It's close to Queen's Wharf. The rooms are large and tall. The outer building is very European style. Arrive, very good feeling, if the price can still be recommended

The location was convenient and the price was acceptable, for an apartment hotel they have thought about somethings to make life convenient such as providing washing powder for the washing machine. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The lighting was not great, in the bedroom there were only two small bed side lights so it not great for reading in bed. The shower head was falling into the wall and when I asked to get it fixed so i could stand under it they moved it to the other side where it fell slightly less towards the wall. There was shampoo/conditioner and body was provided however no hand soap for washing hands The one window that opened was open when i arrived and one of the window closures was too high to reach easily and i couldn't fully close the window initially until i got a chair to stand on it to do so The other little thing that would make things easier for anyone staying is to move the fridge door to open from the other side so you can open the door and against the wall I struggled with the lighting over all but at least they had a separate light in the lounge that i could turn on so i could actually read my book as there was very little ceiling lights The woman on reception desk was very good and a credit to the hotel. she remained calm when things turned chaotic at the announcement of a lock down and lots of guests having to check out early to get home

I was so impressed with the reception staff, who were friendly, accommodating and professional. Claudia and Ella went out of their way to help, and did it with a smile. Claudia met us to drop off a key for the car park, which was very thoughtful as my mother can't walk far these days. Our room is lovely, so central, modern and fresh. Great to just step out the door, and be so close to the shops and other activities...its just a hop skip and a jump from the cable car. Given the 5 star treatment we've received, I would definitely stay here again, when next visiting Wellington. I will also consider booking a Quay hotel when traveling around NZ. Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Check in was a breeze, and we were allocated a room as requested, in a quiet zone of the hotel. Although on a steep hill, the elevator down the street level was a bonus. After a long day, we used the room service and can highly recommend the Haloumi Burger for something different. But please have a Club Sandwich on the menu in the future. The bed was terrific and we had a great sleep. Breakfast (included in our room tariff) was great. A take away container of fresh fruit offered was a nice bonus. Will I/We stay here again? Yes. Sure will.

This place was booked by a family member for the criteria of being cheap and close to the CBD. The location was excellent and could not really fault that. The parking was a bit variable with lots of free metered parks when we arrived on Xmas Day but found it hard to find one during the late afternoons and had to park in adjacent streets on some days. The parking garage options were also a bit pricey. As we arrived on Xmas Day, no one assisted us with our luggage so we took it upon ourselves to get a luggage trolley and go up the lifts to our rooms. Passageways leading to the rooms were a bit narrow. The key access was fine although the door strike plate was hanging on by a single screw and looked like it would fall off anytime soon. The rooms were small, functional with a sofa bed that gave me a slightly sore back in the morning. The main bedroom had a queen bed which was nice. Kitchen facilities were adequate. Room service was a bit lacking - on our 3 night stay, the room was only cleaned on the second morning and we only had 2 towels for the 4 of us initially. The bathroom was really cramped and uncomfortable. Did not try the washer dryer. The views were reasonable - mainly of buildings across the street. Wifi access was rather sporadic. Overall I would only recommend this to people on business for a maximum of 2 nights. Not really designed for families.

This hostel is right in the city center, there is a grocery store across the road, and it is a few minutes walk to the Papa Museum. The whole hostel and our room were very clean. We were impressed with the fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, and we felt great with a hairdryer and a straight hair stick in the ladies bathroom. The staff was friendly and you could still have a very affordable breakfast at the hostel. When you are in Wellington, we definitely recommend you to stay at this hotel.

The hotel is located on Cuba Street, which is very convenient for shopping and eating. Generally speaking, it is relatively convenient. It is a special surprise to have a microwave in the room! There is also a coffee machine, capsule coffee tea bags, etc. in the room. The hotel's lighting design is quite psychedelic, and the room's soundproofing is average. You can hear sounds from the corridor or the next room.

My partner and I stayed at Hotel Waterloo & Backpackers for a weekend in Wellington. We had a private room with ensuite bathroom. The room was tidy and clean, located at the end of the hallway (quiet - Bonus point!). The staff was friendly as well. The Hotel is in a perfect location: close to the Beehive and in walking distance to the CBD, Te Papa, Cable Car etc. Can recommend!

Enjoyed our stay, central location, friendly helpful staff. We thought we had booked a wheelchair accessible room and I guess it was but it was very tight as far as manouvering a person in a chair around. Fortunately my wife still has ability to get out of chair and walk a few steps into toilet area etc but we did think that if someone had less mobility than her, it would have been way more of a struggle. Still enjoyed our stay, great place.

Great customer service, the rooms were well designed and a good size. They had all the modern features you’d need and like for a trip. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Main reason for the review is the customer service, I’ve stayed at quest hotels whilst traveling a fair amount. Hands down one of the best by far. The staff went out of there way to make my stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Would recommend 5 stars.
