The weather in Suceava was cold and rainy. We got back to our rooms around 7 pm. The temperature was around 16 C. We were told heating starts at 9 pm. Reception, after a long argument, gave us the remote of the air conditioning unit, so that we could use the heating function, to heat the room. The heating was supposed to be on between 9 pm and 6 am, but we were overall cold the whole night. The hotel joined the Continental chain, but the only notable change, from the look it had 40 years ago, was the adoption of the blue fabrics color of the Continental chain. The furniture is outdated, the rooms are small, about 14 meters square, the bathrooms minimally updated.

This is a very nice hotel with a high level of service. If you have a car or a driver/guide the hotel makes a restful oasis after a day of sightseeing. It is a bit out of town if you don’t have transport. The staff is very nice, everything is clean and modern, the restaurant is excellent with a very pleasant garden area. Breakfast had a good variety of offerings . The A/C wasn’t very strong which might present a problem during summer. No coffee/tea facilities in the room.

Still stayed a night after visiting Voronet monastery. In general, in almost all holidays we try to stay in a Best Western, because despite being very standard it has always been a security, as services and as breakfast. In this case, we were surprised by the furniture, which is all but standard, in fact it is decorated wood, which reminds the place where you are staying. Unfortunately, however, despite the average of the hotels in Romania, he has some disappointment because I have not found the ”safety” I found elsewhere: for example, there were very few electrical catches. (to charge the phone there was a pickup at more than a meter height, if not the television had to be disconnected), the abatjour from my side did not work and the electric cable left a little perplexed, The courtesy set was missing in the bathroom and the breakfast was almost completely missing the sweet part, which is usually expected in an international hotel.
