The hotel is gorgeous!! Breakfast spread was alright; nothing too special but the architecture of the space was very lovely. The live classical music was an added bonus.
We had issues with the shower and after two attempts to fix it, we were moved to another room. We appreciated the gesture.
The weather was extremely hot and it was very unpleasant to be out but we were able to walk down to the port in 20 mins, so the location was great.
We tried to get in a spa treatment but it was fully booked, we should've pre-booked before arriving!
All in all, a lovely few days.

My first trip to Europe will be a really good memory! It starts with the hotel. The clean interior and exterior, various facilities, the location close to the airport bus stop and the city center, etc. If I visit Hungary again, I will definitely come back.

Very convenient location - the center! Just a few minutes to the tram and the same to the metro. The room is cozy, there is everything you need. Dishes, kettle, microwave, coffee maker, toaster. The staff is very polite, they explain everything you need, ask several times if everything is okay, if you liked everything. The reception is on the 2nd floor and works only from 10 to 19. A very convenient option is that after checking out you can leave your things at the reception until 18:00. Please note that there is no shampoo and shower gel. The furniture is no longer new. We also booked a room with breakfast, but this is not a full breakfast buffet that is written about in the description. This is a basket with juice, waffles, bread, butter, jams, 3in1 coffee, tea and honey. If you want a full breakfast (buffet), then you need to pay 12 lei per person.

The medical centre offers complex, personalised treatments lasting from a few days to several weeks for people suffering from joint, back, lumbar and neck pain, stress-related conditions and weight problems. The therapies are combined with the beneficial effects of thermal water from Margaret Island and medicinal mud from Hévíz.
In the Platán restaurant with its terrace, you can enjoy gourmet and light cuisine together with magnificent views of the park. The Boróka Bar with a terrace and the Neptun bar at the swimming pool are inviting places to relax.
All rooms are air-conditioned and have a balcony. A work desk, satellite TV and bathrobes are also provided as well as kettle for coffee/tea.

The environment is very good, the breakfast is also rich, there are all kinds of cheese, and the hot spring vacation is very suitable. It's a pity that I didn't have time to enjoy it in the hotel. The transportation is relatively convenient

In addition to hotels, you can also try apartments when you come to Europe to deeply experience the lives of locals. This smart apart is near Heroes Square, and the location is quite good. There are also Chinese restaurants and supermarkets nearby. If you want to cook by yourself, there are pots and induction cookers, and tableware and knives and forks are all complete! I booked a two-bedroom suite, each room has an independent bathroom, which can accommodate a family of four! The balcony is also spacious enough with a good view! The overall design of the apartment is simple and stylish, but the curtain design is a bit unsatisfactory. The pull-down control is a bit misplaced, and the balcony can't be pulled out after it is pulled down, which is a bit troublesome!

A highly recommended apartment hotel with a 24-hour front desk and good service. We didn't speak the same language, but they patiently used a translator to answer our questions. The room was clean and spacious, quite new. The bed was comfortable and the facilities were good. There was a locker for storing suitcases on the negative 1 floor, free of charge, and my 26-inch suitcase could fit in. The transportation was very convenient, and the airport 100E was only 1 minute away from the door. Highly recommended.

It's very clean and new. This is one of the best hotels I've encountered in Europe in the past few years. The facilities are all kinds of small things including bathrobes and slippers. Most hotels in Europe will not have this. The highlight is that the breakfast is very rich 👍 The location is super city center. It is also convenient to go to the Danube River. It is a few minutes walk from the Congress. There is a row of restaurants at the door. The layout is very modern. The guy at the front desk was super nice.

Check in was smooth and friendly. Room 310 was fine on appearance. But later we discovered a problem with the air conditioning reverting back to a temperature of 26. We contacted the front desk staff who came to the room. He said it appeared to be working properly so there was nothing to be done. Shower didn’t have an enclosed door, so parts of the bathroom were flooded.
Breakfast had a variety of options. We particularly liked the fresh juice station. There was also a nice backyard-like part of the restaurant that was peaceful to have breakfast in.
We had a repairman look at the air conditioning, but he claimed the problem was that we didn’t know how to work the key holder electricity slot, like this was rocket science technology never-before-seen in an hotel. A chance encounter with the hotel manager eventually led to us changing rooms. Room 112 was much better, smelled fresh and air conditioning worked properly. We paid almost 1500 rmb a night (and no complimentary water in the room) because of Coldplay concerts so value wasn’t great for what we received. Wouldn’t stay again despite liking the local neighborhood vibe to the hotel.

