Daji Mountain Forest Park is also known as Taoist Valley. For thousands of years, this is the place where Taoist priests and nuns can cultivate themselves. There are still Taoist temples and monuments. Qiu Chuji, a famous Taoist priest at the end of Song Dynasty and the beginning of Yuan Dynasty, one of the seven true persons of Quanzhen Religion, practiced here and left inscriptions on the cliffs of Xishan Mountain. The main peak of Daji Mountain is 478 meters above sea level. There are 24 cliff carvings from the valley to the top of the mountain. Famous calligrapher, Zheng Daozhao of Guangzhou, Northern Wei Dynasty, left 12 inscriptions on this mountain in 512 AD. The main inscriptions are "Dengdaki Mountain Poetry", "Zhongming Temple" and so on. They are all inscribed on the steep cliffs inside the mountain. Daji Mountain Forest Park is the main place for viewing cliff stone carvings and Taoist holy places. The stone carvings do not seem to have been completely restored. The name of Taoist holy place is true. Taoist temples, celebrities'anecdotes and folklores seem to be richer and more colorful than Laoshan Mountain in Qingdao, which is known as the second highest mountain of Taoism. There are Quanzhen religion founder Wang Chongyang's handwriting "Valley Fengxiang", Changchun Ziqiu's handwriting "Haozhi Lingxiu" ancient stage, Su Shi's handwriting "without regret", the Taiqing Palace founded by Wang Chongyang, Jin Dading eight years (1168), Jin Chengan's three years (1198) by Liu Changsheng of Quanzhen School, the newly built Temple of Notre Dame of Mount Tai, the Great Base Tower, Haotian, and the Arctic Pavilion.
