Eight hundred years of romance | Beihai Park City Walk

| Beihai Park City Walk. The red walls and green tiles exude majesty, reverence, and a sense of distance, with every step taken being startling. Only under the big trees of Beihai Park can one's soul find a bit of solace, observing serenity through the window screen, and the colorful dragons on the Nine Dragon Wall seem surprisingly cute. The Extreme Joy World Hall, located northwest of Taiye Pool and west of the Five Dragon Pavilion, is a set of 'altar city' style architecture. It was first built in the 33rd year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1768) during the Qing Dynasty, for the Empress Dowager's birthday celebration and blessing, commonly known as 'Little Western Heaven'. Inside, the Ten Thousand Buddhas Tower features fresh and elegant colored sculptures, with a group of green Buddha statues that are quite unique.
