The hotel is very close to Hongcun and Pingshan, and not far from the town. You can go out to eat local dishes at night. I am not used to staying in private B&Bs, and I think it is good to see this kind of regular star hotel with a good environment. There are not many varieties of breakfast, but the quality is good and not perfunctory. There are no shopping malls in the whole Yi County.

It is a 20-minute drive from Yixian East High-Speed Railway Station and takes RMB 4 by bus to Xidi Scenic Area. Mobaili is considered a boutique B&B in the scenic area. It is located very close to the ticket office at the main entrance of the scenic area and the bus station. On the ground floor is an Hui cuisine restaurant and a small wine shop. , go up another floor to the front desk of the B&B. The interior layout and the proprietress can be regarded as a scenery of the B&B. The style of the B&B is the new Chinese style that combines tradition and modernity. The room is very comfortable and clean, and the scenery looking out is beautiful. The top platform overlooks the Xidi ancient buildings. A small disadvantage of the B&B is that after taking a shower, the toilet area that is supposed to be separated from wet and dry areas will see a small amount of water. Overall, I am very satisfied with this stay. If I have the opportunity to go to Xidi/Hongcun again, I will also choose Mobaili and stay a few more nights (hope for a discount😅).

A beautiful homestay, especially the tea room, study, and small meeting room on the first floor, which are beautifully colored and perfect in details. The second floor is the guest room, the third floor is the restaurant and terrace, and there is an elevator. The room is also clean and spacious. The breakfast is particularly good, the auntie is friendly, the terrace has a good view (Figure 10), and parking is also convenient. The only drawback is that the environment at the door is average, the homestay is not along the road, and a sign can be erected on the road. It is easy to miss, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to Hongcun.

The stay at Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel was remarkable. Received a call from the host (小李管家) while on the way to confirm my arrival time and needs. She even helped me arrange a driver to pick us up from the Huangshan North train station at a reasonable cost. Driver (李师傅) was friendly and gave us lots of tips while visiting Huangshan and we ended up using his services throughout the 3 days we were there.
When we arrived, 小李管家 was right at the hotel entrance waiting for my for us and checkin into our rooms was a breeze. Rooms were clean with all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. Most impressive was the hotel layout and design which was very artsy and minimalist for a place like Hongcun. It was simply amazing! Me and my family especially loved the lobby and the coziness especially in front of the fireplace during winter.
Hotel Location was within walking distance (200m) to Hongcun Ancient village and around 40mins drive to Huangshan mountain and around 1.5hrs drive to the Huangshan North Station or Tunxi Ancient Street.
Will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives if they are planning to visit Huangshan one day!!!

Very nice hotel, perfectly located opposite of the Hongcun Scenic area. The staff was very welcoming and set up a Wechat group for infos and questions. Our room was very clean and cosy. The hotel has a free afternoon-tea from 2-5pm and you have to make a reservation in advance because the time seats are limited. It is located in a cost tea house. The tea and snacks served were nice and delicious. The outdoor pool was refreshing and clean, with a nice view. To Hongcun you can just take a 5 minute walk and leave the car at the hotel. There is also a Covid-Testing station directly next to the entrance of the Scenic area. For breakfast they had a big selection of local food, we really liked it. The only negative point we have to say that the tea in the morning tasted not good, they didn’t use filtered water, so it had a moldy old taste. All in all I can really recommend the hotel and would book it again. The location and the staff was really great!

The homestay is inside the scenic area, and the car is parked in the underground parking lot of the west gate. The lady will contact in advance and arrange for the staff to drive the battery car to pick up. The homestay is in a small alley, quiet in the hustle and bustle. Although the door is small, there is a different world inside, a very distinctive small courtyard, the room is also very clean, the bathroom is very large, the bed is very comfortable, the toiletries are Hermes, and the bathroom is Kohler. He wanted to pick me up at the south gate of Hongcun, but I said no, it's easy to find! The decoration is relatively simple, clean and hygienic, and the bedding is also very comfortable! It's very close to Nanhu, Yuezhao, and Chengzhitang, and it only takes a few minutes to walk there! I had a meal at the inn at noon, and guests can get a 12% discount. It was delicious! The first time I lived in a house with 200 years of history! Parts of it looks like a museum, but the rooms are modernized in a nice way! Seriously, it looks like a fancy tea place or a private mansion, never expected a hotel like this! The owner lady was very nice, showed the way to the place (navigation in the village is a bit difficult for a newcomer) and helped to change the room to a single bed when heard that my friend was not coming. Very friendly approach! I would recommend this place to anyone, who would like to get an authentic experience of Hongcun village!

One of the best B&Bs I've stayed in all over China. I'm not biased towards my hometown and fellow villagers. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, the boss is good, the breakfast is great, the old man even served us breakfast, the room is even more comfortable, in fact, the best thing is the location, right at the south gate, right by the South Lake. Here are a few pictures of the view you can see from the second floor terrace.

