The accommodation is enough for living alone, but it may be a little inconvenient if you bring a big suitcase. There is not much space to spread out, and the toilet is very small. Be careful, and the water pressure is very weak. (Based on the 4th floor) Other Japanese staff (2 young men, 1 older woman) are kind, but the Japanese staff (1 in his 40s) and the Korean staff served as if they were annoyed. When I checked in, a Japanese female staff member answered, but when I told them I was Korean because I was not fluent in Japanese, she asked the Korean male staff member next to me to do it, but the Korean male staff member said no, either jokingly or because he was annoyed. Even though there was a guest right in front of him? I guess there must be some circumstances, but it seems like something you should do when there are no guests. When I went out, he didn't nod his head, so I nodded first, but I won't say anything else. The hotel itself is old, but it's okay to stay.

The room is spacious and bright, the toilet is separated from wet and dry, there are many places to hang clothes, and there are even small compartments to store luggage. The TV is surprisingly large! There is a bus stop at the door, a few minutes walk to the tram stop, and there is Lawson next to it, which is very convenient! At the same time, it is quiet at night. The bed is soft and comfortable, so you can have a good sleep. After checking in, the front desk staff will give you a Chinese check-in guide, so you don’t have to worry about the language barrier. The staff are all gentle and considerate! A very good stay experience🥰I will come again next time if I have the chance! ! Thank you so much! ! !

The location and appearance were very good.
When checking in, we went into the cafe downstairs and listened to the staff's explanation.
The room had a high ceiling for a capsule type, and there were two outlets.
However, the shower room (2) and toilet (about 5?) were also in the same space as the bedroom. Shoes were generally required, and foreigners walked around barefoot without worrying, but it was inconvenient. There was a luggage storage under the bed, and the door could be closed but not locked. We did not have anything stolen this time.
You can rent towels, slippers, padlocks, etc. as an option, but if you are concerned about this, you may want to bring your own.
The photo shows a sign next to the sink. I think people who want to dry their hair can use it without worrying.

Right in the heart of Shibuya crossing. Ask for the view facing Shibuya crossing and prepare to pay for the upgraded view.
Not suitable for private drivers for airport transfer if you are engaging them because most of them do not know how to get to the level 5 hotel entrance from the Shibuya mark city bus station except for 1 driver who asked around for directions.

I stayed here for about five days and thought it was good. The atmosphere wa clean and nice, and I made some new friends. There are also bars (Golden Gai) just 70 meters away. For men, there is also a jacuzzi and sauna, which were great. On my first night in Tokyo, I rented a tiny room for double the price—I think I got way more for my money by staying here.
The only downside was that you have to check out at 10 and check in again at 14. However, that's not a big deal for me since I wake up early, go to the sauna, explore the city, and come back home at night. It was a bit of a drag, though, when out drinking until 2 AM. :)

