. The hotel offered us a room which faced the courtyard, so we didn't experience any construction noise. The room was very clean and the beds are comfortable. overall it is positive experience with the hotel

Quiet location and away from tourist areas. The breakfast is acceptable. Services are fine.
