The ocean view was so nice
The room is not big, but the view is really overwhelmingly good
The facilities were also clean
However, they separated the table and bed with a wooden bar guard in the middle
That blocks the view from the table. That's a bit disappointing, but
The location is right in front of Yeongildae, so it's good.
World's Friendliest hotel!
We were on the 2nd floor and due to room remodeling on the 3rd floor, which was right above our room, they thought it might be too noisy and that maybe some particles could drop onto our floor so, they upgraded our room and moved all personal belongings
with care like it was their own and the upgraded room was an excellent. We couldn't ask for more.
We will definitely stay here again.
I had a fun trip to Gyeongju with my kids while staying at the Kolon Hotel for 3 days and 2 nights.
The children had a great time experiencing Gyeongju, where history is alive. We had an ondol room since the children were young, and it was nice because it was warm.
In the evening, it was nice to watch the sunset while drinking unlimited beer at Moonlight Pocha. The atmosphere and taste are good, so I think it would be a good idea to stop by.
My husband said the golf course here was pretty so he went to play golf in the morning.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable trip.
Ramada
We got a free room upgrate from trip.com. It was really nice to have a big room. Everything was great. Clean and convenient facilities. Friendly staff. Nothing to complain about.
It's a residence hotel. It's not bad. The air conditioner is right above the bed, so it's not bad except it's hard to control. There is nothing around, so it seems difficult to get accommodation except here.
I had a great time. The view was very pretty, and the living room and bedroom were clean and comfortable because they were wooden floors. The distance was close to most tourist attractions, and it was nice to walk around the lake. I think it would have been better if it had been a season other than winter. The only regret was that even though I went at 8 AM, the line was too long, and there were people who secretly stood in front of me. I wish they had expanded the restaurant or managed it a bit better. Other than that, I was satisfied with everything.
We spent the night there as we were headed to pohang the next day. The place was clean with a lot of amenities. The bed was big and comfy. The staff was nice, they helped us to call a cab.
Amazing place to stay in the middle of every thing. Easy to walk to food, coffee and right across from the beach. The space walk is less than 2 kms away (about a 5 min drive). The hotel offers free water/americanos (all the time) and free toast in the mornings, which is so nice. Room was quite spacious and very clean. Staff were amazing with our language barrier and always friendly. Would stay again
I slept well, it was clean and quiet. The air conditioning worked well. The cleaning products were good. There was water and coffee in the fridge. I didn't use the TV, but it was very big.

AAnonymous UserIts a pity that the upper floor rooms got occupied so we were assigned to lower floor and the room was facing n pretty close to a construction next to the hotel and so we were worrying abt the dust and noise and a bit disappointed with the ‘seaview’ outside the terrace… luckily the front desk lady offered us another room on the same floor facing the carpark instead so the sea is really just one car away and it feels so much better :] she even offer us to check the rooftop family that comes with jacuzzi but we didnt bring out swimsuits so its out of our consideration.
The room is huge and the view is superb, except 1. it d be better if theres a door/curtain for the toilet/bathroom area for privacy and also noise isolation; 2. The fridge and rubbish bin are a bit too small for a family-sized guests; 3. Lacking racks/hooks to hang clothes and towels when u shower, a bit inconvenient…
However everything else is awesome, they hv clothing disinfectant machine provided in the room, a giant size tv which is good for family, amenity kits come with most of the things u need including facial cleanser/toner/moisturiser. Theres a coffee machine and ice making machine at the lobby so u can het ur everyday coffee free. Also the public terrace on 10/f is super nice n chill with the sea view, its both nice both day n night, highly recommend!
There are tons of restaurants mostly grilled meat/seafood dishes in the neighbourhood as its right next to the famous beach where ppl comes here for the yeonglidae pavillion, which looks nice at night! Space walk is also nearby. The locals all do their morning exercise walk by strolling along the seashore bare feet! Theres a shoe rack storage and feet washing facilities provided so u can come enjoy bare-foot walking in empty hands and leave clean and dry!
Its a nice stay and i would recommend to others!
