Our group of four went to the Shanxi First Hot Spring Hotel, thinking it would be conveniently located within the Wang Family Courtyard. We ended up loving it! The hotel environment was superb! 👍🏻 Getting up early to climb the city wall and see the swirling mist was like stepping into a fairyland. The air was fresh, the hot spring water smooth, and the night view even more beautiful! Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was plentiful! Everyone is planning to come back! The manager, Xiao Wang, and my husband hit it off immediately, and he even gave us souvenir coins!

We spent out last night of our trip at Kempinski Taiyuan, and it did not disappoint. The receptionist upgraded up to a room on a high floor with a view of the city. They also gave us fresh fruits and free minibar. They had everything you would expect of a five star hotel, and the location is in a bustling part of the city. Would definitely come back.

The twin room features 1.35m beds, making it a top choice for families with older children. I really appreciate this classic five-star hotel; the environment, service, and facilities are all impeccable. The hotel has a large parking lot and is close to the ancient city. The breakfast selection is quite extensive, and they even offer late-night snacks! Coming back after a night out, you can grab some milk, congee, small pastries, or side dishes to refuel, which is a really thoughtful touch. On the day we checked in, we also received two complimentary bathhouse tickets. My only minor quibble is about the welcome fruit. I saw in other reviews that it's usually provided, but we didn't receive it on check-in day or the next. When I called the front desk that evening, it took quite a while for a staff member to bring it. It's not that I'm particularly keen on the fruit, but I was just a bit confused by the process. Isn't welcome fruit supposed to be given to every room upon check-in?

When I came to Linfen for a trip with my lover, I saw this hotel was newly opened when I was screening hotels online, so I placed an order! Overall, I am very satisfied. The front desk manager, Guo Tongtong, provides very thoughtful service and answers all my questions. There is also a laundry room which is very convenient. The hotel is located in a new commercial center with convenient transportation and parking. The breakfast is also good. There is a local delicacy beef meatball noodles next to it. The hotel recommends chicken soup rice noodles for breakfast. The room overlooks the Fen River, which has a nice view at night. The room is elegantly decorated and meets the hotel's star standards. I will book here again next time I have the chance.

Hygiene: Excellent. All towels, bath towels, and bathrobes come in sealed bags, which made me feel very secure using them. Facilities: Excellent. Although it's an older hotel, the showerheads show their age but are very well-maintained and work perfectly. Environment: The location is great. The room card gives access to a small gate leading to Yingze Lake Park. It's a nice two to three-kilometer loop for a leisurely stroll. Service: Excellent. They offered complimentary welcome fruits, and you just scan a QR code to request more amenities. There's also a delivery robot that brings food right to your door, all very convenient. Suggestion: I hope they can switch from instant Nestlé coffee to pour-over coffee bags. Instant coffee feels too low-end and doesn't match the hotel's overall quality.

Honestly, the Superior Twin Room is perfectly fine. The Deluxe rooms are just bigger than the Superior ones, but there's no other difference, and the extra space isn't really utilized. The hotel staff provided excellent service, the rooms were very clean, and the food was delicious (the braised pork, stir-fried pork slices, siu mai, and sweet and sour meatballs were all outstanding). I especially liked the buckwheat pillows in each room; they're perfect for someone like me who can't sleep on high pillows. The front desk gave everyone a beautiful souvenir map. Even when retrieving our bags, the bellhop quickly came over and hurried to assist, which shows that the Garden Hotel treats its employees well, as their professionalism and enthusiasm for service are exceptional. There are several popular internet-famous restaurants around the hotel. You can go down to get a number during meal times, then come back to the hotel and relax, and head back down when your number is called an hour or two later. No need to wait outside the hotel in the cold. I have to recommend a hidden gem: a fried skewer shop near the hotel. It's incredibly tasty, even the coating on the quail eggs is crispy. The spa area is a bit small, with only two scrubbing stations and five showers, but the scrubbing service, massage service, and other assisted bathing services are all excellent and reasonably priced. The staff scrub very diligently. My family member said that the guy ahead of him, after asking about the prices, immediately declared he wanted every service! 😂😂😂 I feel like if I come back in the future, I'll still choose the Garden Hotel.

It was very clean and nice. The staff was very considerate and enthusiastic. The most amazing thing was that the twin room we booked actually had a massage bed inside, which was equivalent to three beds. We had one bed for each of the three generations, so it was impossible for us to sleep uncomfortably. I just forgot to take pictures of the room and just enjoyed it. The breakfast was also good. I was really afraid that I would eat too much. As for the surrounding area, there is a super large Wanda Plaza and Yonghui Supermarket across the road. Datong is a cool city in summer. I will stay here again next time I come to escape the summer heat.

It is a treasure hotel for this trip to Datong. It is not far from Datong South Station and about 30 minutes away from the ancient city. There is a Wanda Plaza next door, which is a relatively reasonable location away from the tourist army. The hotel colleagues are very professional. When checking in on the 1st, they gave me a refrigerator magnet, welcomed me to Datong and introduced the nearby delicious food and the hotel's scenic shuttle bus in detail. Because we need to leave for the Hanging Temple at 5 am, we also prepared a portable breakfast in advance. The hotel breakfast is also quite special, with pancakes and Mongolian milk tea haha. The room is relatively new and spacious, and it is also quite clean. There are also free fruits for check-in. In general, I would like to recommend this hotel to friends.