Outstanding
GGuest UserI am a book lover myself, and came to stay here for 2 nights in March a week before Easter, mainly for the library theme and book selection. The hotel itself, the book lounge, and the book libraries on each floor was all very very good. However, upon my checking in, it was obvious that the male receptionist on the left pay more attention to Caucasian guests rather than me (an Asian solo female traveller). I had the impression they just wanted to get rid of me asap, and then served the Caucasian guests behind me.
During the whole of my check in process, no one mentioned anything about the special libraries on each floor, no one told me about the free beverages offered “at the far end corner for the reception desk”, and definitely no one mentioned anything about he QRcode library tour!!! I stayed for two nights and it was only after the first night (when I read the books inside my room that I knew of ANY of the services I mentioned above). Of course one may say I could read all those on the signage’s provided in the property. But then…
Upon walking into the reception desk the next day, I did hear the same male receptionist explained in great detail (everything I mentioned above)in English to other Caucasian guests.
I like the library premise of the property, the books selections were great, exhibition on the first floor was quite nice, however, I am not sure if I would stay for a second time, knowing how they treated solo female Asian guest whom they assumed was not civilised enough (that was my impression) to deserve a thorough introduction about this lovely bookish hotel from them. Quite disappointed to be frank, especially knowing how much history this hotel has included!!
SspyeeewThe location is superb. 3 min walk to train station and bus terminal as well as to big department stores hands and Takashimaya. Due to high floor, the view is great! But the service is so so. Requested for extra blanket and couldn’t be acceded unlike Sunroute across the road, the extra blanket was placed on the bed before check. Service definitely needs to be improved
WWinnie PPThe hotel is very close to Shinjuku Station, which made getting around Tokyo a breeze.
Convenience stores like Lawson and Family Mart are right next door, perfect for grabbing snacks or essentials.
The room had everything needed— phone cable, shampoo, and toothbrush etc —making it super convenient.
the staff were incredibly helpful in resolving a minor issue we had, which made my experience even better.
I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip!
GGuest UserLocation is very good next to Nakamise street and not far from Sensoji temple and Dongky , clean and neat new hotel & room, toilet is superior other hotel recent to stay here when I visit Tokyo next time
SSALLESWe had a nice stay at Washington Hotel Akihabara. The hotel is well located, nearby metro lines and local trains which allow us to easily move around Tokyo. Although the room is small, it is well designed and it big enough for few nights. The bed is not very large but comfortable. We managed to sleep with our 2 yo kid. You can also choose between soft or hard pillow. The bathroom was quite big with a nice bathtub. Around the hotel, you have plenty of restaurant and convenient stores. The buffet breakfast was great and everything we try tastes really good ! There is a large choice between Japanese food and wester food. Finally, there is a laundry area which was really convenient.
AAnonymous UserVery clean, spacious, the biggest room I got so far for single occupancy, able to open my suitcase n still got space to walk around comfortably. Very convenient just 7 mins walk to/from Ueno station or 4 mins to/from Okachimachi station. Kensei Skyliner to Narita airport just short walk from Ueno station. Good for last min shopping at Ameyoko Street (Uniqlo/GU, supermarket, Daiso, Donki, etc). Delicious & affordable Chirashi Don Sushi bowl (must have). They also catered free half portion ramen at night, yakult & ice sticks after Onsen (manga at the entertainment room). Definitely will stay again.
AAnonymous Useri booked the triple room as it was the only room left. there was space for only 1 large luggage - the room was a little old but bed and duvet surprisingly comfy. onsen was small so it got a little crowded as the hotel was full that night. location was great - tho the nearest ikebukuro stn exit with lift, C9 (vs 20b), is a little further from the station. excellent authentic chinese food nearby (豪妈 on google maps), and a family mart just across the street. great hotel!
GGuest UserI love the location it’s super convenient. Staff are super polite and smiley.
Service wise is not good too many strange rules firstly, there is no phone in the room. In case u need one it’s near the elevator on each floor to speak to the staff.
The twin bed are way too big for us 2/3 of the room. I can’t even open my suitcase easily.
Only one elevator in this 14 storeys hotel right next to their emergency stairways. There is a sign saying if you are in a rush please use the stairways but we were on the higher floor and it’s so cold February a few degrees Celsius ???? Well no thanks I shall wait patiently then……
No daily cleaning service we stayed 5 nights the hotel offered one time cleaning during our stay. All the dirty linens and garbage have to be placed outside your door by 10am if new towels needed. Strangely one bottle complimentary water was given to 2 guests daily together in a bag of towels and slippers toothbrush garbage bags. Only one washing machine ¥600 35mins, dryer ¥300 60mins available (cashless payment only) Onsen too small and poor facilities.
GGuest UserSmall clean room as expected but having to get your own amenities and very little around the area makes it purely for accommodation purposes. Though there are 2 lines of trains that are very close by it’ll take about 25 minutes ride to get to major Tokyo hotspots like Shibuya. McDonald’s right down stairs and a convenient store all accessible completely undercover was perfect for some of the rainy weather I experienced during my stay
