Our group of eight traveled around Yunnan for 12 days, and Citymark Hotel (Kunming Changshui Airport) was by far everyone's favorite. The service was exceptional; as soon as we walked in, the front desk greeted us with warm smiles, making us feel right at home. The rooms were incredibly clean and featured smart services. All the slippers and towels were sterilized and sealed, and the sheets and duvet covers were impeccably clean, even better than at home. They also offered free shuttle service, and the breakfast spread was varied, nutritious, and delicious. It was a stark contrast to the cold attitude we experienced from staff at other hotels earlier in our trip. Everyone agreed that on our next visit to Kunming, Yunnan, we'll definitely stay at Citymark Hotel again and recommend it to our friends and family.
My stay at the Sofitel Kunming with a Dianchi Lake view room was absolutely perfect! The high-floor, panoramic French windows offered stunning views – during the day, I could see Dianchi Lake and the Western Hills in the distance, and in the evening, the sunset painted the lake beautifully. The nighttime city lights were incredibly soothing. The room's French-style soft furnishings were elegant, and the MyBed bedding was so soft and comfortable for sleeping. The bathtub with a view, paired with Lanvin toiletries, created a fantastic atmosphere for a relaxing soak while enjoying the scenery. Young at the front desk provided thoughtful service and handled check-in efficiently. The room was clean and odor-free. The hotel's location is convenient, and it has excellent facilities including a heated swimming pool and a high-altitude restaurant. The French design blended with Yunnan characteristics makes this view room the top choice for a vacation in Kunming. Highly recommended!

The hotel's hot water for showering is very hot and very comfortable. I stayed in too many hotels and B&Bs along the way, and the shower experience at night would be very bad. This one has a large amount of water in the shower room, and the whole shower process is very enjoyable. The hotel also has a laundry drying area, which is very user-friendly. Parents and children travel with their children's clothes. There are more accumulated here, wash and dry them in one go, and then prepare for the next stop. I also want to thank the management here. The child had stomach discomfort, and the store manager took us to the health center for injections by bike. The pick-up and drop-off service is very considerate and also considerate for us

I specifically chose this hotel for my birthday getaway, and I highly recommend it to anyone celebrating their birthday! They offer free birthday decorations and a cake 🍰. At the Lakeside Buffet, multiple birthday guests in a group can eat for free, and at Dianxiang Restaurant, you get a complimentary set of roast duck – absolutely fantastic! 👍🏻
The hotel provides free activities like pet interactions, boating, fishing, batik dyeing, and tea tasting, as well as a variety of other paid activities. The fishing was incredibly fun, even though I almost didn't catch anything, which was a bit disappointing. But hearing the excited screams from other guests nearby was still great!
The breakfast was also excellent. I'll just share one photo of the eggs – eight different varieties!!! The swimming center has a sauna and spa, but unfortunately, I didn't bring a swimsuit, which was one of my regrets.
Overall, I look forward to visiting again in the future and hope the hotel continues to improve!
Absolutely fantastic!
The location is right by the lake, and you can easily walk to the Yongzi Chess Academy.
The entire hotel is predominantly wooden in style, with excellent greenery. The combination of wood and plants creates a very comfortable atmosphere. The whole hotel is also incredibly well-maintained, feeling very new. The rooms feature dark brown wooden floors instead of carpets, which truly gives it a homey feel.
Since it was our honeymoon, the hotel gifted us a cake. As soon as we opened it, the sweet aroma of real cream filled the air. It was a double-layered cake with blueberry and melon fillings. We didn't finish it, not because it wasn't good! We were just too full! TAT The cake was genuinely delicious!
The hot spring is authentic; as soon as you open the tap, you can smell the sulfur. After soaking, our skin felt smooth and very comfortable!
We also received two tickets to the hot spring bathhouse. During the off-season, it felt almost like having the place to ourselves. We managed to enjoy all the different pools in about two hours – it was incredibly relaxing!
(🍬 The local candies at the front desk were also really tasty!)