GGuest UserThe hotel is really as its name suggests, very mini. There is an elevator designed to carry large suitcases, which is very interesting.
But in terms of price and convenience, the price/performance ratio is very high. The hotel receptionist said that breakfast includes bread, eggs, and coffee drinks. But no eggs were seen for two days. The taste of the coffee is also very basic. If you don't expect too much, this hotel is still very good.
HHelene HGHThe room is modern and pretty well equipped but I'm not too sure about cleanliness because there was still hair in the shower drain on the floor, I had a spider in the bathtube and there wasn't any toilet paper at all in the room... The problem is that it's an unnamed establishment which means you enter with a code but if there is an issue with the room you have nobody to talk to! The decoration of the room is a little bit ”too much/kitsch” but all in all ok. The TV is big but no Netflix and it didn't seem possible to mirror my phone on it.
The hotel is a bit of the main area of the town so there's not many people around. And the arrival is a bit weird as you need to park in a specific enclosed spot just for your room number and there you had a staircase that goes to your room. It's a bit confusing when you arrive there and again, nobody to really help. Not a good place to stay if you have a disability or very heavy luggage as the only access to the room is through that pretty steep and narrow staircase.
No common room or place with a microwave so you need to eat out.
DDANDANGyeongju is hot, but it is really beautiful. The hotel is a private holiday house located in the village with a beautiful environment. It is recommended to take a taxi. The address is shown in the figure. You can show the last address written by the driver's master, otherwise it may not be easy to find. Arrived 1 hour early and failed to check in early, so I went out to play directly. The luggage was already in the room at night. The room was large and comfortable. There is still some distance from the entrance of the village to the holiday house, and it is an uphill road. There are many small restaurants at the entrance of the village. 711 can recharge the T-Money card. 700 bus can go to Bulguk Temple, Donggong Yuechi, etc. very convenient. It is also convenient to take a taxi at the entrance of the village. It takes about half an hour to take a taxi to the Shin Gyeongju High Speed Rail Station.
GGOKBERKIt was such a great hotel experience as demanded from a Hilton hotel. Everything is settled perfectly they thought every need in the room. The stuff was polite and helpful. I would love to visit again.
MMinStaying this place was an unforgettable and truly special experience!
I booked this place for my friend visiting from the U.S. so she could experience Korean traditional culture—and it turned out to be even better than expected. The location was perfect, the room was clean and cozy, and the host was incredibly kind and welcoming :)
One especially sweet gesture—we were offered sikhye, a traditional Korean rice drink, by the host, and it was so delicious!
After booking, I recommend contacting the host in advance to let them know your estimated arrival time—it really helps with the check-in process. For international visitors, communication might be a little tricky, so having someone help with messages can be helpful.
If you’re planning a trip to Korea, I highly recommend staying in this beautiful hanok village in Gyeongju to experience a truly authentic and warm piece of Korean culture! ❤️
DDaniel069Very nice people. Room was ready early, it was clean, well equipped and the area was super close to the temple complex. Walking distance. Food options also nearby. However there is no lift, so request low room if you have heavy bags, very short walk to temple area where you can take some great photos
GGuest UserThe location is really close to the express bus terminal so you can walk there in a few minutes. You can also go walking to the main historic parks and museums. There are good restaurants and convenience stores close by. The owner was very friendly and the temperature at the room was perfect during the winter. I would like to come back to this hotel if I go back to Gyeongju. 감사합니다~
AAngelineOverall this is a nice place to stay for 1 night. Location is just outside the main visitor area which is good for us because we don’t mind the walk as exercise to walk off the food we eat. Owners are great! Very friendly and surprise each guest with simple breakfast to start of the day even though we didn’t asked for breakfast to be included. Only small inconvenience is our room didn’t come with on-suite bathroom and we have to use our bathroom at the yard which is what Koreans used to do in olden times when bathrooms are outside of the main house. It’s quite an interesting experience for me to wake up in the middle of the night to go to the yard in pitch black darkness looking for slippers to wear and running to the bathroom 😜
