Johor Bahru Hotels with Swimming Pools

"2nd times chosen this hotel for short gateways. Location is good area as many food market and restaurants located near hotel. Too many hair salon and massage salon located at KSL Mall. Easier to find by Grab cab from JB Sentral (or JB City Square Custom) to KSL Hotel & Resort. A bit of disappointment - the room blanket seem like didn’t washed which caused itching to skin while lying on bed (3 people in 2 bed somehow)and air condition is unable to adjustable (the room remote controls looks like for display )"

"Service: From the time we checked in to when we checked out, the service we received from different staff members was professional, polite and personable. Our room (942) was spacious, adequately clean, had comfortable beds, a big bathroom and a partial view of the sea, amongst others. It was lovely to have been able to sit by the window with a drink and take in the view while being grateful for the lovely room assigned to us. :) Breakfast: A self-service chicken noodle station was an interesting feature. Although it was self-service, the kind staff at the egg station went out of his way, literally and figuratively, to make me a bowl of yummy noods as soon as he discerned a culinary disaster was in the making courtesy of yours truly! That gesture of kindness, and many others from the rest, made this stay memorable and filled my heart with fondness for this place. BWH will not be a place I'd go to for a time of mall crawls, cafe hopping or even choice eateries. However, it's a place I'd return to for quiet rest, friendly and kind service that uplifts my soul, and maybe to flex my culinary inadequacies. Just changed my mind - I'll leave the culinary portions to the professionals instead. Oh, and do not miss out on the Healing Garden on the 7th floor. It's a lovingly and thoughtfully tendered private garden - one that will put a smile on your face regardless of your age. This is the first time I've been to a pool area that you'd enter after passing caged chickens, rabbits, birds and a garden that grows herbs, fruits, vegetables and flowering plants! ❤️ If you get to meet the brains behind this Eden, Mr Subra, do stop and have a chat with him. You'll be glad you did so. Fun fact - Mr Subra had named most, if not all, of the animals in his garden. Probably even named the arowana on the 5th floor! There you have it - Berjaya Waterfront Hotel - a place of kindness, healing and rest."

"Stayed in a superior room. Very basic amenities in toilet includes 2 toothbrushes and a tiny bar soap. Breakfast provided has limited varieties. Went to the gym but was disappointed there is a water dispenser but no water as the empty water bottle was not replaced."

"I booked this hotel last minute and was so impressed. Although it's about 5 - 7 mins walk from KSL city mall, it's much better than the hotels nearer to the mall. The room is clean and spacious, The breakfast buffet spread is good but is crowded."

"The staffs are excellent and location is great, just 100 meters from KSL city. Lots of eateries around and there is night market on every Monday evening. Only couple of things that can be better. One is the shower pressure and toilet flushing pressure. Then is the sound proofing problem, I had a connecting room and imagine I can clearly the snoring of next door guest, and the conversation from doorway and next door. Last is the table light, there’s no switch to switch it off but to unplug from the outlet? Or I don’t know the the switch is located at the table light 🤪 Overall great stay and love the breakfast spread, will come back but I’ll sure ask for non-connected room."

"We headed to R&F link bridge from CIQ-City Square mall right after we were informed check-in is available around 2pm+.  We were quite disappointed with the long walk with breakage of the link bridge due to RTS construction works ongoing. The long climbs of stairs down then up to the continuation link bridge is rather a hassle especially for guest who carries luggage as we have seen along the way. Luckily we only carried light backpack as we only stay for one night. The procedure of checking in to R&F Princess Cove is rather simple by following a step-by-step instruction via WhatsApp. The unit assigned to us is at B1-1 Block on the 33rd floor. It was right after the rain stopped when we reached. There is a broken-handle window along the corridor hence not properly closed.  The heavy rain has actually poured onto the corridor flooring and we almost slipped as we didn’t see the patch of water. The unit assigned to us was according to our request (away from lift, non-smoking & high floor).  The unit we should say, is well maintained, clean and really nice!!! The only flaw is that the seaview is not as expected (only a slant opening seaview perhaps). The only bedroom ceiling light cum fan is great. However, the bedroom entrance downlight electrical point is tied to the ceiling light cum fan which the entrance downlight can’t be switched off when the fan is in operation during sleep….anyway, we turned on the aircon thereafter in order not to be affected by the glaring bedroom entrance downlight. Even there are 2 pillows each, they are rather too soft and we couldn’t sleep well.  Apart from the above, we enjoyed very much at the Living and Kitchen areas where we watched TV drama & having our meals. The next morning while heading out to walk around the premises, a pale stale stink smell from the rubbish chute on our level can be smelt while waiting for the lift to go down…… The exterior environment of R&F Princess Cove (phase 2) is comfortable especially on the 8th floor where gardens, swimming pool, gym, viewing deck, jogging track and link bridge to R&F mall are resided. One thing to praise is that R&F Princess Cove has friendly, nice security guards and staffs who have communicated via WhatsApp, thumbsup!  Overall we think it is good to stay provided the CIQ to R&F Princess Cove link bridge is complete."

"The  hotel has the best location, it is on top of a mega mall with a supermarket, everything opens from 10am to 10pm. The variety of food made us keep going back. The hotel includes breakfast buffet which it is very decent and has good selection for locals and visitors, and the menu is slightly different everyday for a good surprise. The staff is very friendly, and they greet us every time.  We certainly will stay there again."

"Great Stay – Friendly Staff, Clean Rooms, and Good Value I had a pleasant experience at this hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, making check-in smooth. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was not bad either—just enough to start the day. Overall, definitely worth the price. I would stay here again!"

"This hotel is a rite infont of bus stop, you can take bus number T20 from JB customs . Besides hotel rights hand side got a money changer, a mini market, behind you, walking around 10 minutes to reach KSL sopping mall, and many good hotels, if you like shopping, can stay here the other side of the hotel got one big fish head steam boat , a lot of customers. I don't like steam boats, so I never try it is nice or no nice . Opposite the fish head steam shop, got one big food centre, price is ok, one bottle of beer cost Rm 18, food is so so, environment is fine, counter staff is friendly, bill boy Auman is helpful and friendly. The room is large, and only the bathtub below is leaking ,so the floor can be wet, not a suitable seniors guest. I stay during weekdays, I think the price is a bit high. Otherwise, it should be OK. Out of 5, i will rate 4, alot of room to improve."
