First time experiencing a homestay like this, and the owner is the reason I want to do it again.
I usually don't write reviews like this, but the service baffled me.
The day before my arrival, the owner asked ways to contact; we added eachother on WeChat and communication was extremely easy.
Gave me options from picking up from the airport to tips on how to get there safely and easy.
This made the arrival very easy and I felt safe/confident.
They took our luggage to the room, accomodation itself was quite pleasant, everything was clean and they were understanding.
The place is quite remote, so there were barely any food options. The owner offered us their food options, first I wasn't intrigued but in the end we chose to order.
It went smoothly, got a message we could come downstairs for food; it was an amazing homecooked meal that made me feel like I was back home.
After dinner he insisted to plan our whole 2-day Zhangjiajie itinerary. From ways to travel to activities. He made clear how we could get the most out of the 2 days while being realistic about time.
This went to smoothly, he purchased the tickets for us for the retail price, similar to the price on trip.com.
The days went by so smoothly, it was like having a free tour guide with the stay. When there were any questions, messages and calls were responded immediately.
I can write so much more, but all I can say is that this was one of the best experiences I've ever had while staying in any accomodation, even compared to high-end hotels.
Thank you so so much for the amazing experience, without you I wouldn't have seen so much in 2 days.

The room, the View, the location everything was awesome. The host helped us planning the best route through the awesome natural forrest park and tianmen mountain. It was amazing. He was soo awesome and could speak English very well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Flowers Valley and would highly recommend it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, Henry gave us some excellent tips for visiting the area. The rooms and view were lovely and we liked the food. It was the perfect place to come back to after big days of exploring.

Amazing hotel in the heart of Zhangjiajie prefecture!
Host was lovely & attentive, helping with both restaurant recommendations & railway transport. Great service. The rooms were incredible, especially at the price point. Will come again!

Nice hotel with very spacious rooms and beautiful view. Staff and owner are the best and will do everything to make your stay comfortable. Also clean, good breakfast and a nice pool.

Our stay at Flowers Valley Homestay was unforgettable, thanks to **Henry**, the owner, who went above and beyond to make our Zhangjiajie trip seamless and enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, his warmth and attention to detail stood out—he gave us *spot-on recommendations* for kid-friendly activities and even tailored a *smart, efficient hiking plan* for Zhangjiajie National Forest Park to suit our family’s pace.
One example of his incredible kindness: When there was a **misunderstanding with park staff** over our child’s ticket fee, Henry *personally covered the overcharge* and resolved it directly with the park—a gesture that truly reflected his dedication to guests’ comfort.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! We really enjoyed our stay there. The room was spacious, quiet and comfy. The impeccable and responsive service is unmatchable! The owner and his wife are attentive and kind. From room matters, chauffeuring us to and from station & attractions, recommending good food and to preparing our meals, they did a magnificent job. The food was delicious! We would stay there again next time. Would give a score that is more than 5.0 if I could!
