Huangling Shaiqiu Meisu (Huangling Scenic Area Branch)

Living in the Wuyuan Huangling晒秋 painting, this family suite is perfect for kids! Bringing the kids to Wuyuan Huangling to see the 'Shaiqiu' (sun-drying harvest) was the best decision, especially staying one night right in the scenic area! We chose a family suite within the resort, and the experience was truly fantastic. The suite was incredibly spacious, spread over two floors, and checking in felt like a delightful surprise, like opening a 'mystery box'. The room was thoughtfully divided into a kids' play area and a relaxation zone, which earned it full marks from my child. The biggest advantage of staying within the scenic area is saving time and effort! No need to rush for the cable car in the morning, and no worries about its operating hours. When the kids get tired, they can head back to the room to rest anytime. In the evening, we could explore the 'Shai Gongfang' (drying workshops) and 'Wu Gui Tang' (Five Osmanthus Hall), and watch the 'Shaiqiu' panoramic view at sunset from above – it was absolutely breathtaking. Don't miss the 'Flowing Light Forest' light show at night; the little ones loved it, feeling like they had stepped into a fairy tale. During the day, when there were more tourists, we relaxed in our room and enjoyed the views. As evening approached and the crowds dispersed, the ancient village became quiet, which was the best time to appreciate the 'Shaiqiu'. Waking up and opening the window to see the ancient village and drying crops in the morning mist – every photo taken was stunning. This experience of living within the scenery and fully immersing ourselves in the 'Shaiqiu' is truly something you can only enjoy by staying overnight.

Absolutely loved it! The room looks antique from the outside with a wooden door, but it has modern key card access and is very clean and contemporary inside. From just outside the room, you can see the '曬秋' (basking autumn harvest) scenery and terraced fields. Plus, a cute cat even came to my window!

The family suite is perfect for a family of 3-4. The service was very attentive; the staff helped with our luggage. The package also included breakfast, entrance tickets, and the cable car, which was quite convenient and hassle-free.

This guesthouse, located within the Huangling Scenic Area, is operated by the scenic area itself, part of the same group as Zhushan Hotel. It includes tickets and cable car access. There's a special lane for the cable car, so you don't have to queue. After exiting the cable car station, an electric shuttle takes you to the reception center, where a butler then escorts you to your building. Overall, the experience was quite good. We were a group of three and chose a family room, which was assigned to the second floor of Shendetang, a location closer to the old town center. The environment was lovely. Although the building is very old (and the furnishings inside are also quite dated), it was relatively clean. It's suitable for those who don't mind older facilities (if you prefer something newer, Zhushan would be a better choice). Also, since it's a guesthouse in a tourist area, there are always visitors passing by. Old houses don't offer any soundproofing, so if you plan to rest in your room during the day, you'll need to bring earplugs. Breakfast required a walk to the Food Street. I initially expected it to be a mass-produced buffet, but the variety and taste were surprisingly good. I'd recommend it if the price isn't too inflated during off-peak seasons; otherwise, it might not be worth it.

Huangling Shaiqiu Meisu (Beautiful Guesthouse) is a very unique place, a paradise for village girls, haha! Guests can park in a dedicated parking area, which is very convenient. Right outside the room is a photo op paradise, quite interesting. It's a very rural-style place with unique interactive activities like jumping rope. The 'Shaiqiu' (sun-drying autumn harvest) is indeed beautiful. The overall service is also great; guests can take a dedicated cable car lane without waiting, and there are porters to help with luggage. The scenic area isn't too big, so one day is just right for a stay. Highly recommended!

Our trip to Huangling exceeded expectations! Staying within the scenic area made it incredibly convenient to get around, and there were even shuttle buses for more distant spots. In the mornings, we got to enjoy the quiet village all to ourselves, and the night views were peaceful and beautiful too. Our special offer family room was spacious and quiet, and the staff were all very responsible. Honestly, it was so much better than Wangxiangu. Highly recommend!

Due to personal reasons, I booked the room late the night before and didn't realize it wasn't a twin bed room, despite being for double occupancy. So, upon arrival, I found it was a king-size bed room. I didn't have much time to compare it with the other two hotels nearby. The room was converted from a former residence. The first floor was small, with just a sofa and a bathroom. The second floor had two beds, a small balcony, another bathroom, and a small study with a fabric practice scroll and brush. The view from the window was nice, and it was very quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep. Breakfast was served at a fairly large restaurant nearby, not a small eatery. There was a wide variety of breakfast items, and the food was quite good (pictures to follow). The service was excellent overall.
