Kaigoji Temple is a temple of the Jodo sect located about 23 minutes walk from JR Akita Station. I visited when I walked around Teramachi in Akita City early in July. It is ３１ of the temples lined up on the back street of Hotono Teppo Town. There was a sitting statue of Bato Kannon (stone Buddha) in front of the entrance of the temple. In the precincts, there were Rokujizo (stone statue) and Bato Kannon standing statue (bronze statue).
