I recently stayed at this hotel and was really impressed! The location is super convenient — just a short walk to a major shopping mall, which made it easy to grab meals, shop, and explore without needing a taxi. The room was surprisingly spacious, modern, and very clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable — I slept like a baby every night. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and everything in the room felt brand new. One thing that stood out was the staff. They were all friendly, professional, and spoke good English, which made check-in and asking for recommendations a breeze. If you’re looking for a comfortable, affordable place near the mall, this hotel is a great choice. I’d definitely stay here again

Need a car to reach there. Can consider going to right of Marriott. Small towns exotic flavours. This Marriott is a bit old. But is a resort place. Has huge swimming pool and slides. Link to beach. Overall a good hotel.

I recently stayed at a resort hotel in Rayong during a business trip, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The location offered a perfect balance—peaceful and scenic surroundings ideal for relaxing after a full day of meetings, while still being conveniently accessible to the city’s business areas. The hotel staff were welcoming, attentive, and quick to assist with anything I needed, making my stay smooth and stress-free. My room was spacious, quiet, and equipped with all the essentials for both rest and work—reliable Wi-Fi, a comfortable desk, and great amenities. Each morning started with a delicious breakfast, featuring a variety of local and international options that catered to every preference. It was the perfect fuel before diving into a busy schedule. I highly recommend this hotel for business travelers seeking a productive yet relaxing environment during their stay in Rayong.

It is a local hotel with the same concept as the Ibis Hotel. It is a hotel that is not burdensome for business trips or a one-night stay alone. However, there is no hair dryer.

It's clean, but the water in the bathroom will be stuck under the sink and not flow into the pipe. The room is not very soundproof. You can hear the sound from the hallway when you are in the room and hear the sound from other rooms when you are in the hallway. It's not far from the main road. There is a small parking lot (I went during the New Year and there were a lot of cars), but compared to the price, everything is worth it. It's great. I will definitely come back.

Our hostess in the restaurant Fon was very good in organizing food orders for us and quick to sort out the cupuchino machine when the milk stopped. She knew my surname, and that was important in the details about the guests. The hotel was quick to sort out queries we had.

CCarlOverall, not bad but a few key areas need improvement. Pros Excellent location with everything you need, including a nice beach, on your doorstep Restaurant serves decent Thai and Western food at good prices Dining right on the beach Beach is well kept and while not private never felt crowded Rooms are good sized with nice bathrooms Cons Mattress is rock hard with a very thin and almost non-existent pillow Walls, ceilings and floors very thin so be prepared to hear everything and everyone 24/7 Breakfast is very sad and not worth paying for

MMJ98Positives: > Beautifully designed - the outward appearance of the hotel is quite spectacular and is very well decorated. > Comfortable rooms - the beds are large and comfortable with plenty of pillows and cushions and the rooms have plenty of places to sit. > Room size - rooms are large and feel spacious. > Cleanliness - The hotel was immaculately clean in all areas. > Staff - Staff were very friendly and accommodating. > Location - the location is ideal for walkability to shops, restaurants and the beach. Negatives: > Events - The hotel also hosts events which can be very loud and go on late into the night. > Doors/soundproofing - We noticed that there was a significant gap in our door which meant that it wasn't particularly soundproof and we were kept awake most of the night (until 2am) by other guests outside our room. > Location - although I have stated the positives about the location above, the negatives are that the hotel is in close proximity to some bar with live music or karaoke which is incredibly loud and can go on very late into the night. Both the noise from the guests at this hotel and the event down the road was very significant and kept us awake late into the night. > Breakfast - Breakfast is served cold. Although they have the equipment to keep the food warm, for some reason they choose not to. Unless you are lucky enough to catch something as soon as it is placed in the container it will go cold quickly. Eggs, bacon, fried rice, local dishes etc are all cold by the time you get them which is not common for Thai hotels and also very disappointing. Comments for the hotel: > Doors - please ensure all doors do not have gaps in between. This can be done easily with some rubber lining on the door frame. This would increase the soundproofing of the room dramatically. > Noise - I understand that the hotel cannot control the bar down the street which plays loud music all night but it does have control over its own events and its own guests. There should be strict rules about drunk guests making noise late into the night and knocking on doors. Nowhere in the rules does it state ”quiet hours” which I believe it should. I understand that events at the hotel serve as a large source of the hotel's income, but there's no need to neglect other guests who stay there. > Breakfast - use the equipment you already own properly and keep the breakfast food hot. I do not know any Thai people who enjoy cold food and keeping the food warm would increase the quality of the breakfast dramatically. Despite being a small cafe, the breakfast has quite a variety and the flavour is good but the temperature of the food really ruins the breakfast.

