Hotel - Motel Georges

Its old but well maintained. Good people, conveniently located close tonthe Ferry, maybe one of the 1st buildings in Tadoussac.

No aircon. No kettle/coffee maker so couldn’t make a hot drink to start the day. Breakfast is not worth the additional charge. But the rooms were clean, shower was good. We had two rooms and one didn’t have mozzie screens on the window. Couldn’t really hear the traffic when the windows were shut. Basic hotel.

Rooms are very close to the road. The window is facing the corridor disserving the other rooms. The bathroom's ventilation is very loud. The matresses are inconfortable. Too expensive for quality you get. Fortunately we stayed there only one night.

This is an ancient motel and I'm guessing that the current operators bought it not very long ago. It seems like they're fixing it up in stages. I was in room 8 and the floors in the bedroom and bathroom were new, but the bathroom fixtures were like something from the 1960s. There were two windows with screens in the back and no air conditioning. Luckily, the weather was cool and it didn't matter, but this place would be like an oven in the summer. Two windows facing the parking lot did NOT have screens, so there's no cross ventilation. One of the back windows doesn't close, so it'll be interesting in winter. The neighborhood has lots of sand everywhere. It's just the geology of the area. This leads to the next thing: When I pulled back the bedspread, there was sand between it and the sheets. Here's my guess: It's next to impossible to avoid tracking sand into the room on your shoes. Whoever made the bed was an amateur and a slob. While changing the sheets, they tossed the bedspread onto the floor instead of draping it over one of the chairs. What kind of monster does this? Bedding doesn't belong on the floor. The building in the picture is NOT where you'll be staying. Don't be charmed by that picture. There's a separate two story motel building. Go elsewhere until these people get a handle on how to run a business. There's plenty of other lodging in Tadoussac.

It was very noisy, they put a family of 4 people on top of us with yough kids....no coffee machine in the room ? Really! The only good thing about the hotel is the fact that there is lake in the back of the motel. I wouldn't recommend this motel

The rooms are extremely basic, washroom clean but everything outdated. When curtains open cleaning staff walking by. Right by the ferry so noisy. Had kids above us running around at night and early morning. I went upstairs to ask them to be more considerate. Has a continental breakfast but we passed, was empty so can’t imagine any good. Room was so dreary we made sure we did activities so we had to spend as little time as possible in room. Tried to contact another hotel to check out early but wasn’t available. Honestly, just horrid!

This motel room was as basic as they come and still call it lodging. Small room, small bed, minimal amenities, no phone to contact reception. TV did not work. It was fairly late when we tried to turn it on so we didn’t get out to the main building to get help. Way over- priced! It was clean- only positive.

It was quiet at night inspite of being on the main road near the ferry. The beds were decent and comfortable. The room was poorly cleaned with hair on the bathroom floor etc. the screen on the window was broken and insect entered - we taped it up. There is no A/C. The breakfast was late and very mediocre.

This hotel is very convenient, just a few steps from the ferry. There is some traffic noise from vehicles coming off the ferry through the night, but it was totally fine with the front windows closed and back windows open. Our rooms were clean and well appointed. We had a great stay. Thank you!
