Although this hotel is situated quite some distance from the Old Town this is not a bad thing at all. Insect I very much appreciated being removed from the thick crowds and noise, and very much enjoyed the peace and tranquility and spectacular sea views from this wonderful resort. Definitely worth paying extra for a c facing room, for breathtaking panoramas day and night. My room was elegantly decorated and very comfortable, with ample space for everything although a luggage rack or designated space for luggage would enhance overall comfort greatly. Staff were generally helpful and polite, with special mention to Matija the Restaurant Manager, who, despite handling large volumes of customers, remained unfailingly cheerful and energetic. The breakfast buffet was very generous by European standards, whilst the dinner buffet selection was also more than adequate and quite good value at 35 Euros per person. As mentioned in previous reviews, a bus connects the Babin Kuk area (where the Royal Ariston and her neighboring sister hotels, the Royal Princess, Royal Blue, Royal Palm and Neptun are situated) to the Old Town. If you purchase the 40 Euro Dubrovnik City pass, discovers one day worth of this bus travel plus access to the city walls and its museums. Cannot recommend this resort highly enough and look forward to my return.

The hotel was in a good location away from the crowds great for family with kids like us. The night we arrived we had a problem with air conditioning and the staff member said they knew about the issue and the air was getting restarted and will be fine. Well it wasn't I went to sleep and woke up multiple times in a sweat. In the morning I told the front desk staff and I got the old ”Sorry about that” nothing to compensate but they were able to fix the issue that next morning. Apart from that very clean good breakfast and clean pool and bathroom facilities.

Staffs are very helpful and caring. We have very early morning flight and need to leave hotel before breakfast starts. The staff offers to prepare breakfast box for us to take to airport. The hotel is relatively new considering the similar age of hotel. It takes only 20 mins Uber to old town which I find it’s completely acceptable. It’s good choice for relax and also not far from airport. We will definitely go back to stay this hotel if we visit here again.

Great location for solo female travellers. 7mins walk to the old town where you can get food and take day trips from. In the afternoon when it gets too hot, you can come back to the hotel for a siesta or chill by the deck chairs. House keeping was great with constant refreshing of the room. Would stay here again. Only negative is that there’s a live band playing at a nearby beach club from 8pm to around 10.50pm each night. Can’t get any rest until the set ends (even with ear plugs on). I had assumed that the live band was playing at a restaurant within the hotel as the music was so loud but the concierge clarified that it was from a nearby beach club and it’s because it’s summer. To be fair the music was nice but loud.

Very disappointed. I usually look for the best accommodation at any place where I go for a holiday. This hotel with small rooms, no ventilation and poorly maintained small balcony with uncared for bushes and shrubs blocking any excess or views was not something I expected when I booked the place. Food variety and quantity extremely small at least in room service. Please replace the word “ Palace” or just delete it.

This is a wonderfully relaxed hotel . The central facilities ( restaurant , lounge, bar, entertainment area ) are on two levels and nestle into the bay whilst the bedroom accommodation is in groups of villas that blend well into the surrounding houses, that face into the beautiful horseshoe bay. The all inclusive arrangement where meal times are well spread out means the restaurant is never too busy . An excellent place for a relaxed holiday

Cavtat only 10/15 mins from the the airport and the hotel well located within the resort itself. Upon arrival we were assigned a ”Park View” room...essentially the balcony was up against a cliff face with no sun. Got upgraded to a sea view room for an extra €50 per night...great value as the morning coffees overlooking the sea and the glorious sunsets became a highlight of the holiday...good restaurants nearby. Would defo return to the hotel / area.

The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, overlooking the Adriatic Sea. There are many room types in the hotel. You must book a room facing the sea and on a high floor, otherwise the balcony and the road are at the same level and there is no privacy. The hotel's room facilities are simple, but clean, and there are not many services. The room rate is greatly increased during the peak season. If you don't book in advance, you can't get an ideal room. This is the case for most hotels in resorts.

The pros: I arrived 2 hours earlier and was thankful that concierge checked me in immediately. The view from my room was wonderful and the breakfast variety was fine though the same menu was served daily throughout my 4 night stay. The vicinity of Lapad is not near to the old town, but I specifically selected the area/hotel to be away from crowds and large tour groups, so I’m happy with it. The area is beautiful, with plenty of rock coves for walks and exploration. The cons: Mirror to the cupboard was cracked and plastered over with aluminium tape, design of the room is definitely dated, carpets are a little stained though these are not important to me. As a solo female Asian traveller, I do observe that older staff, male especially, communicate with some sense of superiority towards me, in comparison to western guests. In other words, I do not feel welcome. That applies to Dubrovnik in general, while in Zagreb, service staff are much friendlier.

Absolutely a wonderful hotel all around. The buffet breakfast was extraordinary with so much to offer. What is exceptional about this property that I learned once we got there was how they have an Asian spa version of rooms in their spa. They have a salt room, steam room, igloo room, a turkish bath, indoor pool, warm pool, cold pool, rainforest shower ... we went to the pool and in the sea off the cliffs everyday and it was just wonderful. At night they had live entertainment. One of the best hotels in the wrold!

SSharon AmandaThis is a really nice budget hotel, located in Lapad, away from the hustle & bustle of the old town, and close to the beach. We had a large room with an extremely comfortable bed/pillows, and a terrace/balcony. I thought it was a great idea to have clothes drying racks on the balconies, perfect for your beach towels & swimsuits. We had the breakfast, and it was pretty much the same every day. But even for us vegans, we could get something nice to eat. And for people with no dietary restrictions, there is even more choice. Our shower was faulty, which we reported to staff on our first morning. As it was the weekend, they advised that it probably wouldn't be fixed immediately, but by Tuesday we had a brand new shower head (the shower was usable, just faulty - we didn't have to exist without a shower!) The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful, and gave good tips about the beaches and surrounding area. There is a bus stop directly across the street from the hotel, where you can catch Bus 6 to the old town. The buses are small and very busy (September) and the cost is 2.50 euro one way. We did also buy tickets in advance from the kiosk in the town, where they are a little cheaper (1.70). And I must admit, we walked to the old town on several occasions. 30 minute walk, but with beautiful views. The beaches close by are lovely. There is a great walking path along the coast, and at some spots you can walk down stone steps to small seating areas, where you can also jump into the ocean and swim. We did this instead of going to the pebble beaches and hiring sun loungers. Overall, this was a really nice hotel, perfect for what we wanted. It is not high end, glam or luxurious, but it is comfortable, clean and friendly.

AAnonymous UserHotel is pretty clean, the room is large with a balcony. Hotel includes sauna, salt sauna, hammam, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a pretty good gym, PlayStation and computer play area. Breakfast is very good. Fruits selected are very tasty. Hotel is about 20min drive to old town, you can catch a Uber which costs around 20 euro. Distance to airport is 45 min drive cost around 45 euro. Hotel provides shuttle bus services to old town (8 euro per person one way) and taxi services to airport (60 euro). Drivers are very polite. Price is reasonable. Hotel staff are in general very nice. Shortcoming are the lunch/dinner restaurants. Tried almost all restaurants and the only good one is Veranda but the price is the highest. The price of all restaurants is pretty high. Not the hotel charges high but in general the price of the restaurants in Dubrovnik area is in the high range. There is no soft sand beaches. But the ocean is very clear and we can see different kinds of fishes doing snorkelling.
