The location of this hotel is simply perfect and the wonderful staff make the place really feel like a home from home! We originally booked this hotel for a one week stay but it was cancelled and we were tokd this was because the hotel was undergoing renovation when in reality the hotel had closed because of a mabagement issue so had reopened under new management by the time we had arrived in Taormina and were booked in elsewhere. As soon as we discovered it had reopened i went there and booked us in for 4 nights of pure luxury! We had a deluxe room with terrace and jacuzzi there are only 3 of these rooms they are spacious with a beautiful kingsize bed the terrace has chairs and loungers with a lovely jacuzzi and the weather was amazing. Big shout out to Amber on reception and Giuseppe by the pool they really made our stay special. When i return to Sicily this is the hotel i will be booking without question! Right on the Corsa Umberto with view from the infinity pool to die for great cocktails plentiful breakfast and lovely lunches overlooking Taormina bay exquisite!

Breathe taking view, great attention to cleanliness Bfast is very good very professional front office staff.. however the restaurant staff are not friendly at all.. perfect location. Near bas stop and a corner away from the walking streets.. if i had to visit taormina again ill definitely consider this hotel again!!

One of the most comfortable hotels I stayed in during this trip to Italy. The scenery is good, the environment is good, the hotel looks very new, the lady at the front desk is beautiful and enthusiastic, always smiling and talking. There is also a swimming pool. Parking is a bit far away, but drive around the road, park the car and walk up the steps to the hotel. 17 euros per day. breakfast is also good

The hotel has been in existence for 119 years. The service is very good. The location of the hotel is also good. It is just at the entrance of the most prosperous area on the mountain. It is also close to the ”Internet celebrity” four seasons. It has an independent garden area and swimming pool. The price is very high. The room is clean The product quality is also very good. The only fly in the ointment is that the facilities and room types are slightly flawed, but as a century-old hotel, I am already very satisfied. Generally speaking, it is highly recommended!

The hotel is boutique and situated in a cove. The walk is tough to get around, so it’s not for people with mobility issues. The cable car was closed! The gym was closed (my husband is an international sportsman, so that was not ok for him). The food is ok for breakfast, however, they run out a lot and I had to keep asking for things. The beds on the beach are not great, neither are they comfortable. Bella island was also closed. It was May so it’s confusing how things were closed. The hotel was noisy, they had an event and were shouting and laughing whilst dragging (yes dragging) big furniture outside along my room on stones. Woke me up at 3am! Seriously. Very bizarre behaviour for a hotel. Certainly wouldn’t go back.

The services in all aspects are in place, and the breakfast is so rich that I didn’t even eat it all during my two-day stay. Watching the sunrise on the top floor is also great. It happened to be a sunny day. Not only did I see the perfect sun rise, I also heard the chirping of birds and the harmonious sound of the waves. I saw trains and cars passing by. Next time the weather is warmer, I must experience the rooftop view. swimming pool 🏊

The breakfast is very good, the view is very good if you live on a high floor, and it is indeed very close to Bella Island. It takes only 2 minutes to walk to the cable car after going down the mountain. To go to the station, you can make an appointment with the front desk to take a taxi. It takes 5 minutes per person for 10 Euros. What's more speechless is that we agreed to have a swimming pool, but directly said that the information on the website was wrong!

