C Beyond Nilaveli

We were originally due to stay at Uga Beach, but they were having renovations. I'm so grateful they were, as this was my favourite place of our trip. C Beyond is in a beautiful, unbelievably chilled setting. I've never seen such a quiet and natural beach. We barely saw another sole. Our room was separate from the main house, with a plunge pool overlooking the beach, very comfy bed and great A/C. All the guys that work there were truly the best, and always with the biggest smiles. I felt like we were visiting family friends who couldn't do enough for you. It was nice to meet the owner Sanjiv, who was visiting, and enjoy a bbq on the beach under the stars. They also had a guy on hand to provide a snorkelling trip at Pigeon Island, which was a great price. We had a great morning, arriving early before most of the other boats, and our guide helped us spot sharks, turtles, and so many different varieties of fish. My happy place will forever be sat on the veranda at C Beyond, enjoying the view of pigeon island whilst eating delicious food (both western style wraps or 10 dish Sri Lankan extravaganza). Thanks to all the guys there, you made the last 3 nights of our trip the perfect end to our holiday!

Memorable stay at Cbeyond Nilaveli! We spent 3 nights at this wonderful small hotel right on the beach. We were given an upgrade to a beachfront bungalow with private plunge pool! It was furnished in a simple stylish way with amazing ocean views. The seafood dinners and the sumptuous breakfasts were a highlight, but the staff could not do enough to ensure our stay was truly memorable. If you like “off the beaten track” as we do and want to escape the mass tourism hordes in the south then do yourself a favour and visit this beautiful rustic area that retains a local charm that grew on us each day we were there.

As you walk in your draw drops and you go WOW. This is an amazing place. Boutique, almost colonial with old wood everywhere. The rooms are stylish with 4 x poster beds with wide open views across the beach and the ocean. This was also the cleanest beach and the owner invests heavily to keep it that way from the inevitable plastics that wash up from afar as India and Thailand. the pool is shaded and well kept. The food is also amazing. We had 3 x nights with excellent home cooked food that whilst tasty was not too spicy. Set your alarm to see the sunrise and don’t miss the fishermen that land next door with the mornings catch that they are happy to show you. This is an amazing place and thanks to Thani & Habib for looking after us

Wl e stayed for 4 nights here. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The food is great (particularly good were the barbecue on the beach and the crab lunch). The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed doing the mangrove cruise, organized by the hotel. But the highlight for us was the view from our balcony and the common area downstairs. You are quite close to both the sea and the lagoon and have a clear view of both. Strongly recommended.

Great stay and staff. They trained locals and super friendly and worked really hard. The seafood platter was so delicious! You can organise a boat to go to Pigeon island from where you stay which is excellent.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and can highly recommend it ! The whole team of cbeyond was very caring & helpful. The food was gorgeous and we really enjoyed our stay. You have to try the "Lagoon-Prawns". We recommend this place to everyone travelling through Sri Lanka.

We were at this delightful villa with friends and family. What a truly amazing place. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating of our needs. As a family of 5, we had a room that comfortably slept more than that, a large bathroom with outdoor and indoor showers. The food was amazing, stunning seafood, wonderful local cuisine, BBQ on the beach, you name it! The views of the ocean and the lagoon from the elevated deck are just magical. Also lovely to hear how much of the glorious woodwork and windows were recovered from a renovation of another hotel all the way on the south coast of the country. The whale and dolphin watching expeditions organized by the team, together with the snorkeling at both Pigeon Island (a boat ride away) and just off the beach in front of the hotel provide ample opportunities for excursions
