Miss DreamLijiang punishes everyone who doesn't plan ahead!!! I've wanted to visit Lijiang Old Town for ages! Dancing around a bonfire in the Old Town Listening to folk songs in a bar I did my research beforehand And stayed for three days and two nights, finally figuring out how to enjoy it! 🏕️Location: Lijiang Old Town 🎫Tickets: Free 24 hours a day 🚗Transportation: There's a 20 RMB bus from the airport directly to the Old Town; there are stops at both the South and North Gates. Taxis are also readily available. 📸Photo Spots in the Old Town ▪️Big Waterwheel: One of the must-see spots in Lijiang Old Town, located in Yuhe Square. A huge waterwheel, with many Dongba wishing plaques nearby. ▪️Sifang Street: Located in the center of Lijiang Old Town, connecting all the alleys. There's a bonfire party around 7 PM at the e-People's Fun Zone. ▪️ Umbrella Street: A whole street lined with oil-paper umbrellas. During the day, the sunlight makes them colorful, and at night they create a real old-street atmosphere. ▪️ Wenchang Palace or Lion Mountain Viewpoint: The viewpoint in front of Wenchang Palace offers panoramic views of Lijiang Old Town. From Lion Mountain, you can go to Wangu Tower Park for a complete view of the old town. ▪️ Qiyi Street and Wuyi Street: Food and bars. You can find a bar to listen to music in the evening. It's also a route to Mufu and Zhongyi Market. ▪️ Black Dragon Pool Park: The park is right next to Lijiang Old Town, about a 10-minute walk or a few minutes by taxi. Check the sunrise time in advance to photograph the golden sunrise on the mountain. Entry is free before 8 AM. About food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We found "Hongxing Casserole" near Zhongyi Market. The casserole with fresh meat stewed to order was incredibly high quality! You can eat your fill for just 30 RMB per person. We ordered lamb casserole, pork rib casserole, and mushroom casserole – every flavor was delicious! 😋 Plus, the owner poured fresh chili on top, and we couldn't stop eating! About bars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ When in Lijiang, you must experience the local folk bar culture. We chose "Waste a Life Bar," where you can enjoy the view and listen to music. The singers take turns performing, each with a different style, so you can hear a variety of songs throughout the night! 🎵 #LijiangOldTownPhotography #LijiangLocalRecommendation #LijiangTravelGuide #LijiangFood #LijiangOldTownTourismRoute #LijiangBarRecommendation #LijiangHongxingCasserole #LijiangWasteALifeBar #LijiangTourism

M31***49The visual impact of "Lijiang Eternal Love" is absolutely stunning! The waterfall in the story is real, the rain curtain scene is real, and there's real water cascading down from above—it's incredibly realistic and refreshing. What's most moving is the interpretation of the legend of the Third Kingdom of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain; it's not about sadness, but about reverence for love. I was deeply moved long after the performance ended; it's definitely a show worth seeing twice.

博😘😘肖Of the three ancient towns in Lijiang, Dayan Ancient Town is bustling with activity, its bars blaring at night; Baisha Ancient Town, near Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, has a natural filter, making it incredibly photogenic. But if you ask me which one I love most, I would unhesitatingly choose Shuhe Ancient Town—a secluded haven with sparse crowds, a river flowing through it, flowers blooming along the roadside, and willows swaying gently. Shuhe Ancient Town is neither as noisy as Dayan nor as deserted as Baisha. It strikes a perfect balance between tranquility and vibrancy, like a traditional Chinese ink painting where nature and culture blend seamlessly. Here, you can find a long-lost peace, as if time itself has slowed down. For those who enjoy quietly finding an ancient town to relax in the sun, Shuhe Ancient Town is a treasure. You can sit by the river, watching the flowing water, listening to the birdsong, and feeling the healing power of nature. Or, you can find a small shop, order a coffee, read a good book, and enjoy a rare moment of leisure.

luludexiechengI saw it in 2007, 2012, and again in 2025, and it was still as captivating. The quality of the performance remains remarkably consistent. It was truly memorable. In just one hour, the performance captured the customs and cultures of Lijiang's various ethnic minorities with exquisite detail. The song and dance were lively and engaging. The children loved it. Initially reluctant to enter, they were captivated by the vibrant ethnic costumes and the vibrant dance performances, unable to take their eyes off the stage, unwilling to drink a drop of water, and unwilling to miss a single second. The ethnic cultural characteristics were beautifully captured through the short song and dance segments, making them accessible and understandable to everyone, young and old! I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Lijiang with children and the elderly. Being inside the theater, you're protected from the elements and can sit quietly and enjoy a unique cultural feast.
