I had a pleasant stay at this hotel in Japan. The staff were courteous and helpful, providing excellent service throughout. The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with modern amenities. Its location was convenient, close to public transport and popular attractions. The overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Breakfast offered a good variety. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.
I wasn't familiar with the Mitsui Garden chain, but this was a fantastic introduction. The hotel is located three bus stops away from the train station, so easy to get to. The design is clean, understated, and typical Japanese. The public bath on the top floor and laundry facilities are welcome amenities while travelling and sightseeing, and the ability to leave your luggage after check-out is a nice option.. But the most impressive feature of the hotel is the breakfast buffet and the option to use the breakfast coupons at two nearby restaurants. There are so many options at the breakfast buffet, both Western and Japanese, with many local options, and all wonderfully prepared. We wanted to try everything, but our limited stomach capacity stopped us. If in Kanazawa, this is the place to stay.
Conveniently located across Kanazawa station, the hotel is easily accessible. Glad to see the mountain view from my hotel room. The breakfast spread is fantastic! As my stay was during the colder month of December, consistent hot water at the turn of the tap without any wait is really good!
My only complain is that the central aircon system is not pushing out enough air, even at highest speed, making the night feel stuffy.
Fantastic location near to Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen. Good breakfast and snacks and drinks throughout the day. Public parking only available outside of hotel chargeable at 1200yen.
Will come back again
The hotel is way too amazing. There are various amenities for free, like coffee machines on the 1st floor, and welcome drinks for free on the 2nd floor. Also, the bathroom is a lot more surprising with a large bath tub and a multifunctional spray. I would def choose this hotel again if visiting Kanazawa in the future.
Nice and cozy hotel in the heart of Kanazawa!
It’s located near the market and some eateries.
You’ll get to have noodles for supper, relax in a good bath in the open air and cool down with ice cream when you are back in the hotel.
Great hotel very close to the main attractions of Kanazawa. The loop line bus runs right on the street the hotel stands on, the samurai district is just a few steps away and the museum district and Kenrokuen garden are in walking distance. Quite a few places to eat nearby. The best coffee is Townsfolk coffee several minutes away.
The rooms in the hotel are on the bigger side compared to what you usually see in Japan (we stayed in the Moderate double room). The bed is quite big and comfortable, there is a choice between normal pillows and grain pillows. The rooms and the hotel look very stylish. There's free unlimited coffee for guests (makes americano only, fine if you're not too picky about your coffee)
My best stay in Japan by far in a whole month through the country. Price was excellent for all the service and quality the hotel has. The staff is extremely helpful and very kind. I’ve never seen such a level of cleanness in absolutely every corner. The spa included is a big plus. The bed was very comfortable and I didn’t expected such good size of the capsule. Having fridge and chance to heat food is very considerate too. The location is simply perfect and the whole place is very silent (even relaxing music played all times). I will definitely come back!
The place is located quite near to the Kanazawa station. However it is not sheltered all the way. The lobby is at the highest floor. If you are taking JR from other places or the bus from takayama, it is quite a value for money place to stay for a night.
The hostel felt secure, the bed was comfy and the room with the beds in was a nice cool temperature. Each pod has a small safe and space underneath the bed for a suitcase/backpack. The bathrooms were always clean. The only thing I didn’t like was that there is no ceiling to the pod so the room lighting & fire escape signs illuminate the pod. Bring an eye mask!

Amazing
HHah MarvinThe positive reviews are real! We're very glad to have stayed here and would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
First off, the buffett breakfast is amazing: it offers local Kanazawan fare to standard Japanese favourites like tempura, sushi and sashimi to ubiquitous American breakfast offerings like sausages, bacon and a wide choice of eggs. Fancy sparkling wine for breakfast? They're available as well!
Secondly, great location. 3 mins walk to Omichi market, 10 mins to Kanazawa castle, 10 mins to Higashi Chaya, 20 mins to Nagamachi District. Honestly, Kanazawa is such a walkable town, you are always able to walk from one attraction to the next. The hotel also provides a shuttle bus from mid-morning to late afternoon that runs to Kanazawa station and back.
Rooms are well-appointed, large by Japanese standards and there's even a bathtub. Two thumbs up!
Ffyi guyClean and thoughtful set up. Well equipped kitchenette. With brand new dish sponge and kitchen towel ( items often overlooked at other service apartment hotels).
Spacious lounge area that had free flow beverages in the evening during our stay. Competent breakfast but lack variety as there was no change in menu during our 3 days stay.
You can access the restaurants in the same building via the escalator in the shared outdoor area next to the restaurant. Location is superb as it’s a short mostly sheltered walk to Kanazawa station
TTravelang88The place is located quite near to the Kanazawa station. However it is not sheltered all the way. The lobby is at the highest floor. If you are taking JR from other places or the bus from takayama, it is quite a value for money place to stay for a night.
MMagnus TanThe dorm was quite tricky to find on the sidewalk, walking from JR Kanazawa station, the sign was on a wall behind me, in the walkway leading into the building it was. One should look out to the left once you’ve reached the building.
There were no staff when I checked in late at night around 10pm, but I received an email beforehand detailing the guest forms I should fill up and some other information. Once I arrived, there were other clear instructions about my bunk, luggage storage and house rules. The entry area had several books and leaflets about the area and a map indicating eateries and sightseeing locations recommended by staff, a useful touch. Some of it were in English too.
The bunk was perfectly acceptable for a quick night sleep. The bed was wide and had lockable lockers to the side. Refreshments like drinks, snacks and noodles were also available for a small fee and payment was done via a tin box. Overall, very good value for money and it provided an opportunity to chat with other travellers staying by there. I chatted with someone from Taiwan and a local working at Kanazawa station’s tourist information centre. He was snowed in for the night and it’s worth noting that, it would be a struggle to haul luggage through heavy snow on the way to the property.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located at the east exit of Kanazawa JR Station, with extremely convenient transportation. It is very convenient to go to Kenrokuen Garden, Higashi Chaya Street and other attractions. The Omicho Seafood Market is within walking distance. I will choose this hotel again when I come to Kanazawa in the future.
EElisia LohHotel is conveniently located on the east gate of Kanazawa station, with nearby shopping malls (opp Forus shopping mall), and lots of restaurants.
Hotel is more like business hotel setup, furnishes is dated but clean. The only downside which we don’t like is the bedside lamp is fixed very near to the bed, am very afraid will bang onto them when sleeping too near.
Kanazawa is very tourist oriented, there is a tourist loop bus which you can purchase for the day which is about 800yen per adult unlimited rides on this loop bus (otherwise per trip is about 210 yen), you can purchase the ticket from the East gate bus information counter, and bus boarding at bay no 7. This tourist loop bus passes the tourist spots like the Chaya district, Kanazawa Castle Park / Kenrokuen (same bus stop), Omicho market (which is about 15 min walk from Kanazawa station).
GGuest UserThe hotel is located around 10pm walk from Kanazawa station. There are a series of stores and landmarks located along the road walking there. One convenience store right next to the corner. And about 15 min walk to Kanazawa castle and Kenroku Park. The room and the bath is clean. Customers will need to scan with their cards to get access to their floor. Security is good.

Kkan-chanI stayed here for several nights. It was a bit of a walk from the Katamachi bus stop, but it wasn't too bad. The room was quite spacious for the price, but there was only a shower and no bathtub, which was unavoidable, but I was satisfied. The large public bath was also on the second floor. I didn't use it this time, but they listened to my request, so I would like to use this hotel again.