MMJ98Cleanliness - The room was fantastic, spotless in fact, 5/5. Location - I give this 3/5 because the hotel is located at a beautiful beach. However, the street around the hotel has nothing else on it (not the fault of the hotel obviously). The beach itself is beautiful, I will repeat, but only immediately in front of the hotel. The rest of the beach is very dirty. Service - This is where this hotel becomes a real disaster, and if I could I would give this section 0/5. We checked in around 11pm to 11:30pm. The staff came to the counter while watching a movie on his phone and left the movie playing full volume whilst looking for our key. After a very long process of checking the computer he led us to a room. He stumbled a lot on his way and appeared drunk. When we got to the room, he looked inside and told us it was already occupied. He told us that our room had been sold to someone else because we were late checking in and led us back to the reception where he walked off somewhere without telling us any more information. We stayed at the reception and used the bathroom facilities in the meantime. I also proceeded to contact trip dot com's customer support to let them know about the issue. After a while had passed he came back and walked past us to the bathroom. After coming out of the bathroom he led us to a new room and told us that this room was now available. The whole thing was bizarre and we were caused to worry unnecessarily by being told that we didn't have a room. I cannot think of any justification for his actions and it started off the stay at this hotel very poorly. Amenities - The amenities provided by the hotel were adequate. They included a bottle of water in the room. I do like when hotels provide toothbrushes and other smaller things so that would be the difference between me providing a 4/5 and a 5/5 for this part.

GGuest UserOur Favorite Island Escape! This was our fifth stay at Vangduen Hotel, and we already can’t wait to come back! It’s the kind of place that never disappoints. In fact, the only sad part is packing up to leave. The location is perfect—tucked away on the quiet side of the island, offering so much peace and natural beauty. The clear, calm water and the soft white sand (honestly, it feels like flour!) make it the perfect spot to relax. Even though it’s peaceful, there’s still plenty to do. There’s a great selection of restaurants, a small shop for anything you might need, and a fun fire show in the evenings. The hotel itself is spotless, well-equipped, and super comfortable. The staff are amazing—so friendly and always happy to help with anything you need. It’s those little things that make each stay so special. We’d recommend this place 100%. In fact, we’ve already booked our next trip in two weeks! Vangduen Hotel really is a gem, and we feel lucky to have found it.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very good, at first we booked for a day, but after checking in we were impressed by the location and extended for a second day, the first day we lived in a bungalow, the second day we lived in a separate salt building, the rooms are clean, the room has everything in individual packages, the split system is in working order, responsive staff, 200 baht tuk-tuk to the center of the island, there is a 7/11 and delicious shrimp, a clean beach, a place where the head rests. Excellent option for your money. Of the small minuses, that breakfast is until 10:00 and by this time everyone has already eaten and check-out is until 11:30.

MMarinaThe hotel is conveniently located, but tuk-tuks do not bring you to it, you have to walk through the courtyards from the bus stop, the first time we thought we would not find it, then we got used to it when you know the way. The location is convenient, on the 1st line, but perpendicular to the sea, so the windows overlook the backyard and the restaurant toilet. Apparently, during the low season, the restaurant staff got used to sitting there, talking, playing with the children, it was difficult to relax during the day, there was constant noise outside the window. Even when we asked them to be quieter, after some time they gathered there again and talked endlessly loudly, watched videos, played games. Then they moved to the area in front of the reception, but they talked so loudly that the noise still interfered with rest. At the same time, you will not find employees in the restaurant when you need to order food or pay, they are all relaxing there for their own pleasure. The hotel has its own sun loungers on the beach, but the restaurant staff tried to kick us out from there on the first day and insisted that we should order something in the restaurant, this spoiled the impression, of course. It is strange that the hotel has a restaurant, but no breakfast, it would be more convenient with breakfast. At 9 am, large groups of Chinese tourists are brought to the restaurant, in principle, as in other neighboring restaurants on the first line. The room is not bad, but old, the bed is comfortable, the TV only has Thai channels. The toilet in the bathroom is leaking, the faucet, apparently the same is on the floor above, because water was dripping from the ceiling and there is mold on the ceiling, and in the toilet itself there is no ventilation and a terrible smell of mold. There is no toilet paper, in front of the entrance to the toilet there is a holder with thin napkins, which is very inconvenient. We lived on the 1st floor, since among us there were people with disabilities, in front of the room there is a table and two chairs, but sitting in front of the restaurant toilet is not at all pleasant. Also, the employees in this place eat their own food and sometimes the smells are very unpleasant. The hotel is for very unpretentious visitors, but the sea is wonderful and two steps from the beach. On the main street there are many restaurants, massages, two 7-11, currency exchange. It's a couple of minutes' drive from the ferry.

TToto LawyerThis trip, we booked two rooms, came with 4 friends. The accommodation did not have a shuttle bus, but we rented a car from the pier for 100 baht. The receptionist was friendly. We stayed on the 3rd floor, the stairs were very steep. Elderly people should avoid it. Fortunately, there were staff to help carry our bags up for us. The view from up was beautiful and made us feel less tired. ⭐The room was in a minimalist style, fully equipped, but the room was quite old. You can see from the cracks in the floor tiles. The curtains had black mold stains. The bathroom ventilation fan had a lot of dust. The pillow was sagging and uncomfortable to sleep on, but the bed was comfortable and usable. The water flow from the sink faucet was very weak, but the shower water flowed moderately. ⭐There is a cafe in the accommodation, but no restaurant. You have to walk along the beach to eat outside, but it is not far. In front of the beach, there are chairs to sit and relax, but after 5 pm, the staff will come to inform us that they will ask to take the chairs because they are getting off work. In my opinion, I think they should have extended the time a bit. The guests were sitting and relaxing, which could have ruined the mood. ⭐The breakfast tasted okay. We could tell the staff when we wanted to eat it, between 8-10 am, but our room had to sit and eat in front of the room. In the morning, the sun was shining, and it was quite hot. ⭐In summary, the accommodation is not expensive, the service is good, the view is beautiful, that's it.
