Sotetsu Fresa Inn Hotels in Tokyo

This hotel location is excellent, it is next to the Higashi Shinjuku Metro and bus stops. Nearby there are restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and convenience stores. The rooms aren't large but they are clean and comfortable. There is always professional staff at the reception. The breakfast is downstairs at the restaurant ROYAL HOST; they serve buffet for breakfast and the staff is quite friendly. The restaurant drink bar needs to be cleaned meticulously because there was a cockroach under the coffee machine and there was a lot of coffee and some trash all around the coffee machine and the juice and ice machines. I tile the restaurant staff about this issue however the next day the same trash and coffee was around and under the coffee machine!!!! Yikes!!!!!!

Hotel room was small but value for money. Really top notch service and location was decent!! Really good place to choose for your trip if you’re on a budget!! Small improvement that could be made was slightly more amenities that could be provided such as hair curler (was unavailable at the moment).

Room is a bit small but cozy and comfy with fluffy pillows. Sheer curtain has a bit of holes but functions well. Amenities were plentiful with a huge selection of tea bags - 5 types, even hair mask face mask etc. There is a 24 hour family mart on floor 1, reception on floor 2 (not allowed to eat on lvl 2) which gives convenient access to anything should you need, complete with table and chairs if you want to sit and eat. Also, located near the heart of Ginza. But, the toilet sink smells when you first turn the tap on.

Great location. Subway station close to the today line is just about 200m walk distance. Amenities provided are definitely a plus point for this. Great location and services overall! It is close to the convenience store also.

this is one of the best hotels I had ever stayed in 1. Considering this is an inn, but has the quality of a 5 star. Why? 2. Small and compact room size and yet good enough for a single traveler and importantly, a comfortable bed to give one a good sleep. 3. The hotel provides all the necessity like face mask and hair wax. In the room, there even has an air & fabric fresher spray for your smelly clothing after a yakiniku meal. Lastly, she provided a coin laundry, 400 Yen for a wash and dry...and I really mean dry and clean and fresh.. 4. The location was so conveniently located around subways, restaurants, fast food (Mac & KFC), Family Mart. The train takes you all the way to Narita Airport. Overall, I will strongly recommend this hotel.

It was great! Wide bed (for Japan terms) 1.40m an Enough space left to store our luggage. The people at the reception are super helpful, speak good English and were always friendly. Thanks! Station Kanda is close by and from there a lot of lines transfer you through the city.

Location is near the metro station. Check in was fuss free. A wide range of amenities is also available for guests. However, the room was very small and we could not open two luggages fully.

Hotel was very convenient to Roppongi Station. Lobby was clean and offered lots of amenities. Also had several options for tea (in pouches). Room was a little tight, but expected for this type of hotel. Shower had body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. I would not recommend a large suitcase, as you may have trouble storing it. Hotel was clean and quiet. I would definitely recommend and I will likely stay there again.

I lived for two days in a row. The facility was good. There is a convenience store on the second floor, you don't have to pass the front desk to get there, wearing pajamas is fine lol. BTW the restaurant on the first floor is fine but kind of lack of taste.

The hotel is quite a good location and very close to the train station. The room is very small but it’s enough for one person. I did kind of struggle to open my luggage. It’s very quiet and I slept well. I only had one issue and for this reason I wouldn’t consider booking with this hotel again. When I arrived to check in it was around 8am. The staff at the desk were very kind. I didn’t want to check in early but I wanted to drop my bags off. At this point, the hotel manager (a older lady with glasses came) and said in a sharp tone that check in is at 3pm. I knew this and this was okay. I felt her tone was quite rude and accusatory. It’s my second visit to Japan and up until now I’ve had no issue here and everyone has been very friendly. I was surprised that someone working in the hotel industry doesn’t know how to speak in an appropriate tone while dealing with customers. I did spend money to stay here and do expect a certain level of service. The fact that you can speak English does not automatically equal good customer service. I suggest that you watch the tone you speak in. In addition to this, I didn’t get a baggage tag so I waited and the other staff member called the lady back. She said it was okay and after I left I could hear them giggling at the counter. It wasn’t a major issue as I know the majority of Japanese people are very friendly and I’ve had a great time in this country. I’m moving on to Kyoto next and I was considering to book this hotel chain there but the experience has put me off.
