Very satisfied, the room is large, there are Chinese supermarkets around, you can eat and drink, it is worth recommending to everyone, the transportation is also very convenient, it is a very ideal hotel, praise!
The hotel is in a great location and the staff is super friendly. A little more attention needs to be paid to cleaning the rooms, but when I complained, I was immediately moved to a room that was better, although not great. It looked like they were ”hitting the high spots” and neglecting things like corners in the bathroom floors and vacuuming underneath beds and dusting off the chairs at the desks in the rooms. It wasn't awful, but I certainly expected better from such a beautiful building and location.
Everyone at Holiday Inn Staunton was so friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was awesome and the waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here to everyone!
The hotel does not provide electric kettle to boil water & was not supplying bottled water to the guests as well. You had to pay for basic drinking water USD2.00 per 600mm bottle.
Getting drinking water is a big problem from the hotel.
The restaurant there is basis … there wasn’t much food available.
The only bright point is that airport shuttle service was provided.
This has literally been the best experience I have had at a hotel in a very long time. The hotel room was by far the most cleanest I've been in. My 3 year old loved the indoor pool and the hours made it possible for her to take advantage during a busy schedule. Hotel staff were so friendly and very outgoing!
The Holiday Inn Express - Gloucester, an IHG Hotel is located in a quiet wooded setting in the heart of historic Gloucester County. The hotel is located near area attractions, like the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, Gloucester Point Beach Park, historic Yorktown Battlefield and Urbanna, Busch Gardens Europe theme park, Colonial Williamsburg, Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway, Water Country USA water park and the Prime Outlets - Williamsburg are only minutes away. The Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport is 20 miles from the hotel. Restaurants and shops are located next door, and the charming historic district is just over one mile away.
Ctrip booked two double-bed rooms, ready to check in at the front desk, and only one double bed was answered. The Ctrip customer service was always busy. Later, a customer service called me to talk to the hotel front desk and gave them to the hotel. After a confirmation code inside, the hotel found another section of the department, or a double bed. The customer service phone changed the hotel front desk to a large bed. The front desk refused, said it could not be changed, and finally had to wait for Ctrip to negotiate, about an hour before and after. Finally, I went to the hotel on-duty manager to explain the situation before I was able to check in. I got my room card at 8:50 pm and 10:00 pm. After a long day of fatigue, it was a bit ugly to encounter this. The location is relatively close and the price is relatively cheap. After all, Hilton is a big name, but this type of hotel has to charge and expensive for breakfast. I still think that holiday inn and crown plaza are better and cost-effective.

GGuest UserChecked in really late (around midnite but they held my room. I called ahead to let them know I'd be flying in late. Conveniently located on one of the major arteries, which incidentally conveniently ends at the US Coast Guard Training Center. I attended my son's training graduation but his checkout went long - probably because their NCO missed them and didn't want them to leave....so I ended up checking out of the hotel much later than the standard checkout time (11am - I checked out just after 1pm) - but because it was USCG related - they waived the late fee - which was greatly appreciated.
The entrance was easy to park (it was raining) and checkin was really simple once we confirmed my reservation. The breakfast nook was directly opposite the checkin counter which made things easier for later that morning (included breakfast). The elevator hallway had a machine which dispensed junk food and sodas - but you need physical cash to use them. Elevator made for deja vu as it's a standard Radisson layout. The room was clean - no weird smells and quite large and spacious with a receiving room (sofa and tv) hot water pot for coffee tea etc. The bathroom was well stocked with towels but the body wash was weirdly located next to the bathroom sink instead of the shower - that was strange. Hand soap was nice and sizable (useful as a body wash, given the fixed location of the body wash next to the sink). The bed was huge (king?) with plenty of pillows and bedding (sheets blankets etc). The room was quite warm which was nice since it was cold and wintery and wet outside. Staff were all very very nice and welcoming and polite.
All in all - most excellent experience from checkin to checkout. But it's the staff which make the experience smooth and enjoyable.
GGuest UserIn pics and in person the modern fresh room style is appealing though the functionality is sub-par. An example: one night table was a solid piece, no drawer or shelf with the top diameter much smaller than my laptop. Typically, a phone (use as an alarm), a bottle of water and an iPad , e-reader or book/magazine would be on a nightstand. Whoops, no room for all that and the slick surface made me nervous to leave my iPad on it. The open closet is fine, especially for me as I don't hang or put clothes in a drawer, but the only space available that wasn't in the bathroom is directly below where one would hang their clothes and right above the fridge. This could make it a perfect spot for a soft sided cooler, but this relatively small space (didn't measure, maybe 14”x20” with Keurig-style coffee maker already on it) is where one might set snacks, extra sodas, the cereal one brings because they like to eat the same thing every day and need a spot to set their cereal bowl while grabbing milk out of fridge right below. Not sure about you, but I'm not terribly comfortable putting food & dishes in the bathroom. Unfortunately, that is where my coffee maker needed to go (if I'm remembering correctly) the outlets where not accessible so Mr. Nespresso did need to go in the bathroom.
Bathroom shower had some mold around the caulk area, otherwise serviceable. Not a horrible room overall, but not as nice as other similarly priced nearby chains so I'll stick to those.
