Spectacular scenery and totally worth the day trip there. Try the chairlift instead of the monorail. Next time, we’ll plan a night stay to enjoy the peaceful environment and onsen. There are other attractions within walking distance at the foot of the mountain. Totally no crowd….This is an underrated place to visit in Japan! It is better if you drive as the journey by train from Kyoto is 2hrs.