Our butler, Bianca, was incredibly warm and attentive. She anticipated our needs and even gave a souvenir to my child. A huge bonus was not having to go downstairs to pick up food deliveries; the concierge brought them directly to our room! The hotel's central location is perfect, directly connected to the Plaza 66 mall. On days with bad weather, we could easily pop over to the mall for some shopping. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Kunming!
The screen lock was broken, and I slept with the balcony glass door closed. My child was woken up by mosquito bites in the middle of the night. The room was hot, and the air conditioner was so loud that I couldn't fall asleep. I didn't ask to change rooms because it was too late. My child was bitten 5 times on his face, and it was very itchy. I called the service to ask for a mosquito repellent (there was one in the room, placed next to the desk, not on the bedside table, so it was hard to find). The hotel didn't have any spare topical medicine for itching after mosquito bites. At 2 a.m., I was worried that my child would be swollen due to allergies, so I asked someone to run errands to buy medicine. When I checked out, I told the front desk that the air conditioner in the room was loud and needed them to check it. They said very impatiently: If it disturbs us, you can help us change rooms! (Speechless, is this a matter of changing rooms?). The coffee cups in the breakfast room should also be changed. They are so frugal!

My trip to Lijiang was impromptu, and the reason I booked this hotel was simply because of a very basic need:
I wanted a quiet, private, and undisturbed courtyard where I could enjoy a quiet drink while facing the snow-capped mountains, whiling away a moment of peace.
If many hotels use ”design language” to construct a lie about privacy, then Tangting's first impression was one of solidified confidence built on a sense of ”appropriateness.”
Before arrival, General Manager Amy's inquiry was polite and restrained, without being overly enthusiastic or intrusive; on the day of check-in, the founder, Brother Qingshan, personally drove to pick me up, his composure not showing obsequiousness, but rather like an old friend meeting.
The journey wasn't far, we chatted a lot, and I was surprised to find out he was the first Ctrip customer, which felt like fate.
The moment I opened the door, I understood what ”composure” truly meant.
In the center of the lobby, the ancient tea tree was not just for show; under the dappled sunlight of the courtyard, it created an almost Zen-like order. At the warm invitation of Qingshan and Amy, we sampled the flavor of this century-old tea tree. It wasn't superficial; it was a testament to the sedimentation of time.
Upon entering the room, a breathtaking panorama of snow-capped mountains unfolded before our eyes. The surrounding birdsong and insect chirps confirmed the saying: true seclusion isn't about hiding in the mountains, but about standing by the window and the world automatically turning down its volume for you.
Some hotels sell bricks and antique furnishings, but Tangting sells a ”privilege” that allows for complete relaxation.
This surprise reached its peak after nightfall. Bartender Xiao Boyu seemed to understand how to extract the soul of the night. The drink he personally crafted was unexpectedly amazing—a perfect balance of sweet and sour, with a finish that held the unique intensity and gentleness of Lijiang. One sip, and I realized that true ”seclusion” also requires this touch of intoxication to complete the experience.
Noble without tranquility is merely a noisy dwelling; extravagance without moderation ultimately leads to vulgarity.
True luxury isn't about the price tag, but about feeling a sense of peace and tranquility once you step inside.
Last night, I enjoyed drinks with Qingshan and Xiaoboyu, and in the midst of our lively conversation, a sudden realization dawned on me. As Qingshan said, the best state in this world can be summed up in four words: just right.
And this is precisely the most precious quality of Tangting.
Facilities: The decor is very luxurious and beautiful.
Cleanliness: The room is well-equipped and very clean.
Environment: The location is good, relatively quiet, and easy to find.
Service: The service is very attentive. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety of options, and we even received a local guide upon check-in.

