stayed here fri 24th and sat 25th june had a wee studio room it had a hotplate fridge kettle and microwave very clean big enough and the windows opened which was good . checkin guy was very friendly explaining how the fob worked for boom gate for carpark and to get into lift,,,overall i would stay her again way cheaper than the burke and wills next door oh did i mention it was so clean thanks for a great stay.

The staff at reception were very helpful and prompt. The room was comfy. There was only one chair to watch tv, so someone had to sit on the bed. The bed was comfortable. Had dinner at Zack’s. I had a steak which was excellent and my husband had chicken with garlic sauce. He said it was so tender. The bar staff were friendly and knew their drinks. Close to the Empire Theatre.

Apartments are within walking distance to the city center. Secure parking available. Apartments are large, clean, well equipped and comfortable. Management couldn't do enough to make your stay comfortable. After a night of howling whistling winds and not being able to sleep due to the noise from the wind, management went out of their way to accommodate us and move us to a middle apartment. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. They aimed to please and that's exactly what they did. The apartment has reverse air conditioning so whilst the temperatures dropped to single digits outside, our apartment was toasty warm. TV has all channels and Fox so enough channels to find something to watch at night. Bed rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Bathroom is equipped beautifully znd the shower bigger than most with a lovely rain head in the shower. Water pressure and temperature is great. Kitchen appliances are great. The microwave doubles also as a regular oven, so cooking a meal is easy. Apartments also have washer and drier in the kitchen do no need for taking half your wardrobe if you are staying for a week or so. Would I recommend Laguna, yes certainly would.

Extra bedding supplied for cold nights, tv in room along with tea and coffee supplies and a kettle and a kitchen down the hall for guests to use. I was looking for something cheap and comfortable, so I got a last minute rate, the cheapest I could find with a good rating. The Downs Motel exceeded my expectations. From extra goodies provided in the fridge, to the really spacious shower - I’m sold. For this looking for a comfortable place to rest their head, I definitely recommend this motel. A nice, clean bathroom and those extra amenities that all motels should have (but thy never do) microwave, kettle, toaster and iron. It started heading up today, so I was released to be able to turn the aircon on, as I stepped in. I’ll be back!

We booked online for four rooms as we were up from Melbourne for a wedding. We thought we just booked a budget room but wow were we impressed. Clean, modern rooms fully equipped with cooking station. Pool and billiards all in the recreation area. Perfect for what we needed and great location to town also. Would definitely stay here again
