Experiences in Nordhorn

Surrounded by the Nordhorn Heath, Nordhorn is located in the immediate vicinity of the Dutch border. The center of attraction for tourists is the zoo. Here you can experience meerkats and even wolves up close. The zoo is especially beautiful in winter, when the grounds are decorated for Christmas. Another popular destination is the Frenswegen Monastery, which is best reached by bike. The whole area is bike-friendly and numerous bike paths lead through fascinating moors and heaths all the way to the Netherlands. Several times a year a market is held in the monastery.
