Motel Mayfair on Cavell Reviews

Very clean and quiet. I was thrilled to have a nice deep bath tub, after days of hiking. Wonderfully comfortable bed, good tv reception. Staff made every effort to ensure my arrival was smooth.

The room is big and fancy, but the location is not far from the city center.

We booked and we were surprised as no photos clearly showed the motel's exterior, the main photo is of Port Arthur historical site. We arrived late so had keys left for us. Some upgrades would be good however the response from the staff was timely, friendly and precise. We had three rooms, everyone was happy, it was for a place to lay our heads for our last night before flying home.

Location was great, staff nice

The location is near Taroona beach, Tinderbox, Southern Light viewing point, near Mt. Wellington, close to the city. The hotel is quite old. But the room is warm and has towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, microwave and refrigerator. There is no water provided in the room. It is recommended to buy your own food and water. There are tea and coffee bags provided in the room. And there are two packets of biscuits. If you check inlet The hotel will leave the key in a box at the door. Very convenient for people who come late at night.

The room is large, it took a while to renovate, and the furniture is a little old, but it is very clean. It is also equipped with ironing equipment, which is very warm and convenient. The hotel manager is very nice.

The location is good, halfway up the mountain. There are convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance. There is a double bed and a single bed in the room. There is heating. It has all the necessary facilities, but it is quite old. The small refrigerator in the room is from Hisense. The cooling effect is excellent, the overall service is good, and it is cost-effective. It is suitable for families who do not have high accommodation requirements.

A very good hotel. The proprietress is Chinese, there is no communication barrier, and she is very kind. Introducing a remarkable cave very close to Port Arthur, with absolutely unbeatable sea views. The room is very clean and equipped with a microwave, toaster, refrigerator, tableware, etc. It is very convenient for families to travel. You can see the sea view from the hotel. Self-driving parking in Hobart is troublesome. Even if you pay, parking on the roadside is generally limited to 1 or 2 hours. The parking fee for other hotels is AUD 28 a day, and they can park for free. Even if the parking space is full, there is no charge for parking on the road in front of the door. It takes 5 minutes to drive to the city center. The walk is only 1.5km, but the slope of the road is very steep and the walk is a bit tiring.

Mayfair is a lovely quiet place, very easy to find and access to car parking. It is very handy to Hobart City and my stay was very enjoyable. Bed was very comfy and water pressure awesome

Large suite in convenient location. Roomy. Spacious. Aging. Worn carpets. Tiles missing in shower. Mould in grout. Difficult to open windows. (We had great summer weather). Heaters need repair before cold weather.

Quiet & comfortable & the microwave & fridge were really helpful as they allowed me to save money & eat at home. Just a bit far from the CBD.

Old property but clean and close to city. Looks everything dated unfortunately but management is nice and helpful.

It was very small room for 4 people. Did not see AC . No drinking water or facility. We could hear people talking in ther rooms.
