Location is good for getting around Brisbane cbd, but quite a bit of traffic noise at night. Bathroom had a smell that I think was coming from the drain. Apart from the noise and smell the apartment was great. The fitness facilities were excellent

Dated but well kept. Pool and BBQ although I didn't use them were a good facility. Location middle of Cairns meant I could walk everywhere easily and on the level.....even the airport was in my walking range at 5.4 km. Staff were excellent and the management Excellent and able to resolve all issues I had with onward travels and other countries online travel document requirements, which is so helpful to an older less technical traveller like me.đ Mervyn

Tired and dated. Great location, botanical gems opposite. City view!!! The tarmac roof and major building works, 3 cranes were noted! Everything needs an update. Pool area ok excepts for the noise of construction. Should have been informed. There are other hotels nearby I would suggest you look at
Hotel is next to star ****** and walking distance to board beach. Hotel is looking pretty new and in fact, has been opened for few years.
The only down side was the house keeping on one of the night. We booked for 3 rooms for 3 nights, on the first day, the house keeping was completely messed up. 3x Rooms did make up (partly) with soil towels (one of the room only has bed tidy up, nothing else) and etc were collected, however, no cleaned towels replaced, bin still full.
Without this drama, this hotel is good.

Friendly, helpful check-in. The man at the counter offered extra towels when he heard we were taking a trip to the Great Barrier Reef. Paid a little extra for an upgrade as we wanted to check in early. Room was fine temperature and bed comfort-wise. It was a little bit dark when in the room at night. Also, there are no type c or plug ins next to the bed, just old style USB. We didnât have breakfast but enjoyed a drink in one of the cocktail bars by the pool. Would recommend and stay again for its cost and location.
After traveling around Australia for a month I booked this hotel and it was just what I needed! The view of the pool was lovely! And the room was spacious, the bed was so comfortable I didnât want to leave.

We stayed for four nights over the Easter holiday in a panorama sea view room in the new tower.
First of all, the location is excellent. The pool area has a sandy beach, and compared to the Hilton next door, the water was much clearer and very pleasant. The view is absolutely beautiful. However, when the tide goes out, it turns into what feels like a âpanoramic mudflat view,â so I would recommend carefully considering the timing of your stay.
On the other hand, there were several issues with the room. There is no balcony, and the windows cannot be opened. There were mosquitoes in the room, and I was bitten multiple times, which caused itching and swelling. The insect repellent device in the hallway was empty, which made me question the quality of housekeeping management. When I spoke to a female staff member at reception, I was told that only body spray repellent was available, and no further assistance was offered, so I had to purchase and install my own insect repellent.
In addition, there was a sewage-like smell coming from the bathroom. The mirror and sink were not properly cleaned and appeared dirty. The room and hallway also had a moldy smell, and due to the humidity, the bed linens felt damp. The duvet was thin and not very comfortable. As I am sensitive to smells, these issues made me feel nauseous and unwell.
Later, my husband spoke to a male staff member at reception. Although the hotel was fully booked and we were unable to change rooms, he responded with sincerity, apologized thoroughly, and instructed housekeeping to carry out a deep cleaning. When we returned from going out, the bathroom had been properly cleaned and the sewage smell was gone. The moldy smell in the room did not completely disappear, but it had been masked with deodorizer, and we were able to sleep well that night.
However, the same issues returned the following day. As it was the Easter holiday and other hotels were fully booked, we had no choice but to stay until the end of our reservation. Afterward, I checked reviews and found many similar complaints about the moldy smell, which made me regret not researching more thoroughly beforehand. I had assumed that as a five-star hotel, it would be fine.
Overall, the reception staff were kind, friendly, and professional. In particular, the male staff member who assisted us was excellent. On the other hand, I felt that the quality of housekeeping needs improvement.
In my opinion, these issues are largely due to a design flawâspecifically, the building was designed with aesthetics prioritized over functionality by the construction company and architect, resulting in rooms where windows cannot be opened despite the humid tropical climate. The older tower, which has balconies and windows that can be opened, may not have the same problems.
I would not recommend this hotel to those who are sensitive to smells, but for those who are not, it can still be a wonderful place to stay given its location and facilities.

Good location but the others are not good. The power of water stream is not good, why there is not air condition in the bedroom but there is only in sitting room.
It is a little weird hotel. The rooms are simple and a bit outdated, motel type, but nevertheless the restaurant area, the pool (which allows to make long) and the garden are very careful and are very nice. It has direct access to the beach of Mission Beach which is very beautiful and is 5-10 min walk from the area where shops and restaurants are grouped. Breakfast a bit lazy, charging an extra for an express.
Very Good

Oouliana routLocation of the resort is very good, on the river, close to the Surfers Paradise central area and walking distance to the beach. It has lots of free garage and on site parking. It has tennis court, beautiful pool with hot outdoor spa , gym and dry sauna. All service desk guys were very attentive and helpful. Downside is that the resort is old and needs lots of maintenance. All common areas are in need of a facelift. All units have individual owners. The unit I stayed had blocked sink in the bathroom and bed mattress in the bedroom was worn out and sagging to one side. Lucky me I was able to sleep on the other side!

GGuest UserSurfers Beach Holiday Apartments was a great place to stay for our family. The management was helpful. Rooms were of a good size. The location is quiet. It is a easy walk to catch the G:tram. This makes getting to Surfers Paradise or other locations easy. Riding the G is also much cheaper and easier than trying to find parking for the car. While we were there, there were few people using the pool. Our grandkids had a great time... and mostly had the pool to themselves. I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator.(My fault for not checking.) Being on the third floor normally wouldn't have been an issue. Because of health issues for one of our family members, it would have been easier if we had been on a lower floor. If I had contacted the management when booking they said they would have tried to give us a lower floor. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.
XXuanxuanbutinghuaThe hotel's front desk service was quite good; they even gave a small gift once they knew I was a Marriott Platinum member. The room was a bit damp, but clean enough. It's great for kids; we spent three days enjoying the hotel's beach and pool and didn't even want to go out. While the amenities can't compare to a water park, they were still very good. We'll definitely go back. The hotel breakfast was decent, just a bit crowded, so you had to queue.
GGuest UserI booked an apartment, but the service was surprisingly good. I was a bit worried based on previous reviews that apartment service might not be as great. Due to heavy rain and a flight delay in Melbourne, I didn't check in until almost midnight. I asked about adding breakfast, and the lady at check-in immediately registered me for a Langham membership, saying I could get 50% off breakfast using that membership number. I wasn't happy with the view from the first room. Later, a very beautiful Asian lady at the front desk had a colleague show me a new room, and I only switched once I was sure about it. Super awesome!
