Roman Forum, ancient government centre
#visitrome
It is impressive to see the structure that still has their fragments and shapes available after more than 2000 years has passed. It is the ruins of where government buildings once built around 8th century BC before they were abandoned during the Dark Ages. It also houses several temples of worship such as the Temple of Vesta. The structure of the Arch which serves as the replica for many countries, called the Arch of Titus, is still standing upright in the Forum. The surviving structures are a few such as Temple of Saturn, Temple of Vespasian, Forum Main Square, Bascilica Aemelia etc. Major excavation works are still in progress to unearth more relics and structures underground.

Travel back to 2000 years ago
Roman Forum is a vast excavated area which you will surely encounter on your way to the Colosseum. This is the site of the temples, squares and government back in those Roman times, dating back to more than 2000 years. It was the centre of the day-to-day life of Romans.
You can certainly peek from outside while walking past. However, if you wish to visit, then it is advisable to purchase tickets online and note that there are 2 entrances. To best enjoy the visit, I would highly recommend you to first watch videos about the Roman life or to do some graphic reading. It would then enhance your imagination during your visit and enable you to picture how did they live back in those days.

CITY CENTRE OF ANCIENT ROME
Roman Forum, also known as Forum Romanum in Latin, was the most significant forum in ancient Rome. It was located on a flat area between the Capitoline and Palatine hills. In republican times, gladiatorial battles, law courts, and public gatherings all took place in the Roman Forum, which was also lined with stores and outdoor markets. Many of the city's most impressive temples and monuments were located there throughout the empire, when it primarily served as a hub for religious and secular performances and rituals.
The Cloaca Maxima, the Mamertine Prison, the Temple of Saturn, the Temple of Vesta, the Temple of Romulus, the Temple of Castor and Pollux, and the Temple of the Deified Caesar are just a few of the buildings that have survived in whole or in part.

Ancient Roman cities are full of historic monuments, but if you want to visit and explore the earliest forms of ancient Roman cities, you should visit Palatine Hill and Capitoline Hill. This was the downtown of ancient Roman times, with some of the oldest and most important buildings in Rome.
Here is the oldest arch in Rome, the triumphal arch of Titus the Great, built by Domitian in 81 A.D. in memory of his brother Titus and his father Vespasian, who first quelled the revolt in Judea. Temple of Antoninus Pius and Faustina: This temple was built by Antoninus Pius in 41 A.D. and dedicated to his deceased, deified wife, Faustina. It is also the best-preserved temple. The Senate: The 3rd century Senate still has its original multi-colored mosaic floor, 300 senators sat on the steps of the Senate and is the Speaker's platform.
Holy Road: The oldest road in Rome is paved with flat black basalt, winding through the ancient Roman markets through the Triumphal Gate of Titus to Capitoline Hill. The heroes of the Roman Republic marched here when they triumphantly returned, but gradually it declined and became a gathering place for pickpockets and vagrants.
Maxentius and Constantine Great Hall: There are 3 large mosaic arch structures, allegedly the largest building in ancient Rome, built in about 315, this was the legal and financial center of the Roman Empire.

Whether you're marveling at the grandeur of the Temple of Saturn or contemplating the ruins of the Basilica Julia, every corner of the Roman Forum offers a glimpse into the fascinating past of ancient Rome.
Visiting one of seven wonders of the world
Visiting Colosseo is definitely a must when traveling to Rome. To avoid queue, be sure to book your ticket a week before your visit. I was going to buy the ticket on the spot, but it’s a long queue on site and the tickets are almost sold out. I’ve tried to buy the ticket the night before our visit but I couldn’t get a ticket. So I went on the second day at 8.30am to buy the tickets, ID is required when you purchase the ticket. Student promo price is only valid for Europe citizen. The normal ticket is €16 which give you one time entrance to the colosseum, palatine hill and Roman Forum.
My advice, avoid visiting in summer cuz it’s gonna be super hot!

✨Rome is a city in Italy that cannot be missed
Rome is the capital and largest city of the Italian Republic, a world-renowned historical and cultural city, the birthplace of the ancient Roman Empire, and is known as the "Eternal City" because of its long history of city-building 🏰
Enjoy a leisurely time in the Eternal City on a Roman holiday
Beats even the best movie set or theme park
The Roman Forum, located minutes away from the Colosseum is a collection of old ruins from antiquity.
While many consider the forum a side attraction to the Colosseum, the Forum has its own unique charm in that it reflects centuries of Roman Plebian history.
Furthermore, you can get very close to many of the structures and be immersed in the Forum for hours exploring every building and pillar, and still feel you haven't seen enough 🏛.