Service: The staff were extremely accommodating and welcoming! We were able to communicate via WeChat and organize transportation beforehand.
Location: This guesthouse is a 5 minute drive from the main Hongcun Village entrance and the owners kindly drove us there! Although this hotel isn’t inside the village itself, it’s still convenient and in a quiet location!
It’s a 1 hour drive from the Huangshan North Railway station and 1 hour drive to the Huangshan Tangkou Transfer Center.
Food: There’s a restaurant on-site which has an extensive dinner menu. Honestly, you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner without leaving the premises! Very convenient and the food is good quality- highly recommend.
Amenities: The guesthouse is newly renovated and has top notch furnishings. Everything is clean and comfortable. The floor heating was nice to have in December!

Unlike most hotels within the village, this hotel has conserved the architecture of the exterior and interior of the over 300 years old structure. It is well maintained with modern amenities and a nice manicured garden filled with bonsai plants. The Chinese breakfast was simple and nice. The menu has a good range of beverages and the food was good at reasonable prices.
The room we stayed was small but cozy. It is within the main building and just outside the room there is a reading lounge. It was quiet and hardly used while we were there.

GGuest UserMy family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise.
The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days.
At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us.
Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

AAilvyoudetingtingThe famous Banyan Tree. I saw that Ctrip had launched an event and decided to stock up. I will take my family to stay here when I am free. This is my first time to Huangshan, Anhui. As soon as I got off the high-speed rail, the natural beauty made me feel relaxed and happy. Looking far away, there were mountains in autumn colors. It takes about 45 minutes to take a taxi from Yixian Railway Station to Banyan Tree. The security uncle at the gate is very rigorous and serious. He will confirm the entry of the vehicle before letting it in. The responsible management makes people feel safe. I checked in at the front desk at 3:30 in the afternoon. Because the hotel had a large-scale event that day, the room cleaning was very busy. We waited for less than 10 minutes. A staff drove an electric sightseeing car to take us to the room. Luyuan's room, smart toilet, fresh air system, central air conditioning, rich lighting scenes, aromatherapy, a large round bathtub and enough dry and wet separated bathroom space. Banyan Tree is really well located. There are views everywhere outside the window. Butler Binbin immediately added my WeChat to understand our needs and made arrangements immediately. I found a sound insulation problem at night and thought about reporting it the next day. Unexpectedly, Binbin immediately arranged to change the room after understanding it. He said there are also two-bedroom villas. The response speed is really fast.
The villa has two floors. The two bedrooms have separate bathtubs. Families can soak in their own bathtubs at the same time. You can watch the sunrise from the terrace in the morning.
There are not many people in the swimming pool. We play in the water like a private pool.
The breakfast is rich in variety and of good quality. It is rare to see small wontons with meat that big.
I went to Hongcun and Tachuan. If you want to enjoy the autumn colors, Banyan Tree can occupy half of them. The only thing is the trash can in their bathroom. The trash can that opens with a foot is placed behind the toilet. It is very anti-human when using it. I have already reported it to Binbin. I hope to see changes next time I go there.

XXuelangyiAs an authentic Huizhou native who left home when I was young, I came to Hongcun and met Zhang Gongguan for the first time, but I was amazed by the whole ink painting Qingming. After walking through the streets and alleys, I finally found the low-key house number. I opened a small door and opened a paradise. The antique Ming and Qing Dynasty old houses, restored in the Hui-style style, and simple and elegant furniture make people feel like they have traveled through time and space and returned to the prosperous ancient Huizhou of the past. In the front hall and back yard, the centuries-old mottled walls are paired with the black and white colors of Qingming rain, but it also has a sense of vicissitudes like ”in the old days, when kings went to the hall and swallows flew into the homes of ordinary people”, it was as if they were in a Chinese ink painting. This is an old house with a history of 300 years. It is located in the core scenic area of Hongcun. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to Moon Marsh. There are many types of guest rooms with different styles. Almost all of them feature Chinese retro style. The carved wooden beds, wooden couches and dressing tables are all antique designs. The calligraphy, paintings and porcelain in the room highlight the famous Hui school. The door is an antique wooden door latch. key. The facilities in the bathroom are absolutely high-end. Dyson hair dryers and Hermès bath products are both rich in history and considerate. The owner lives with his guests and has four cats, several courtyards, and a beautiful swimming pool. The guests can drink tea and relax while leaning on the garden view. The butler's service was extremely attentive. CChi Kwan BrainThe hotel is a brand new one. Once arrived, the hotel reception staff served with a warm smile and generously grant us free breakfast for 2 mornings. Hotel renovation looks well and the room facilities are all modern and high tech. I was particularly impressed with its WCPan which has an auto washing services for buttock. The bed linen and flooring are clean well. Environment nearby is beautiful village scene where we enjoy having a lesuire walk there. All in all, it is a very good hotel which can make you relax even you just stay in the hotel. Ha one more that is the restaurant next to the hotel where one may enjoy delicious Chinese meals. The staff there are also very nice. Eating there is just like having meals at home. I am sure I will stay in Vienna again when next time I go to huangshan.