I stayed for 5 days in total, here are my thoughts:
The hotel is beautiful, every corner is meticulously designed and heavily invested, exuding the aesthetics of 1956. It's definitely worth experiencing. It's also great for photos. Although some details in the room are a bit old and the facilities are somewhat average, the overall ambiance outweighs these shortcomings, so it's still a worthwhile choice.
The service was also very attentive and excellent. The fruit platter in the room was replenished daily with various seasonal fruits, which was a thoughtful touch. In the evening, they would deliver things like white fungus soup (though we didn't drink it), but it left a very good impression. The butler was also very professional and accommodated all our needs. The pool was clean, and the longer we stayed over the 5 days, the more comfortable it became. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kunming.
Additionally, I have some personal suggestions for improvement:
1. There are too few non-smoking twin rooms. We were involuntarily assigned to a smoking floor (10th floor), which they claimed had been treated to remove smoke odors. However, for the first two days, there was still a strange smell of smoke mixed with old carpet, an indescribable odor, which made it difficult to sleep well. It was quite bothersome. I hope more non-smoking floors can be added, and that room odors are thoroughly dealt with. The carpets could also be cleaned more frequently.
2. The shower is located inside the bathtub. Even with a shower curtain, water would inevitably flow over the edge of the tub, leaving the entire bathroom floor wet after showering. This was very inconvenient. We had to use towels to block the edge of the tub each time we showered, which helped a little, but water still escaped. I hope there's a way to improve this.
3. The wall near the room entrance has a thick, leather-like texture, but the surface is aged, with many pieces of the outer layer peeling off and flaking. I hope this can be improved.
4. Overall cleanliness still has room for improvement. When we first checked in, there were many water stains on the bathroom mirror!
5. The breakfast was generally delicious, but compared to other 4- and 5-star hotels, it lacked stir-fried rice and stir-fried noodles. I hope more stir-fried dishes can be added.
Not everyone likes rice noodles, and if you don't eat them, the other main course options are quite limited.
6. There's no swimsuit spin dryer in the changing rooms by the pool, and the pool doesn't have lane dividers. These are points that I feel could be improved.

GGuest UserThe Banyan Tree Lijiang pool villa experience was absolutely divine! It's an individual Naxi-style courtyard with a private heated pool, and you get direct views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain right from your window. The privacy is unbeatable, the room facilities are well-maintained, and the environment is wonderfully peaceful and therapeutic. Our dedicated butler, Elin, provided incredibly thoughtful service. She coordinated our entire itinerary from check-in, responding promptly to all our needs. From airport transfers, fruit platters, and turndown service to travel tips, everything was meticulously arranged and she was always responsive. The views, amenities, and service are all top-notch. This is definitely my top recommendation for a Lijiang vacation – highly recommended!
GGuest UserThe room facing the street was quite quiet, which was nice. The front desk has a coffee machine, and you can ask the staff to prepare drinks for you as needed.
The front desk staff was very enthusiastic and proactively offered us travel advice. Parking allows one exit within a 24-hour period, so plan your outings accordingly.
It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the Old Town Windmill, maybe because I walk a bit slowly, but it's definitely not just a few minutes away.
The room is equipped with smart home features, and the quality of items like tissues is quite good, showing that the owner has high standards for the amenities provided.
BBingbingle、The room was very spacious and well-equipped.
The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking.
The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed.
The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes.
I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yunnan.
GGuest UserThis hotel made up 90% of my wonderful Lijiang trip – it was incredibly comfortable and the service was so thoughtful. The excellent service started right from booking; the owner added me on WeChat to ask about my arrival time and if I needed a pick-up, always replying instantly. They even helped with my luggage! The hotel is halfway up the mountain, offering stunning views of Lijiang Old Town. Whenever I wanted to go out, they'd drive me to the old town entrance, making it super convenient – a quiet escape yet close to everything. Plus, food delivery comes right to your room. The daily afternoon tea, coffee, and regular tea were all delicious, and the mini cakes and cookies were also high quality. There are 3 cats to pet, and a huge, super clear projector that was so comfy it made me not want to leave the room, haha.
⭐️ **Amenities:** It has an elevator! Floor-to-ceiling windows, a spacious and bright room, with sunlight streaming in – super comfortable! There's underfloor heating, powerful air conditioning, and a humidifier. The furniture is solid and high-quality, and the bed is just the right softness with comfortable linens.
⭐️ **Hygiene:** Daily cleaning, disposable slippers in sterilized packaging, soft and clean towels, separate toilet and shower areas, and a bathtub – extremely clean!
⭐️ **Service:** Absolutely amazing, they catered to every request! They provided sightseeing tips and routes with location pins, no pushy sales, and were as warm and attentive as a good friend! Unlimited complimentary bottled water, they'd offer water and an umbrella when I left, and fresh flower cakes when I returned – they looked after me so well!
We will definitely be back.