Walk into the Ancient Rome
The Roman Forum, located in ancient Rome, served as the city's political, social, and commercial hub from the 7th century BCE to the 4th century CE. It started as a marketplace and evolved into a grand complex of temples, basilicas, and government buildings. It witnessed political speeches, triumphal processions, and public gatherings. The Forum's importance declined with the fall of the Roman Empire, and it gradually fell into ruins. Today, it stands as a remarkable archaeological site in modern-day Rome.
Once a thriving heart of grandeur and might,
Now in ruins, standing against the test of time.
Yet, as guests arrive, I come alive in their sight,
Welcoming souls from distant lands to climb.
Whispering tales of power and ancient grace,
I invite you to wander through my storied past.
Marvel at the remnants of a once bustling place,
Where history's echoes forever will last.

Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) A few highlights of the Roman Forum:
1. Arch of Titus: This is the oldest arch building in Rome, built by Domitian in AD 81. In commemoration of his brother Titus and his father Vespa first settled the Jewish rebellion. (ie, the destruction of the temple in the Bible)
2. Anthony's shelter and the Temple of Fortuna: This was built by Anthony Shelter in 41 AD for his wife, Fostina, who was worshipped as God. It is also the best temple to save. Because of the baroque tops on the top, there is an uncoordinated visual impact on the temple.
3. The Senate: This 3rd-century Senate still retains the original multi-colored mosaic floor, 300-year-old and sits on the steps of the state affairs and the podium of the speaker.
4. Sacred Way: The oldest road in Rome is paved with flat black basalt, and the Arc de Triomphe of Titus is passing through the ancient Roman market to Mount Capitoli. The heroes of the Roman Republic were marching here when they returned to the triumph, but they gradually fell and became the gathering place for pickpockets and tramps.
5.Maxentis and the Emperor's Hall of Constantine: There are three large arched arches, which are said to be the largest in ancient Rome. They were built in 315 and are the Roman Empire. Legal and financial center.
On the right side of the Colosseum is the Arch of Constantine, which bypasses the Arc de Triomphe to the back, the road to the Palatino Hill, next to the ruins of the Roman Forum. At first glance, the white building in Piazza Venezia is not far ahead. Most of the temples now have only the remaining Greek columns. Although the distance is very close, it takes a while for each attraction to take a tour. For those who want to visit carefully, it is best to rent an interpreter or follow a guided tour. Overlooking the surrounding Colosseum, Piazza Venezia and ancient Roman ruins, the view is good.
Rome, an ancient name, is known as the "city of the city" because of its glorious history, the glory of the Roman Empire, and the supremacy of the Catholic Church constitute the glory of Rome for nearly 2,500 years.
Rome is one of the birthplaces of world culture. It has deposited thousands of years of historical sites and has a rich cultural heritage. It was built on seven hills between the Taipo River and was revived after several destructions. The ancient Roman ruins are large in scale, and they are imaginative and lingering.
The ancient city of Rome is like a giant open-air historical museum. Every step is stepped on countless historical stories. On the ruins of the ancient capital of Rome, the world famous temples such as the Imperial Senate, the Arc de Triomphe, the Jigongzhu, the Pantheon and the Grand Arena are standing. Historic sites; there are many fine architecture and fine art from the Renaissance.
The empire that Rome developed from a small city state to a world of glory has too much history and history. Its height and complexity are not something I can describe.
But everyone has a Roman in my heart, in my heart:
She is Princess Anne just cut her hair, and is happy to eat the ladder of ice cream;
she is a beautiful female writer Franco Sith, the narrow street of the Italian man Marcelo;
she is the local restaurant that used Elizabeth to soothe the soul after she lost her marriage;
she is Yu Gongying and the minister has gone through the honeymoon and finally swore forever A small church together.
This one-to-one, the smoke and smoke scattered in the streets of Rome, with the romance and style of Southern Europe into my imagination.
In the hearts of other people, what is Rome like?
He was the father standing on the wall of Xi'an, looking at the end of the Silk Road;
He was the city of Dante's story of the Divine Comedy;
He was the Spartan Warrior on the battlefield Shouting;
He is the product of all the prosperity and charm of the Renaissance.
Those fascinating, fascinating history, hidden in the journey of the youth from the youth, the fascination with Rome. Everyone has a Roman in their own heart.
