This is a giant sculpture composed of a bicycle buried underground. It’s like you’ve walked into the land of Lilliput, but for bicycles. But that’s the fun, that each piece – there’s a giant peddle, a giant curvature of a wheel and tyre and a giant ring-a-ding bell (imagine the noise it might make!) It’s by American artist Claes Oldenburg who is well known for his sculptures of everyday objects. You can even cycle up to the public park where it’s located too, by getting a daily hire of one of the city’s ‘Velib’ shared bikes.
