Novotel Budapest City

This was my second time booking and staying here because the price is reasonable. It's about a 15-minute drive to popular tourist spots, so getting around wasn't a big inconvenience. I'll probably use this place again next time.

This is a really good hotel. I arrived in Budapest from the Czech Republic and took a bus to get here. The reception staff were incredibly friendly. When I asked about the Budapest public transport app, they gave me a thorough explanation. They were so kind. The room was clean and comfortable. I was so impressed that my room had a separate toilet and bathroom! There was even a bathtub, so I could finally enjoy a good soak. The hotel's location was convenient for getting anywhere by bus or tram. I could also easily get to that hill with the amazing night view (I forgot its name) by bus. The night view of Budapest truly blew me away. Breakfast was delicious. There was a wide selection of ham and cheese. They even had miso soup, and I thought it was better than what you'd find in a Japanese hotel! Going early meant it wasn't crowded, which was nice. The price was affordable, and I'm really glad I stayed here. I will definitely stay again next time!!!

The hotel is cozy and the breakfasts are quite substantial. Everything was good for the price.

The hotel was quite clean. There was a shopping mall next to it with a good bakery and a supermarket (SPAR), so we could do our shopping comfortably. It was close to public transport, but we took a taxi to get to the city center because it was affordable. To be honest, it was far from tourist attractions. If we had walked to the attractions, walking there would have been a problem, so we took a taxi, spent the whole day exploring everywhere by taxi, and returned by taxi. Since we only booked accommodation, I don't know how the food was. But we left satisfied with our stay.

The hotel is pretty good, just a bit small, and the public facilities are decent too, though the pool is a little on the small side.

We spent three nights at this hotel with our two children (8 and 11 years old) and were completely satisfied all around. We really liked the hotel, both the rooms and the overall atmosphere. The child-friendliness is particularly noteworthy. There are dedicated play areas for children in both the lobby and the restaurant. In the lobby, there's something for every age. The highlight for our children was the Xbox, which kept them perfectly entertained. The breakfast was excellent and left nothing to be desired. There was a large selection of dishes, so there was truly something for everyone. We were particularly impressed by the beverage station: various tea and coffee specialties, fresh tea to brew yourself, and a juicer with which you could prepare fresh juice. Another plus point is the small pool. While you shouldn't expect a large spa area, it was perfect for cooling down for an hour or two, especially with the hot temperatures. Furthermore, the pool was never overcrowded, so we could enjoy it in a pleasant and quiet atmosphere. The hotel also has a modern fitness room. Although we didn't use it, it made a very well-maintained, new, and well-equipped impression. For guests who want to train even on vacation, this is certainly another plus. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can unreservedly recommend the hotel, especially to families with children. We would stay here again anytime. I would also like to add that all the staff were very helpful and friendly, both at the reception and in the restaurant. It is a large but nevertheless a very quiet hotel. You could sleep very peacefully at night.

The location is in the Buda area, and it was very convenient with many tram and bus options. There's also a SPAR nearby, making it easy to buy fruits and wine. The sauna and swimming pool were decent, and breakfast was acceptable.
