The family room amenities were severely lacking. I forgot to take a picture of the bathroom, but it was incredibly small – the toilet stall was like something out of an airplane, and the shower was tiny too. The room itself was long and narrow. Instead of two chairs where they could have fit, there were two beanbag chairs. The 1.5-meter bed didn't feel like 1.5 meters, and there were no nightstands; the charging plug had to go on the floor. There was no bar or coffee table; the cups and tea bags were just placed on top of the mini-fridge. Hotel parking isn't free, costing $25, unless you park on the street, but then you have to move your car by 9:30 AM. The bottom bunk of the bunk bed was so low you couldn't sit up without hitting your head. The breakfast, however, was decent. Check-out is before 10 AM, and breakfast ends at 10:30 AM at the latest.

This is a must-stay hotel when you visit Christchurch! The environment is lovely, and the food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious. The service is very attentive. I've stayed here many times already, and the cleanliness is always top-notch. Plus, it's really close to several attractions.

The Novotel Christchurch Airport, a 4.5-star modern hotel under the Accor brand, opened in late 2017 and officially began operations in 2019, quickly becoming a landmark in the airport area. Its convenience is exceptional; it's within walking distance of the airport terminal and right next to the International Antarctic Centre. The city center is about a 15-minute drive away, with smooth public transport connections, making it ideal for layovers and business trips. A 30-minute ride on the #3 bus, costing 6 New Zealand Dollars, will take you to downtown attractions like the Riverside Market commercial center, Christchurch Botanic Gardens, and Christchurch Art Gallery. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including 200 modern rooms equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows, soundproofing, smart TVs, and minibars. It features a scenic restaurant, a fitness center, multi-functional meeting rooms, 24-hour front desk service, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The environment is comfortable and elegant, making it convenient for both travel and accommodation. Guests can also enjoy the convenience of a Woolworths supermarket and various dining options, including the International Antarctic Centre, all less than a 10-minute walk away. A highly recommended hotel.

This is a fantastic hotel. Due to flight issues, I checked in late at night, but the lobby was incredibly warm and comfortable, with a beautiful and pleasant atmosphere. The environment is truly outstanding. It faces a large park, offering lovely views, and the transportation is convenient as it's right in the city center and very close to the airport. The lobby fireplace was cozy, and the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, treating guests like family. The room was very clean and tidy, hygienic, and comfortable. It was spacious, and the bedding was excellent – clean and very comfortable to use. The bathroom was great, and the room overall was very spacious, neat, bright, and grand. Everything felt relatively new. I would definitely stay here again next time. It offers great value for money.

Facilities: The room has a wardrobe, TV, table, chairs, and a luggage rack. Anything else you need can be found in the communal kitchen. The hotel's location is very convenient, with the airport bus route 8 going directly there. Across the street are a garden and a university. However, it's worth noting that the soundproofing is extremely poor; even a small sound from the corridor is clearly audible. If there are children shouting and slamming doors, it gets very noisy. The university bar across the street can also be quite loud on weekends, and early in the morning, around 6 or 7 AM, there are delivery trucks downstairs which are also noisy. In short, if you're sensitive to noise, choose carefully. For those not sensitive to noise, this hotel is highly recommended and offers great value for money! Cleanliness: Satisfied. Although the bathroom is shared between two or three rooms, it is very clean. Service: The dark-haired staff at the front desk were quite warm and friendly, while the light-haired staff were just average.

The room was spacious and well-equipped with amenities like a pot, range hood, and toaster. Booking early definitely saved me some money compared to booking 3-4 days before. The hotel's location is excellent, and the surroundings are beautiful (P2, P3). It's right in the heart of Christchurch, a 5-minute walk from the Avon River, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Botanic Gardens entrance. I also walked to the city bus interchange. To get to the airport, you can take bus routes 8 or 29, which are also about an 8-minute walk away. The front desk staff seemed to be Indian, and communication in English was smooth. I had a booking through Ctrip that suggested I change room types to get the lowest total price for two consecutive nights, which might have required me to switch rooms the next morning. I spoke with the front desk, and she patiently helped me stay in the higher-priced room for both nights (without switching rooms); I just needed to reactivate my key card the following morning. After 10:30 PM, the hotel's front desk is unstaffed. If you check in too late, they will leave your room key in a coded box outside the main entrance and email you the code. The only minor issue is that one of Christchurch's ******* is located next to the hotel (P1), about a 5-minute walk away. However, the security at night is actually fine (P4) – it's livelier than Auckland at night. I wandered around until 8:30 PM and didn't see anyone drunk on my way back to the hotel.

The common room is equipped with a kitchen, microwave, oven, and refrigerator, which is great for long-term stays. The room itself is small but functional, perfectly fine if you just need a place to sleep and don't have any special requirements. Be aware of the downstairs bar's operating hours, as the music will play until they close. It gets much quieter after closing. Also, please remember that check-out is always at 10:00 AM. We had seen 12:00 PM listed on the Trip system when we booked and were informed by housekeeping that the time on Trip was incorrect. After clarifying, we weren't charged any extra fees.

The beds in the twin room were spacious enough; one bed would suffice for a family of three or even four. The room itself was quite large, featuring a corner sofa area that was perfect for organizing luggage and other belongings. The hotel's location was a bit tricky to find, as the name and logo weren't very prominent, leading us to drive around in circles a few times. If you're driving, I'd recommend doing some research beforehand to familiarize yourself with the surroundings. The restaurant downstairs at the hotel served excellent food. If you're planning to go for brunch on the weekend, I suggest making a reservation in advance. In the evening, the handcrafted cocktails were top-notch.

The hotel is conveniently located directly across from the Art Center, and very close to the Sky House and Botanical Gardens. Our room was on the second floor, but there's no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up ourselves. The room itself has a very spacious terrace, more than enough room for two suitcases. The kitchen facilities are also well-equipped and easy to use. The bus stop is about 100m walk from the hotel. The number 8 bus goes to the airport, costs 4 dollars each, and you can pay with cash.

The location is incredibly convenient—just 5 to 6 minutes from the Bus Interchange, New Regent Street, and Riverside Market, and only 2 minutes from the main shopping district. The room is spacious and clean, with a wonderful view from the hotel window.
