Guest UserThe front desk staff were quite incompetent. Check-in took forever, and then my friend's room key didn't work. Another friend found a welcome card for someone else on their table upon entering their room. My room was a corner room, which they didn't even ask about, but they were very pushy about getting us to upgrade. We upgraded, and the service was still terrible. Then, at check-out, we thought it would be quick, but a young woman struggled for ages before calling over her colleague. We thought there might be an extra charge, but then she somehow pulled out someone else's room cards, claiming they didn't match ours. Couldn't she just ask us what our room number was? We gave her two room cards, and she somehow ended up with three! We were in a hurry to catch a flight and told them so, but she still fumbled around for ages. Plus, the kettle in the room was broken, and when we asked for a replacement, that one was also broken... It was an ordeal all afternoon; we couldn't even take an afternoon nap. I can only say the hotel is all show and no substance; the interior is rotten. Also, it seems like they sprayed a lot of disinfectant in the room when cleaning, and the windows don't open for ventilation...

TsinEX1997The room is incredibly spacious, even larger than suites in many high-end or luxury hotels. The service is excellent, and the breakfast pastries are top-notch. This is an absolute gem of a hotel, highly recommended! 👍

Guest UserGreat location, very close to where you can take Danube river cruises, and there's a Christmas market nearby, which creates a festive atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the room is spacious. The only downside is that the price was a bit high when booked for New Year's Eve.

This is hands down the best hotel I've stayed at in Budapest! The hotel is located right in the city center, within walking distance to all the major attractions and trendy spots. Plus, there are supermarkets and plenty of food and drink options nearby. All the drinks in the mini-bar fridge are complimentary, and we even received L'Occitane skincare samples upon check-in. We visited during Chinese New Year, and for a holiday period, paying just over 500 per night was an absolute steal! The room decor is exquisite and elegant, and being a new hotel that opened in 2025, everything felt fresh. The soundproofing was excellent, and the skylight could be opened, which was great for preventing stuffiness. On our first day, we had a slight issue with the bathroom drain, but after reporting it to the front desk, they quickly moved us to a new room. Their problem-solving was super efficient. I'll definitely be recommending Wonder Hotel to all my friends visiting Budapest in the future!

We booked 4D3N for our vacation in Matlid Budapest. We arrived very late at the hotel but the arrival experience is superb.
We book Matlid King room at room 105 , the room is very spacious and very advance IOT use in the room eg: electric curtain, lighting & air conditioners.
The bathroom is very beautifully decorated with blue & gold tiles with big bathtub enough for 2 persons to soak together. Bathroom Experience: 10/10
They provide very comfortable bed, mattress, pillows and blanket. We had excellent 3 nights rest
The hotel serve most delicious breakfast with lots of various options to choose from, I can say one of the best Breakfast for our this Europe trip. The staffs are very attentive and well-trained.

A must try dinner at Wolfgang Puck if you stay here, the chefs are super talented to create delicious art dinner. I enjoyed their Door to door cocktail as well.

The hotel provides water dispensers with fresh drinking water available daily, which is very convenient and contributes positively to overall comfort. In addition, fresh juices are offered, providing a pleasant and refreshing option throughout the day. It is also worth highlighting that there is a selection of desserts available without added sugar, which is a thoughtful and health-conscious offering. Furthermore, the bus stop is very easily accessible on foot and offers quick and convenient connections to the city center, making it simple to explore the area without the need for a car.

The idea of staying in a castle monastery is appealing, especially if you prefer a quieter side of Budapest. The room was pleasant, but not overly luxurious. The breakfast was simple, and the music was too loud when I woke up.
The location wasn’t convenient for me, and the monastery experience didn’t live up to my expectations. I stayed on the other side of Pest and had a much better time.

Anonymous UserThe hotel staff were incredibly friendly and professional, from the moment we arrived at the hotel entrance, through check-in, and all the way to check-out and luggage handling. Every service was polite and attentive. The hotel breakfast was quite rich, with à la carte options, and the fruit was delicious. The room size was quite large for European standards, and housekeeping was prompt and thorough. The only minor drawback was that the shower facilities in the room were a bit old-fashioned and the drainage wasn't great.

Anonymous UserCheck-in time was flexible; we arrived early and were immediately given a room to rest, which was a huge plus for those arriving on early flights. Our standard room was on the 5th floor, a typical hotel room setup with good natural light and plenty of sunshine. The mattress was incredibly comfortable. In contrast, the bathroom had a much more distinctive design. A highlight was the small spa pool on the basement level, which had a unique vibe, wasn't crowded, and was very relaxing. It's complimentary for guests. While the hotel breakfast didn't have a huge selection, everything was relatively tasty, especially the Hungarian baked eggs, which were exactly to my liking. The staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended! PS: There was a wedding party on the day we checked in, and the music was quite loud at night, but fortunately, we couldn't hear it much from the 5th floor.

Guest UserUnfortunately, it's located next to a construction site, so there was disruptive noise in the mornings. The gym was under renovation and unusable, and unfortunately, we only received this information at check-in! Breakfast was okay, but with very limited selection. Positives: Coffee machines in the lobby and in the room.
