"Conveniently located just beside the train station and a shopping mall. There is also a halal kebab shop just a few minutes away and a McDonald’s right opposite. However, the toilet and shower is separated and there is no bidet. Overall, a good experience with the hotel room being spacious, clean and comfortable for a family of 3."

📍 Rudolf-Sallinger-Platz 1, LandstraBe, Vienna
★★★★ 9.1 (51 reviews)

"One of the worst service experiences I have encountered, and certainly not comparable to the price paid. First, the receptionist was not friendly. While it is perfectly normal for guests to ask questions, especially during a multi-day stay, there was one receptionist who appeared visibly uncomfortable and impatient when I asked for assistance. This was noticeable through both tone and body language, and it made me hesitant to approach the front desk for further inquiries the following day. Second, unlike most hotels where housekeeping can be requested simply by placing a cleaning sign on the door, this hotel requires guests to inform the receptionist directly. Unfortunately, this information was never communicated. As a result, despite placing the sign, my room was not cleaned. Third, I attempted to upgrade to a larger room during my stay, as I had booked for seven nights, but this was not accommodated. Fourth, when I tried to contact the receptionist via the in-room telephone, it was not functioning. Fifth, in many hotels, guests are promptly informed if any belongings are left behind, even small items. In this case, no notification was provided at all. Lastly, the amenities were extremely limited and did not meet the expectations of a hotel in this price range. But the hotel’s design is quite good and unique, and the location is strategic."

📍 Rennweg 16, LandstraBe, Vienna
★★★★ 9.2 (443 reviews)

"Highly enjoyed my entire 6-day stay at the Trend Hotel! The front desk (and the housekeeping too) was friendly and welcoming – they were willing to accommodate our request for two single beds, and even let us check in 3 hours early at 12pm! The room was very spacious and clean with sufficient lighting, and I love that there was a fridge. Would be great if the power outlets were located more closely to the bedside for more convenient phone-charging at night (we could only locate 2 outlets by the work desk). The hotel is conveniently located within a 3-min walking distance to several public transit options, including Rennweg railway station (taking you to the airport, city center) and Tram 71 (taking you to the city center). Loved that we could easily access different food options in the area (Austrian restaurants, kebab stands), supermarkets (Lidl), as well as the Belvedere palace. I will definitely stay here again!"

"I booked a double room and my plans changed, I needed a single room with one bed. I asked them to make the change even without a refund of the difference in price, they refused. They had rooms available, but said since you booked through an agenty, we cannot make any changes to your booking. Really??"

"The hotel is very expensive compared to what it offers. There was no fridge, no minibar, and not even a hot water kettle in the room. The weather was extremely cold, and I needed hot water, but unfortunately the staff informed me that I could only buy hot drinks from the bar downstairs. The prices there were very high as well. Overall, the value for money was disappointing."
