HeyMi Apartments in City Center

The apartment we had was in the fourth floor of a beautiful building, but there is an elevator. The apartment is very spacious. The beds are good and the kitchen well-equipped. The location is pretty good, not really in the city center, but in walking distance.

We would like to write this review for our host Martin K who was incredibly welcoming since the beginning. He was so very amiable as he told us all about the city’s history during our stay, transport routes that we could take and must-see places to visit. The apartment was also beautiful, clean and in a perfect location near the old city. If we are to come back to Vienna we will definitely be coming back here.

The area is excellent, perceived as city center, we felt very safe to walk around at night. The apartment itself was far better than expected. It was spacy, the WIFI was quite good. The shower worked great and hot water was always available. Beds and mattresses were of excellent quality. I would definitely go again in my next visit to Vienna.

Stayed for one evening, arrived in the morning and the kind gentleman on the reception kept our bags while we enjoyed the sights of Vienna. Located just a two minute walk from the nearest subway station this place makes for a great base for your city break. The apartment was very spacious with two large bedrooms and a pull down bed in the living room. The kitchen had everything we needed including a coffee machine with a supply of coffee. One bedroom had an en suite and there was a second bathroom with a toilet. The apartment had a small balcony, great free wifi and a television complete with Netflix and Youtube. On our departure the gentleman kept our bags with the caveat that we returned by 5pm. A slight downside outside of the apartment is the miles of pipework that runs down street after street and is a blot on the area. Apparently this will be in place for the next four years as a drainage system for a new subway station.

The walk up element is enough of a reason to not stay there. The apartment building has 5 floors and no elevator, so unless you’re coming for a workout don’t stay here with anything more than a backpack. The rooms are big, but the layout very weird and not too well maintained. Our room had children’s stickers over windows and radiators, left from an earlier guest. The internet is extremely slow and connection break ups frequent. Tried it with an iPhone, MacBook, and Dell Windows Laptop and it’s barely good enough to do emails… Finally, we booked a taxi the day before for our morning departure from Vienna to the airport. When we get downstairs the receptionist told us “your taxi arrived at 6am”. We booked this for 9.45am. They were unable to provide any other alternative and only reluctantly offered an apology (but no solution).
