I stayed in October for 2 nights during a business trip. Receptionist was very helpful and speak very good English. Room was very clean and comfortable. There are plenty of free parking places and you can park you car easily. Location was okay quite close to city center. There are complimentary water and coffee in the room. Breakfast was excellent. Wifi free and signal was good. There is a minibar in the room but it is empty you can put your drinks or food. There is also a flower shop at the entrance and you can exchange money there. Rate was better then the bank.

I stayed at this hotel last month and found it to be very comfortable and had all of the amenities one needs while on a business trip. The rooms were fairly spacious and up to date and there was a restaurant and bar to enjoy on premise. Front desk was helpful and friendly. We dined at the restaurant at top of the hotel and the food was very good and waiter was excellent.

Here right very much liked the hotel!!! Excellent service, chic cleanest room with a large bedroom and very large bathroom with perfect clean bathroom, towels, coats! Bedding is perfect! There is a teapot, coffee and tea in the cost of the room, and here the full bar is certainly for the extra charge... a chic view from the window! And in general, who wants to be comfortable, beautiful and elegant to rest for the minimum price(price for the room is pleasant) - I highly recommend this hotel Park Hot Diamond in Katowice! Don't regret and will be satisfied!!! Breakfast unfortunately didn't manage to try because there was a very early flight... Although very wanted! Restaurant in the hotel on the top floor and from there even better view opens (I just went there to see their restaurateur)..

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at this hotel and would have no hesitation in recommending it for business or leisure travellers. The location is excellent for the city centre and train station. The staff offered exceptional service, spoke excellent English and helped us with every query. What made it a really special stay was the wonderful breakfast which was fresh, varied and generous. Our only regret is that we could only stay two nights. I have accessibility needs and they found me a suitable room with wet room. I just can’t fault this hotel on any level. Phenomenal value.

In Hilton you get what you pay - you never get personality, but you get a generic, positive hotel experience. Local main square is by the corner. Has some basic services. Train/bus station is not within nice walking distance. There is one Auschwitz-sized reason for that. Public transport in general is better than in most Polish towns.

Great location. Great staff. Great breakfast, bar and restaurant. Great beer. Great room. Great city to explore and use as a base for a visit to Auschwitz. A few minor issues in room 603: the curtains didn't reach the whole way across one window, the toilet flush wasn't great and the middle panel of the shower screen was missing?! Also note: bring ear plugs if you are facing 'the party street' as it is a bit noisy on a Friday and Saturday night. (Hotel also provided some)

Located opposite Katowice Zaleze station, this is a nice, family run hotel offers excellent ambience and personalised service. Had a great stay over 5 nights. However, accessibility could be an issue with differently abled travellers and if you have heavy bags as the hotel steps are stiff and do not have any lift provision. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. But may become uncomfortable during the summer as No air-conditioning either. However, the overall personalised service, terrific food and beverages and overall ambience are great attractions for this budget hotel outside Katowice.

I booked this hotel mainly for convenience to get to Auschwitz for a 9.30am tour, but I also wanted to treat myself to the superior double room & the spa the evening before. Firstly, there were 2 single beds rather than a double (see photo) and they said sometimes in Poland a ”double” refers to 2 singles. It's misleading and I find it odd they're not more clear, especially as they must've had similar complaints about this before, so beware! Secondly, I went down to the spa to spend time in the sauna and jacuzzi but the area was drafty because the door to a strange patio area was open. I think this is where the outdoor pool normally is but there was nothing there but a couple of chairs and an umbrella, so this was another let down. Thirdly, and the worst thing of all, was the breakfast. Awful all round, I've only ever had as bad a breakfast once before and that was in a Travelodge. The coffee was bland, the choice of food was limited, a lot of the spread was cheaply presented and nothing like the photos, so beware. Worst of all was the fruit which was rancid, literally. See my photo, it's quite unbelievable. Also, rather disappointingly, I was looking forward to having a pint in the cellar bar but I discovered it was only open certain evenings, I was gutted, nothing seemed to be going right here. The only reason I gave this 2 star rather than 1 was because of the dinner. I had purchased it as part of a package with the room and had it in a restaurant attached to the hotel. After reading the menu for a while the waitress told me I needed another menu for the package deal so of course I was suspicious. I've taken a photo of this menu as you should be aware the choice is limited. I ordered the zur, dumplings & tiramisu. For all I know it was all defrosted but to be fair it tasted really good, so this was a saving grace. Anyway, please beware of my points, its not a great hotel but it is just a 5-10 minute taxi ride to Auschwitz (1) so it is convenient, though there will be closer smaller hotels or B&B's that are a closer walking distance I'm sure. I have been totally transparent with this review and often I wish hotels could do the same, please don't be surprised if your stay is not as good as you expected.
