Hotel Columbia

The highlights of our stay included the incredible service from the team, especially housekeeping. They were responsive and the room so clean. The room was well appointed with a nice nespreso maker, Crate & Barrel dishes, good knives and pots and pans to cook. Location is obviously fabulous. Great buffet in the morning. We would give this a perfect 5 except the elevator was rumbling and loud whenever it ran. When it would reach our floor something above our bed would also creak. You could of course only hear this from the bedroom. We would only have a break when people stopped using the elevator at night. The front desk team was great but couldn’t move us as nothing else with a bedroom door was available. We needed privacy. We just chose the wrong room for an older building. We would stay again, just make use the room is away from the elevator. Our bed fit the tight space but made it difficult to get in and out of without hitting your head on one side and you had to scoot on the other side. I recommend lowering the bed frame and replacing wood with something without a foot. There are nice reading lights in bed too. Would stay again

From the time that we checked in Edward Bills and the rest of the employees including the restaurant staff were very welcoming and friendly to us and our dogs. The fireplace wasn’t working the evening we arrived and Edward quickly addressed it and had it fixed while we were out enjoying a hike the next day. He even helped give us ideas for what to do and eat in town. The cleaning service team even went above and beyond expectations. I only asked for towels and trash removal, and when we got back to the room we were nicely surprised with a fresh made bed, washed dishes and other things being straightened up. The only recommendation that I would have for the hotel is to leave more detailed step by step instructions for how to use the air conditioning and heaters. Especially the floor heater in the bathroom? I think that’s what the temp controller by the toilet was for. Since we are from Austin, TX it would just make it a little easier to understand for hot living folks like us. 😁 Overall a wonderful stay though and we will definitely return soon. We are already discussing doing a spring/early summer trip.

The accommodations were fine. I expected more for the price. Be forewarned that there is no free parking in the area and nightly parking is $35/night. Expected great views, but the windows are small and placed high on the wall (at least on the 4th floor) making the views difficult. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Location is excellent for the inter-town gondola.

This was our first trip toTelluride and so glad we picked Hotel Columbia to stay. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was an added bonus. Service and location were excellent. We would definitely stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay and could not ask for a better location. The towel warmer was a pleasant surprise. Nespresso machine in room was also a nice touch also. Fire place (gas) was enjoyable but did put too much heat into the room too fast to enjoy for any duration. Just very comfortable.

Wow. So many great things about this place! From the time I arrived, I was greeted immediately. Check-in was a breeze, and I was gracefully allowed an early check-in with all the info I needed! The team arranged a personalized birthday amenity with a card. It really made the trip that much more special! Every team member I encountered was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, acknowledging me by name and making helpful recommendations. Location is perfect; right next to the gondola, and a short walk to town. Views are amazing. Breakfast food and service were phenomenal! I've never seen a hotel breakfast that had smoked salmon to go with bagels, shredded hash browns (my two favorite breakfast items), and quiche! Delicious fresh fruit, too. All included with the stay! Make sure to check out The Cosmopolitan too, which is conveniently attached to the hotel. Very highly recommend to anyone staying in Telluride. This secret gem is where I will return to stay when I return! Bravo, Hotel Columbia! Thank you for a great stay!

Excellent hotel with the tastiest restaurant inside the hotel. The staff at the hotel are extremely helpful. The beds are very comfortable. The location of the hotel gives you near direct access to the gondolas & is in close proximity to numerous places to eat. Highly recommend this boutique hotel for your visit in Telluride!! The hotel is one block from the Gondola in Telluride. The room and amenities were thoughtful - such as heated towel racks and fireplace. The service was great. Breakfast was fast, convenient and above average. Unfortunate to see it mostly not occupied due to high prices.

We stayed here during the weeks of the off season (October) and so the hotel was more reasonably priced (mid 400's!). It is a very lovely, small property perfectly located only steps from the gondola. Our 4th floor room had a very comfortable king bed with quality bedding which is my litmus test. The front desk staff is very nice and chill and if you like golden retrievers, you'll be even happier to arrive. Overall, in the main ski season, this is premium location. It's tight quarters if you're with a big group sharing a room. We were a couple. Telluride is a very expensive town, so I doubt you'll find anything economical. If you're able to pay, this lovely little hotel is great.
