We were a group of four and had booked two standard twin rooms (with two beds) many days in advance. We specifically requested adjacent rooms on a higher floor. However, we were placed on the 12th floor (out of over 20 floors in total), and our rooms were not next to each other. **II. Room Interior (Major Complaints):** 1. The bathroom glass door and the main room door would collide, posing a significant risk of the glass door shattering! 2. For a twin room, there was only one sink. 3. At around 9:30 AM, all the lights in the room inexplicably turned on (we hadn't booked any wake-up service)! 4. The pillows were too thin; one was too low, but stacking two made them too high. 5. The nightlight was not motion-sensored; it had to be switched on and off manually. 6. The room occasionally had strange, unexplainable noises. 7. There was only one tissue box, which felt a bit stingy. 8. The room was very small, pitifully cramped. 9. The room door surprisingly had no door stopper, which was very inconvenient! **III. Public Areas:** 1. The hotel is surrounded by shopping malls and bars, making it a bit noisy. The window glass wasn't very soundproof. 2. The public corridor on the 12th floor of the hotel had a musty smell mixed with cigarette smoke. **IV. Breakfast (Complaints):** 1. On the first day, there was no escort service to a table, but there was on the second day. 2. The escort service was particularly odd. After being led to a table, the staff member didn't flip the small card on the table to the ”occupied” side (the other side being ”empty”). As a result, when I returned with my food, I found my seat had been taken by someone else (I was in tears, figuratively speaking). 3. There were small slips of paper on the table for ordering special egg dishes to be delivered to the table, but there were no pens available, making it impossible to mark our choices…

Naturally, for this price point within the ancient city, you shouldn't compare it to hotels of the same price outside. It's incomparable, primarily due to its superb geographical advantage.

Located right next to the Confucius Temple, it's incredibly convenient for exploring the ancient city. The rooms have a traditional decor and are very warm. The hotel grounds are really spacious. On the Winter Solstice, I actually got to eat dumplings handmade by the hotel, and I suddenly felt 'cared for'. The breakfast menu changes daily, so you don't get tired of it. 💆♀️ This was a truly relaxing, 'lie-flat' vacation. This time, I also tried the newly introduced sound bowl healing at the hotel, which made me so relaxed I didn't want to talk throughout the session.
