The service from both the shuttle bus driver and the front desk staff was excellent. They answered all my questions in detail, and when I forgot something at the front desk, a staff member chased after me to get it. The room was spacious, with both Japanese and Western-style rooms and a Jacuzzi, which I was very satisfied with. The breakfast and dinner buffets were of average quality.

This is a fantastic hot spring hotel, offering a one-night stay with two meals, making it a great value. Breakfast and dinner are both buffets, and the buffet spread is excellent, especially the seasoned steaks, freshly squeezed orange juice (made on the spot), and pre-made banana milkshakes. In the evening, there's a Japanese folk song and dance performance, as well as adorable Kusatsu souvenirs—very kawaii. It was a truly memorable, enjoyable, and satisfying trip. The room also has its own onsen, which maintains a constant 38°C temperature and automatically refills when the water level drops. The room is stocked with high-end Kose shampoo and hair products, a high-end hair dryer, facial toiletries, lotion, hair products, and several kimono accessories. Booking a room with an indoor bath also offers executive lounge access from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and access to the newly opened VIP onsen in the annex, essentially renting the entire place out. It's very nice.

The hotel is a bit of a drive from Karuizawa JR Station, about 35 minutes, and there's a toll fee. However, the scenery along the way is beautiful. Shiraito Falls is about 10 minutes away. The hotel parking lot is ample and very convenient. The hotel rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The hot springs are both indoor and outdoor, with an orange-brown color and a mild odor. Unfortunately, the outdoor hot springs don't allow for a view of the sky. The breakfast and dinner buffets offer a wide variety of options and are delicious. This hotel has a very resort-like feel and I'd definitely return if I had the chance. Driving is more convenient, as there are many famous local delicacies nearby, but be aware of their opening hours. The Ikaho Onsen stone steps, with over a hundred steps, require courage and stamina to climb and return to the starting point. You'll understand what it means to go through hell and back again; once you complete it, you've unlocked a life achievement!

Because it is an old historic building, there may be some concerns about security, but there is no dissatisfaction with the service, etc. It was a room that was too large to stay alone. There was also a large bath and the open-air bath was the best. Convenience stores are a little far away about 10 minutes walk, so you need to be a little careful.

It’s a perfect getaway from the city. The outdoor onsen was one of my favourite. The best part of this trip. The room was spotless and the staffs were very nice.

The hotel is located very close to the main attractions in the city, which was extremely convenient. I booked a room with both lunch and dinner included, and the meals were great — served as set menus with good quality and presentation. There is also an onsen inside the hotel, though the outdoor area alternates between men and women depending on the day. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and was very satisfied.

Absolutely beautiful location and multiple hot spring options! The buffet breakfast was exquisite as well ask the multi-course dinner. Sadly we only were able to stay one night but waking up in morning to see beautiful flurries of snow surrounded by mountains was much more magical and memorable than I imagined! During our stay, I even lost my camera and the staff were so kind to go down the mountain and mail it to me at the airport, speak Japanese to the staff at the airport to help me find it and I am forever grateful for their kindness and service. If I lost my camera I would’ve lost all my photos and videos of the trip! The staff speak Chinese and fluent English and so it was really easy to communicate with them. Will definitely come back!! I liked the hot springs and the view overlooking the river from my room, so it was my second stay. There are two large communal baths, １ floor and ２ floor, so you can enter slowly without getting crowded. The room was large in a Japanese-style room with a bed and comfortable with a bath and toilet. However, I was worried that the flow of the toilet was weak. Overall, I think the breakfast is delicious and this price is cheap. It is a recommended inn for relay accommodation because it is close to Tomioka silk mill and Karuizawa is also close by 20 minutes by car.
