The owner of this hostel is really friendly. Additionally, the location is great, as you can see the sea (or more accurately, the ocean) right outside. The overall facilities are very complete, with rooms featuring password locks and safes for storing personal items (also password-controlled). The environment is very clean. I really like it. The kitchen space is also very spacious. The price is also quite reasonable. Overall, it offers great value for money.

The facilities are good but I was so angry that the staff took away our food stored in the fridge just because we forgot to write down the date , we have written down our names. One of the staff said that someone might have stolen our food. They advised us to close the floor door so that outsiders couldn't come in. I suspected the staffs have taken the food away for self used. If so, it is unforgivable as we had limited budget for our trip so we chose this cheap hostel.
The hostel should learn from Norway Bergen Montana Hostel , the unnamed & undated food would be treated as free food & stored at the very bottom box of the fridge for everyone to eat. It has many fridges for us to us there, not like this hostel which has only 2 fridges & no free food box provided.
Lovely clean and spacious room. Nice little kitchen area with microwave to heat food.
Buffet breakfast was OK. Personally not to my taste, but that is only my opinion. The 16 year old with us loved the waffles with the choice of toppings!
The porridge which I do enjoy was good day 1 but very watery day 2. Choice of bread that could be toasted, margarine (Sorry I am a butter fan!), preserves, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, tomatoes etc.
Free coffee wasn't great - again I'm a coffee snob and like a good cup of filter coffee. I did notice there was coffee to buy.
The room was great and the staff very helpful. We were able to park right outside our room.
Good location for Reykjavik by car, Thingvellir National Park etc. We travelled from here to both and also to Snaefellsnes Peninsula, which was worth the drive. Also we visited Rekyholt, Barnafoss and Hraunfossar waterfalls, Deildartunguhver Thermal Spring - try the tomato soup!

This was our second stay here, so we knew what to expect this time around. We had a room with no window, which I do not at all recommend! There was zero temperature control, and it got very hot very quickly. The room opens up to the hallway, so zero privacy, and lots of people peeing into our room while we were trying to just cool the place down. There is literally not enough space on the floor to open your luggage. So, we were prepared this time and got all of our clothes out and everything in the parking lot, and just left her stuff in the car. This way, we had the tiniest walkway to move around to get from the bed to the bathroom, but that was literally it. The staff was helpful and what they could, but there’s nothing they can do about a hot room with no ventilation. But, around seven in the morning, the cleaning staff came to the room next-door and sounded like they were having a party. I could distinctly hear three different voices and every word they were saying, along with doors, slamming, and lots of excessive noise that woke us up way sooner than we needed to before our flight. I sleep with earplugs to avoid this, and even through the earplugs, I could make out every word these cleaners were saying. Not the most respectful staff, even after I woke up, asked them to tone it down, they just ignored me and went on with their Excessive noise. Aside from finding plenty of hair all over the room, it was pretty clean, but the shower is exceptionally small. I’m a tiny person, so it wasn’t terrible for me, but I could not at all extend my arms and it made for a very rushed shower. The elevator works, and there are actually two, but if the hotel is full, I recommend taking the stairs, even up to the sixth floor. I once waited 16 minutes for the lift, and eventually just decided to take the stairs. All around, it’s a place to stay, and I’m sure the rooms with windows are much better, but I do not recommend this hotel overall.

Huge hostel that has some private rooms. The common bathrooms were kept very clean despite one of the shower rooms having a window that could easily be seen through from a lawn on the privacy. The beds in the dorms are a little rickety and I wondered if they were very stable but they held up during the two nights I stayed there. There were a lot of university students here and they were surprisingly well behaved.

Except that the door could not be opened at first, after contacting the landlord, the landlord opened the door for us in the background and then updated the correct password. The room is relatively short and does not have a direct view of the sea, but other than that it is very good. The facilities are complete and easy to use. The multi-function oven and refrigerator are very convenient.

This is not at BSI Bus Stop. This is at Bus Stop Reykjavík. It’s not far from Bus Stop 6 and I could use Kapper so that saved me a couple of taxis. Just don’t be afraid to walk out to the highway and cross at the stoplight. They have a lot of tours and the private room is nice. Just avoid wearing socks in bed or else it will lead to Icelandic levels of static generation. It hurts.

Great place to stay in beautiful Reykjavik and it's very fairly priced compared to other accommodation in the city.
The concept is mid-way between a hostel and a hotel. Yes, the rooms are small. But they are private, with shared bathrooms and private showers.
The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. They are always there to help. The hot tub is an excellent addition as well.
The only suggestions would be: provide a plug socket next to the bed (although, there is a USB-C and a standard USB charger), provide a slightly larger desk to fit your suitcase and perhaps a basic chair.
Otherwise, the place is excellent and I'd definitely recommend it for your visit to Reykjavik!

The hotel was very centrally located and modern. The room was spacious and comfortable - a little bit old but not a big issue. They offered to store our luggages upon check out which was a good service. They didn’t provide any parking space but there were public parking spots nearby.

TTaiyangshen101Hotel location is very good, just next to the cathedral, within a kilometer walk, almost covers the important business district of Reykjavik, can meet all the requirements of life
GGuest UserLocated in downtown Reykjavik, it is convenient for travel and has a good surrounding environment. However, it is a self-service hotel with no front desk and you have to contact by phone, which is very troublesome if you don't have good language skills. The breakfast is OK, rich and purely Western. Attached are photos of the surrounding environment.

HhalfdotzThe hotel is very cosy and the staff are very attentive to our needs. We have stayed there for honeymoon and they gave us complimentary upgrades of room with free wine and chocolate which is pleasant surprise too. The hotel is also central located. There is also free access to gym, sauna and outdoor hotspring too.
Greatly recommended

TTamarafriendly staff, the sauna and hot tub were clean and nice。。。。our room was perfect, but if you are picky with drinking water, bring your own to the room。the water from the tab is drinkable, but has a lot of sulfur in it and smells this way。
the breakfast was very good, different coffee, waffles, bread, porridge, fruits,。。。。
