According to many Rio guides, it advertises as imperial palace. After arriving, we realized that other than the building itself, it’s no longer a palace. Instead, it’s been turned into an art gallery....
The Imperial Paço is an ancient (average austere) palace where the Portuguese royal family lived during his exile in Brazil and where independence was managed.
It is an ancient building that makes a part of the imperial past of Brazil relive. It is located on the 15th November Plaza, very close to the Tiradentes Palace and the ferry station.
