Fairyland Hotels in Urumqi

This hotel absolutely deserves a five-star rating! From the moment I walked in, I felt incredibly well taken care of. The front desk attendant had such a warm smile and processed my check-in efficiently. She even thoughtfully recommended some great local restaurants. She was so attentive in explaining the room features and considering my needs, especially since I'm a light sleeper, she suggested a perfect room for me. That made me feel really welcomed. Housekeeping was super responsive too; I requested an extra blanket at night, and it arrived within minutes. This 'home away from home' feeling means I'll definitely be staying here again next time I'm in the city!

Pros: The hotel is generally clean, tidy, and comfortable. It's conveniently located near a night market. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Cons: The road construction on Tian'er Street made it inconvenient for self-driving and carrying luggage. The hotel's directions for self-driving guests were also provided too late, causing me (personally) to wait unnecessarily. I hope they can improve this in the future. Additionally, some rooms don't have a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, and the bathroom door gap faces directly into the hallway. There's no (or a broken) extractor fan, and no bath mat (though a used towel could be substituted). There's also no hand soap or liquid soap. The vanity light was present but didn't work, and the air conditioner mode switch was faulty, though XiaoDu (a smart assistant) could be used to control it. The Wi-Fi was incredibly slow (pictures took ages to load, which is worse than just a bit slow that I could tolerate). There was a teapot and tea, but no teacups (might as well have none at all). I took pictures of everything, but decided against posting them all, except for the bathroom, which was the most intolerable. Cleanliness and environment are top-notch, service is just slightly deducted, but I sincerely hope they make significant improvements to the facilities in the future.

The hotel as a whole exceeded expectations! The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable and the hot water was sufficient. There is also a free laundry room, the front desk service is warm, and the initiative to help with luggage. The location is convenient, eating and shopping around are very convenient. Very good value for money, will consider staying next time. Recommended for friends who have requirements for health and basic services.