We originally booked a 60-square-meter hot spring king room with a terrace and breakfast. To our surprise and delight, the hotel kindly upgraded us to an even larger room free of charge.
The upgraded room was incredibly spacious. Besides the bedroom, it featured a separate living room, a large balcony, an enormous bathroom, a jetted tub, and a private sauna. The moment we opened the door, we couldn't help but exclaim, ”This is huge!”
The room's design heavily incorporated wood, complemented by high, distinctive ceilings, creating a strong resort vibe. Our favorite areas were the balcony and living room; they felt incredibly open and were perfect for simply relaxing, enjoying tea, or chatting.
After a soak in the jetted tub in the evening, followed by a session in the sauna, all the day's fatigue just melted away. This setup far exceeded our initial expectations.
The hotel's service also deserves praise. While a free upgrade isn't mandatory, it's these extra touches that make guests feel valued and cared for.
The biggest takeaway from this stay is that we booked a hot spring room but unexpectedly enjoyed a suite-level experience. From the room size and facilities to overall comfort, everything was exceptionally satisfying.
I would definitely choose to stay here again without hesitation.

GGuest UserTo start with: it's been a long time since I've had such a satisfying experience.
**Facilities**: This is a hot spring resort that's well-maintained despite its age. Villa 10 is perfectly situated, and the facilities are in excellent condition – not a single sliding door was out of order or stuck, which is quite impressive. However, it would be even better if the front door locks were upgraded.
**Cleanliness**: Very clean, very satisfied.
**Environment**: I walked all around the resort grounds; the scenery is beautiful. Beyond the expansive lake views, there's also a hidden gem of a pond with bald cypress trees.
**Service**: Absolutely more than five points, more than five stars – truly perfect. The golf carts were available on call, and the turndown service was meticulous. A special thanks to Ms. Yang at the front desk for helping to coordinate our departure transfer, adding another wonderful touch to our trip.
**Afternoon Tea Experience**: The taste was exquisite; I even worried I might never find such delicious pastries elsewhere again.
**Airport Transfer Service**: The transfer car was good, and the driver was skilled and provided thoughtful service.
**Outdoor Garden Hot Spring Experience**: The hot springs were great. The bathing area even thoughtfully provided a stool for seniors, though the lighting in the changing area was really too dim to see the locker numbers.
**Food**: The food was also good. I really liked the mushroom and radish dish at dinner, and the roasted duck was unique. The breakfast rice noodles were outstanding! And the gulls loved the birdseed provided for them too.
NNingmengWe chose this hotel because it was relatively close to the event location we were attending with our child. The shuttle service was excellent; they greeted us with snacks and lollipops for the little one, and the eye mask they provided was quite useful – our child was very happy! Plus, the subway station is right at the entrance, making it super convenient for getting around!

GGuest UserSetting up my home at the foot of the snowy mountains, living amidst the scenery – this hotel fulfilled all my fantasies for a snow mountain getaway. Opening the window, I was greeted by majestic snow-capped peaks, wreathed in clouds, like a fairyland. In the morning, I witnessed the golden glow of the sunrise on the mountains; in the evening, I quietly admired the sunset painting the snow. At night, I gazed up at the brilliant starry sky – every moment was so beautiful it left me speechless. The room had a wonderful texture, with warm-toned design elements incorporating Naxi style, making it both cozy and luxurious. The private hot spring tub melted away all my fatigue. The staff were gentle and enthusiastic, with meticulous service. Every day here felt slow and peaceful, accompanied by the snow mountains, healing and wonderful. It's definitely worth countless return visits!