GGuest UserOnly stayed one night and there was a large group there.
This large group took over the whole place.
In the TV area where the lounge was filled with loud adults and kids.
We headed to our room about 8:30 that evening after going out to have a quieter time.
The kids were knocking on the door as they were running up and down the hall way, yes, the parents didn't stop them.
I thought surely this will calm down by 12 midnight.
Well I was wrong, this when on until 3:09AM in the hallway people running talking while going up and down the hallway. Then the groups out side in front of the hotel talking loud..
It was so loud you thought it was in the room. We left the TV on to see if that helped, it didn't.
The front desk should have done something to stop this behavior.
I was a paying guest also.
Very disappointed.
I told the young guy who checked me out and he said they had had trouble with them all week.
So I had to pay $ 200.00 to stay there and not sleep. The front desk should have stopped the group from disturbing the other guest.
I was very upset and very tried there next morning.
I all I got was I am sorry, they are leaving today.
GGuest UserHotel a bit dated. Been dealing with an issue receiving my deposit back due to a hold that is placed at check in on my card. Nice balconies available
GGuest UserThis is a lovely hotel! It's classy and elegant, and overall it'll make your vacation that much more special. The location is great, as you can walk to restaurants or other places in Luray. The Luray Caverns are a quick drive away, as is a Walmart and Food Lion, and Skyline Drive's Thornton Gap Entrance is close by. I ate at the Circa '31 restaurant for breakfast, which was reasonably priced (the menu is small with a few standard breakfast options). Free coffee and muffins in the lobby at all times. The Speakeasy restaurant is very good, and has various specials/deals each night. The bedrooms are small, but comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, with an area for bonfires and hammocks, as well as a pool and hot tub area. The staff is very kind and accommodating.
A few recommendations for the management:
~Put mini fridges in the rooms
~Put chairs on the balcony so people can use it as a sitting area
~Something to provide more counter space in the bathrooms
I recommend the Mimslyn Inn to anyone staying in the Luray area!
GGuest UserThe SureStay Oceanfront hotel was a pleasant surprise. The small check-in lobby is at the back of the garage, and had me wondering if I'd made a mistake. But the room key-entry elevator got us to the 4th floor fast. (I liked that security and speed) We went to our room, #404 and when we opened the door we were pleased. Spacious living room, beautiful ocean view, decent bathroom, separate bedroom, and it was VERY clean, which we appreciate very much. Really liked the kitchen with sink, stove, full-sized fridge and microwave.
We have paid a lot more for a lot less! Beach access was on the 1st floor, and put you right on the boardwalk. Not much to complain about. The only negatives were: 1. Only one remote for two TV's. Could have asked for another one, but we didn't need it. 2. The neighbors next door had screaming kids, and you could hear them through the vent. Fortunately it didn't last long. Besides that, we were VERY happy with our stay.
GGuest UserThis hotel was decent. The size of the room was good, and the TV was big. There are a few places to eat within a 5-10 minute walk. There is an enclosed pool area (with shallow water) and the gym looked very nice. Breakfast was decent, but both mornings I was there they ran out of coffee. (There is a coffee maker in the room though). The bathroom was the main issue. The tissue dispenser was empty, the soap container was empty, the water faucet pressure was so strong that water shot all over the room when I turned on the water, the water pressure in the shower was super low, the toilet continued to run after flushing (or stopped filling), and there appeared to be black mold under the bathroom sink. I left my room at 3:15pm on a Friday afternoon to go to an event, but the hotel staff did not clean my room. Overall it was fine, but for $160 per night I will probably explore other options next time.
CCLINTONMy wife and I were so pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Comfort Suites Dulles Airport hotel. The room was clean and spacious and very quiet, the facilities were very complete, the bed was very comfortable, the free breakfast had quite an abundant variety of choices and all the food was clean and hygenic and well-presented, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The complementary airport shuttle service was punctual with helpful drivers. We definitely plan to stay there again when we need to spend a night in that part of the DC area.
MM&RThis has been the choice hotel for my family for 10 years when we take our annual Va beach vacation! No issues with hotel or its staff, the room, the check in process flawless as usual, but the new aqua holics poolside bar and venue is horrible, limited selection of food and drinks and to top it off the staff is rude and over aggressive. They appear to be an entity that simply rents space from the hotel but they act as if they own the property. We went to enjoy the pool area and they literally said we don’t have room you must leave. I bought my room it’s not my fault the alcoholics and folks who are not staying on property have over crowded the ata, they should move or you relocate them. The pool belongs to choice hotels not your overrated brand. Terrible in that regard so we spent most of our vacation on the beach to avoid trouble and being hassled and harassed!
GGuest UserMy family & I recently stayed at this property, and the service was awesome!! We would definitely book here again!! To speak on why we would...One of the elevators was out of order, which is beyond their control, so to make the unpleasant situation pleasant; guests were provided with snacks and soda in the lobby while we waited for the elevator ... in addition to this dilemma, the water lines had to be tested, and the hotel was without water pressure for a little while; with that being said, guest were informed arrangements had been made so that we could use the neighboring hotel .... all the staff was extremely nice and I especially appreciated the security of ID check before a room key was given ... because there wasn't a hot-tub, I will give this hotel a 9/10 ... Wonderful booking
