Alley Hanmoxiang, Chaiyuan Wanjuan Tibetan. Chaiyuan is one of the more remarkable gardens that have been restored and opened in Suzhou in recent years. Located at No. 44, Vinegar Ku Lane, Suzhou. Chaiyuan was built in the late Qing Dynasty and was Pan Zengxuan's house garden.
After years of renovation and expansion of the garden landscape has been completely new, and it has become a Suzhou Education Museum, which has built more than a dozen exhibition halls such as the Preface Hall, the Hall of Fame, the Ancient Hall, the Modern Hall, the Modern Hall, the Academician Hall. Here you can enjoy the aesthetic artistic conception of Suzhou classical gardens, and you can appreciate the millennium charm and contemporary style of Suzhou education.
Chaiyuan is located in a small alley between Shiquan Street and Shiyan Street. The alley is very clean and typical Suzhou style. The last owner of Chaiyuan was named Chai, so he got his name. It has been scattered into residential houses, schools, etc., and has gradually been restored and opened in recent years, but there are still several original monuments and terraces that no longer exist. Chaiyuan is open for free and closed on Monday.
A small private garden deep in Gusu alley
The free new garden is very cost-effective. The exhibits inside are varied and particularly interesting. Even if you don't look at the exhibit garden itself, it is very exquisite, not looking for a single show, but it has everything. It is still very recommended to go in and see when you can see the exhibition.
