Everything was good just a little crowded . Something to my surprise is the toilet and hair dryer of a 5 star hotel seems a a little too old .

Only issue was lack of any options other than chicken wings in restaurant. Yes it's a seafood restaurant however some people dont eat seafood. Partner on the other hand loved all of her seafood dishes

The hotel itself was nice, but the exterior needs to be updated. The view from the room balcony is spoilt by the state of the building roof, rusty pipes, and boiler rooms. The hotel has a lovely pool area, but there was lots of maintenance taking place, no service, and the beds were not made up, Rooms are large and clean. However, no room service is offered, and the laundry service was terrible. For a 5 star hotel, this is in my mind is not acceptible . The breakfast was really good, staff were helpful and we were more than happy with the food selection. The hotel bar service was slow, and staff struggled with drink selection. Glasses were not offered with beers, the bar closed just after 10 p.m., and they refused to sell to sell to residents.

I forgot some belonging in the room after check-out. The receptionist ran to inform me as I was about to leave the hotel. Then, he brought the stuff for me. Thank you so much!!

Great hotel. Perfect for Xmas. Lovely Xmas tree and decorations. It’s a shame they were doing so much construction in vung tau when we were there but we still really enjoyed our stay here. The food for Xmas dinner wasn’t great but the seafood restaurant across the road by the beach la sirena was amazing.

When you picture a beach hotel resort, you should think beach, beautiful ocean water, lounge chairs, umbrellas, and a nice fruity drink with an umbrella in it. This place was far from that. When you first get a look of the place you should look at the architecture. Think French mixed in with Greek, mixed in with English, mixed in with Italian. Whoever was the architect must have been drunk or on absinthe when they created this monstrosity. The colonial outfits that the bellboys and the mixed European artwork made it all the worse. Next came the beach. The beach would have been nice if there wasn't excavators, rebar, wiring, metal walls and other construction going on surrounding the beach. I didn't even want to step foot on the beach without fear of stepping on a nail or getting something from the water which has runoff from the construction. Private beach of doom! The Imperial Plaza next door has seen better days. There is only one shop open inside and as for the rest of the building, who knows. it's been walled off from other people to see. How about the room? They gave me a free upgrade. Nice of them but it didn't make much of a difference. My friends had the same type of room I booked before the upgrade. The only difference is a dining room which wasn't used since I was eating out. The wall outlets of the room were in areas where you can't really use them to plug in your things. I had to wrap my phone charger around an antique nightstand just to get power. Light switches were in very inconvenient areas of the room, I gave up turning off the living room/kitchen area. Bottled water were these 2 tiny bottles given in each room. I went down to the corner market just to buy water for my room. Counter space in the kitchen was good but in the bedroom or bathroom, not even there. The bathroom had a nice bathtub for baths...not meant for showers even though there is a shower. There was no curtain so water was flowing of the sides and splashing on the floor. This hotel paid some good money to make the pictures look good, but don't trust them at all. The construction to the beach is not going to be done anytime soon and I highly recommend you stay very far away from this place.

Hotel is very good but the sirens restaurent was disappointing.

We stayed at The Imperial Hotel Vung Tau for two nights and overall had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is clean, elegant, and has a beautiful beachside pool area with good service. Our room was spacious with sea view, the bed comfortable, and the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was decent, with a mix of local and international dishes. That said, Vung Tau as a destination is quite specific — it’s clearly oriented more towards local Vietnamese tourism. Not many people speaks english, but in hotel and hotel restaurants - no problem. The beach was a bit rough and not as pristine as in other coastal destinations, and the city itself felt crowded and chaotic in places. For travelers used to quieter or more polished seaside towns, this might be a bit of a culture shock. Still, if you’re looking for a local experience and a well-maintained hotel, this is probably the best option in the area.

We arrived at Vung Tau at a time when the beach was undergoing renovation and the beach club that was the hotel's signature and place by the beach was also undergoing renovation. We missed out on that and it was a little dusty when construction was going on. Otherwise, the room was pretty and food was great (have the seafood at the restaurant - highly recommended).