I’ve got to say we were delightfully surprised by this hotel. We booked this place as it was nearby to where we booked our wedding. Travelling with my now husband and our nearly 2 year old. From the minute of walking through the doors we saw how truly nice and special this place was. We just booked a standard room, we were located on the ground floor and the room was a lot bigger than we expected. It was nice and peaceful even being so close to reception in room 112. It was clean, comfortable, well air conditioned. Was just what we needed. We had breakfast included in our price which was continental but had scrambled eggs, bacon, range of cheeses and meats including ricotta. Cereals, pasties and cakes all of the above was of a great standard. You could eat inside or out. The staff in the dining room are even better, gianluca, Gianfrano the waiters and the manager fabrizio. And a lovely lady with short dark hair was amazing with our son, They really made us feel welcome and special, they couldn’t do enough for us. So professional and friendly. We also spent an evening in the restaurant which the food was fantastic. Again great service here too! The beautiful garden and surroundings of the hotel are so picturesque. Nice big pool area including a kids pool. We also spent some time down by the beach bar which was relaxing and I have to mention how lovely the ladies down at the reception area of the beach/shop. Giulia and Maria, so lovely, friendly and helpful. The lobby bar was brilliant Adriano made us feel right at home, so friendly, welcoming and looked after our son if we needed milk warming up, no matter what time of day. The shuttle service from this hotel is fantastic, you pre book your shuttle up and down from Taormina. It’s free too! We loved Salvatore! He made us smile, he was lovely, helpful and genuine. We miss him already!! I have to say, the staff here are a real main reason we would want to come stay again. We live in Sheffield in England but my new husband is originally from Catania, we normally would stay with family but after this trip I know we will be back. Don’t waste any more money staying anywhere else, this hotel offers everything you want and need. Thank you for having us Hotel Caparena! See you again one day I’m sure! We found this hotel via Jet2 and thought it sounded nice. The hotel was stunning and we loved it (we are quite fussy) The lobby area is modern, the pool is beautiful and the breakfast setting and food is excellent. The pool food was ok (our children age 8 and 9 loved it) and the setting again is beautiful. We often went across the road to the restaurant Valentino's and bought pizza to eat at the pool or in the hotel garden. The pool does get busy so get a sun bed early (we had enough space every day). The sea is stunning and very easily accessible. The beach is pebbly but if you get shoes it's fine. Further down the beach is a lovely restaurant for lunch called Valentina (owned by Valentino's daughter). The rooms are dated but clean and spacious, the beds were very comfy and one large room was big enough for a family of 4. The location is great the beach, restaurants, shops and the boats are easy to walk to. Taormina is only 25 mins on the bus and it costs 2 euro pp. we did a fantastic boat trip to see the caves with Poseidon from Giardini Naxos and visited Taormina and Castelmola. Would go back tomorrow! Giving it 5 stars because it has everything you need for a lovely Italian holiday. For context our flight was cancelled and we were moved to another hotel free of charge (inc all food and drink for our last night). We checked in looked around decided the Marriott was far nicer and returned immediately (at our own expense). It was worth it!

This hotel is really beautiful. The drive up to the hotel is like driving up to a country house in the Lake District. The hotel grounds are immaculate and very pretty. Etna can be seen from the hotel as well as views of the surrounding hills and countryside. On entry to the hotel it feels very high end, the decor is stunning and the staff on arrival were welcoming and friendly. We definitely got the feeling that nothing was too much trouble during our stay. We were informed that use of the spa throughout our stay was complimentary which was a nice touch. Upon arrival we were asked if we wanted to make a reservation in the restaurant to which we agreed, however after seeing what was on offer we quickly changed our minds. There are two tasting menus available 120-150 euro per person. None of the food listed appealed to us and there was no way we were prepared to pay that price every night. Luckily we had hired a car which was much needed whilst staying at villa Neri. Sadly there is very little available in the surrounding area so in order to find nice places to eat you have to be prepared to travel. Normally this would not be an issue however it is a long way down the mountain every evening around hair pin bends and no street lighting!!! It was such a shame that the hotel didn’t offer a half board option or even a menu offering steaks or fish. We did actually eat in the restaurant on the last night as we just couldn’t face driving yet again. There was an option to choose dishes off the tasting menu separately. I chose a spaghetti dish which I was disappointed in as it was very expensive and very small. On the positive side the wine was lovely and the service amazing. The breakfast at the hotel was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had. There was nothing that wasn’t available, everything you could possibly want was on offer and to a very high standard! The juice was so good as was the carrot cake!!! Our room was very spacious, the bed very comfortable and the cleanliness was of a very high standard. We had a couple of treatments in the spa during our stay, the price was reasonable for a spa but the facial I had was a little disappointing. All in all we enjoyed staying at Villa Nerri however we would not return due to the remote location and more importantly the lack of food options in the restaurant in the evenings. We would have loved to have eaten in the restaurant every night if only there had been some more affordable options. Thank you to all staff at the hotel who were all very welcoming and professional. If absolute peace, tranquility and luxury is what you are after then this could be the place for you but car hire is a must!!
