Verona House Aparthotel

I originally booked hotel milano spa, and they gave me a room in the apartments instead. How lucky we're we, the apartment was superb. It was spotless and had all mod cons (they even put in fresh towels after an evening shower). The apartment is central to all the sites in Verona and right across the road from the castle. Also the breakfast was brilliant with a great choice of everything.

A very nice small hotel by the historical centre and Castellvecchio. Very clean, tidy and cosy. Friendly and helpful staff and tasty breakfast with fruits, different kinds of bread and cheese, bacon, eggs...! We had a very pleasant stay and if we ever come back to Verona we will choose this hotel again.

Fantastic location, we found it so easy to get around Verona from here. The staff are lovely, the lady that checked us in was fabulous and gave us a detailed guide to Verona. Breakfast was really decent (2 hot skillets with scrambled egg and an Italian take on sausage annd bacon, lovely bread, an selection of cold meats, cheeses & fruit, great bean to cup coffee machine and the lady ‘running’ it was wonderful - nothing was too much trouble. Our room was fine, quite dated but very clean and we had a brilliant view of Castelvecchio - we’d requested this and communication was great and we were lucky to have our request honoured. Be aware this is an old building and the windows are originals so if you’re a light sleeper and have a Castle view room it may be a tad noisy. We got the bus from the airport (no. 199) which drops you at the train station (Porta Nuova), it’s then an easy 20 minute walk or very quick bus trip onwards from there to the Hotel - the buses go from the train station to Castelvecchio and take less than 10 minutes and it’s then a 2 minute walk. We did a day trip to Venice which was very easy on the train and super cheap! Finally the Hotel is ‘twinned’ with the Hotel Milano & Spa, it’s a 10 minute walk and you can use the hot tub there which overlooks the Arena - take note you need to pre book this; when you arrive you’re given a room at the hotel to change and are given towels, robes and slippers. Ps. The food options in Verona are incredible!

We were in the apartments near CastelVechhio, good location, lots of space for a family of three, nice staff and a good breakfast. In january I was always able to find a parking spot in the street (blue spaces) costing 1 Eur for Hour during the days.

This hotel, for me, is a scam! We booked the Milano hotel, non refundable, for our holidays. The pictures and advert say about being 20m from the Arena, with restaurant, bar, spa, and terrace. After 2-3 days we get an email saying our reservation was actually in Verona hotel. The hotel is located next to casavechio castle which is nice, but the building is not good. It is old with refurbished rooms that you can hear the neighbors at all times. It’s a residential building so you have people who live in here too. The breakfast was great, but there’s no restaurant, nor bar or terrace, much less spa! They have a “honesty bar” that only serves coffee! When I asked management they said in theory we could use the facilities from Milano Hotel, but here is the catch, it was under renovation! We went to check milano hotel and the renovation sign says the license is from June 2022, so they knew all the time we would not w able to use anything that had been advertised, as we booked it in January 2023! That is a scam! Some of the staff are nice, some keep saying it was our fault for having the non refundable payment made, some even start putting words in our mouth because they don’t understand english well enough. Anyways, the ***** hair on the pillow was definitely not the worst part of it all. Stay away!

Our studio had a view of Castelvecchio Museum. We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast prepared by a friendly, skilled chef. There was an abundance of food choices, although get there early because there were slim pickings of fresh fruit the one day i ate late. Housekeeping cleaned well. Helpful desk staff. Perfect, safe location; central to the Verona Arena.
