Hotel with quiet environment, close to JR Uji station. The location is good to walk to Byodo in temple and long established tea shop, and the staff is professional and friendly, and the hotel itself is also maintained beautifully. The only dissatisfaction is that there is no view and the room is small, and if it thinks that it is a business hotel, this is an ordinary size. Very convenient location, right in the middle of Kyoto, subway station nearby as well as a pretty decent market literally 2 minutes away by foot. The rooms are small and there aren’t things like a private bathroom, though the shared facilities are nice and clean so there’s no real issue with it.

In early July, I stayed with my grandson (１ years old ３ months) and 5 people with my family, and in late August I stayed with my husband and wife ２ people. In mid August, I booked for 5 people again. Potel is located next to the Kyoto Aquarium, 13 hectares of umekoji Park on the south side, and Jr Shinkansen, limited Express, new rapid trains, and trains stop at each station run south of the park. The old Kyoto City trams run south and west of the hotel, and the west is Royal Park Hotel, Starbucks, Family Mart, Jr umekoji Kyoto Nishi station and Kyoto Railway Museum. There is a parking lot, a front entrance, and a public bath potato hot water in the separate building. I am happy to stay for a consecutive night because the storage space of clothes is large. The thick mattress of the baby bed is kind to the child. The Prince Hotel was the most satisfying hotel in our trip to Kyoto. The hotel is located beside Lake Bipa with first-class scenery and comfortable environment. In particular, the hotel's dedicated bus pick-up service and the luggage delivery service at the Kyoto Station counter bring great convenience to guests, allowing us to arrange our itinerary as we wish. The hotel's breakfast is also very good. When you enjoy breakfast in the restaurant on the 37th and 38th floors, you can enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Biwa through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows! The only dissatisfaction is that check-in is required at 5 pm. If we arrive after 3 o'clock, if we want to check in in time, we will have to pay an additional 2,000 yen; it seems too inhumane.

This hotel was in a really great location, right beside the main Kyoto train station. The room was very spacious and had a nice view of the Kyoto station so you could see the shinkansen trains come in. The only drawback is that at night you could hear the vehicles outside. I would definitely stay here again.

The location of the hotel is very good, right next to Kisen Bridge, and you can hear the sound of the Uji River flowing at night. It's also very close to Kyobuki's Kumiko chair, so it's very charming anyway. Hygiene is okay. It is an old hotel, so the facilities are relatively outdated, there are basically no services, and there are relatively few guests. The floor drain in the public bathroom was clogged when I stayed.

We chose this hotel due to itsʻ location and it exceeded our expectations! The hotel staff was helpful and provided information in Japanese and English. We stayed for 13 days and were impressed with the hotelʻs determination to provide us with clean rooms, towels and other items. This hotelʻs location at Shijo/Karasuma made it easy to get to train stations, bus and the subway. There were also many excellent restaurants and shopping possibilities. One of the features we appreciated a lot was the laundry. We also appreciated that it was quiet.. didnʻt even hear people in the halls or doors close. Having lived in Kyoto for a long time, this was our first time to stay in a hotel and would recommend it for sure.