AAnonymous UserCarlton Hotel Buda Castle - A Location Lover's Dream!
My recent stay at the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle in Budapest was largely defined by its absolutely awesome location. For anyone looking to immerse themselves in the historical heart of the city, this hotel is a fantastic choice.
Being just minutes away from both the majestic Buda Castle and the picturesque Fisherman’s Bastion was a huge plus. I particularly appreciated the convenience for early risers – those who wish to view the stunning sunrise and enjoy the area before the crowds arrive (potentially with free entrance before official opening hours) will find this hotel incredibly convenient, as it's just a short stroll away.
Furthermore, the hotel's location also allows for a pleasant walk to the viewing area across the river from the Parliament building. Seeing the illuminated Parliament at night from the opposite bank was a memorable experience, and it was easily accessible on foot from the hotel.
The room itself was cozy and comfortable, providing a welcome retreat after a day of exploring. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.
However, there was one notable downside: the soundproofing could be improved. I occasionally heard noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which sometimes disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere.
Overall:
Despite the minor issue with soundproofing, I would still highly recommend the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle, especially for travelers who prioritize location above all else. Its proximity to key attractions like Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion, along with the easy access to sunrise views and the Parliament panorama, makes it a truly convenient base for exploring the best of Buda. If you're a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea, but the unbeatable location truly makes this hotel a strong contender for your Budapest stay.
GGuest UserWe’ve had such an amazing time at Budapest and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Up hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful! We even got a lovely surprise for our wedding anniversary and my husbands birthday. Rooms very very clean, came with everything you needed. The breakfast was lovely! And the location of the hotel was perfect! Had such a nice little market outside and park for our little ones. If we ever return this certainly would be our number one choice. Thankyou so much

GGuest UserThe hotel was very modern and clean. My husband and I were both impressed with the decor. We were confused by the listing on trip compared to the actual hotel so the images may need updating; we were expecting a bath in the room however there was only a shower.
We were still happy and felt well looked after. I would recommend the hotel.
GGemaThe hotel location is good and everything is ok. But the second day when I went out, I put ”Please Clean my room” but I nurtured to Hotel my room around 14:40 but room had not clean yet, then around 15:10 suddenly the room door were open by someone and should be for clean room, but it should be knock the door and make sure if the guest were at room our outside! That is the one point what I do care and even after I checked the door lock, it is almost broken.
Also for the room mark cup, it is really old and should be change.
Best Regards
Gema
RRafael OsorioI recently stayed at Avenue Hostel during my trip to Budapest, and overall, I had a positive experience. The hostel is Situated in the heart of Budapest, close to public transportation and major attractions. The rooms and common areas were well-maintained and tidy. The common room and bar area were great for meeting fellow travelers. Reliable internet connection throughout the hostel.
Overall, Avenue Hostel offers good value for money and a comfortable stay in Budapest. It's ideal for budget-conscious travelers and those looking to socialize with other guests.
GGuest UserThe location is not bad. It is close to the subway. The bathroom is just so-so. The room is cleaned by a Ukrainian woman. It is also good. It is equivalent to the domestic seven-day standard. A little bit worse
DDavidExcellent choice in Budapest. Very convenient and well located. Clean and cozy. The apartment was very well equipped.
The check in and out process was difficult because the instructions were contradictory, some instructions indicated the use of app and virtual key and other through real key and case. The check out is too early. 10:00h. 12:00h is the usual time for checkout.
GGuest UserNice pool, very clean and not a lot of people. Breakfast is expensive so I didn't take it.
Beds are great, big and firm but not hard.
Well located just at the entrance of metro line 2 that goes pretty much everywhere nice.
AAbbeyLocated centrally within a short walk to a number of good bars, restaurants and cafes however it can get noisy until the early hours of the morning. The apartment was compact but big enough for 2 people however the bed was a very small queen. There was only 1 coffee capsule for 2 people staying and although there were lots of electrical sockets, they were all for European plugs and not one had a USB connection which would be far more useful for most travellers. The bathroom mirror was laughable - I’m 5ft 2” and could just see the top of my head in it!
Instructions to gain entry were emailed on check-in day, which also included downloading an app. This would’ve been useful to know prior to travelling.
