Interesting industrial design, common areas look pretty esthetic for photos. Comfy and spacious sleeping arrangement in room but cleanliness needs a lot of work, especially in the shower. Room was super dusty and needs some maintenance.

I love the whole vibe of the hotel where it give off this rustic industrial look but the interior of the room is really nice. Front desk was super accommodating when we wanted to upgrade our room but the initial upgraded room was not to our liking and they kindly suggested another room for us to have a look first before we decide on it. we were able to check in an hour earlier as well and was able to keep our luggage at the front desk after check out and return back later to collect. overall an amazing experience with SOF hotel and would definitely come back to stay when im in taichung again

Hotel provide very nice free coffee, just need to take mug to collect from the bar. Room small but is very comfortable.

Booked this hotel based on the aesthetics and beautiful shown on the booking site....but what a let down. Firstly when we arrived at the hotel, there were no staffs at the reception area ! There were another group waiting also but seems like they gave up and left for another hotel (could have waited until fed up). Same for us, we looked around every corner and doors, called the hotline but to no avail. Waited close to 1 hour before some cleaners arrived for their shift and helped us to call the staff before they appear. "give explanation as short of manpower so were cleaning the rooms" ! We did saw some cleaners on the second level, waved at them but gave a curious look and went back to their chores, and I couldn't go up as it was access by key card. What I am saying is there were tourist luggage's which they were suppose to look after, computers and cards were lying around but no one around manning it ! The hotel's design is not suitable for family travellers and children as it's very eerie at night and the worst part is bottle water and electrical kettle is NOT supplied so you need to walk out to the corridor where the water dispenser is making it very troublesome just to drink water. The hotel is also situated in the adult entertainment area like KTV,night clubs and ******** dens ! Nothing much in the area to explore and we pretty much head back to our as early as possible as it doesn't look safe walking around. Would not recommend staying here.

I will not be staying at this hotel again, nor will I recommend it to my friends. The only positive aspect of my stay was the opportunity to be in a building with such unique architecture. However, I was dissatisfied with the following points: Discrepancy from the website's image I was disappointed the moment I entered the room. Lack of professionalism from the staff The impression given by the front desk and cleaning staff was by no means pleasant. The room was not clean The bath area, toilet, and sink were noticeably dusty and covered in water stains, making me seriously doubt if the room had been cleaned at all. Noise Perhaps because there are many establishments like ******* open late nearby, it was extremely noisy. I was tormented by all kinds of noise, including sounds like warning alarms, car horns, and people shouting.

Room is slight small but still enough for two of us. It is still value for money for the price paid

Hotel was nicely designed. Location wasn't too bad too, near the bus station we wanted to take to Sun Moon Lake. The footprint of the room is quite small, and had a bit of smell which we think came from the shower curtain. Service was good - staff at the front counter were really helpful and accommodating.

There is free water dispenser which is a plus point. Service staff wasn’t that friendly have to say hi to get their attention at the reception.

very aesthetic Boutique hotel. Very clean. They even have water dispenser every level for you to freely use. The hotel is very quite at night which is nice. Overall very good stay for family or couples!

This hotel is really well-designed, comfy and impressive. Surrounding neighborhood is alright, but there is a night market within biking distance with loads of yummy food. The service is great, especially the assistant manager 香琳, who is super super nice and professional. Highly recommend to anyone who visit Taichung.

Overall, my experience at this hotel was excellent. The rooms were spacious and bright, well-appointed and spotlessly clean. The comfortable beds ensured a restful night's sleep. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making both check-in and check-out processes very efficient. The hotel boasts a convenient location with easy access to transportation, making it effortless to get around. Breakfast offered a rich variety of options and tasted delicious. Overall, it provides excellent value for money and was a truly pleasant stay. I would definitely choose this hotel again.

Hotel Review: Disappointing Experience The room was not ready until 4 PM local time, which was inconvenient. The location is quite far from any major attractions and is situated in an area more suited for nightlife and clubbing—definitely not ideal for families with children. The hotel is a standard boutique type, but unfortunately, it lacks basic facilities. One of the most frustrating aspects was the mosquito repellent rental, which cost TWD 350—an unreasonable charge for something that should be complimentary in such an environment. Service was poor; I requested an iron three times, both in Mandarin and English. The first time, I was told it was being used by another guest. Hours later, I called again and was told they don’t provide irons at all. Very inconsistent and unprofessional. Overall, the facilities are minimal, and the service was the worst I’ve experienced. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families or those expecting even basic hospitality standards.
