Begur: Costa Brava’s Hidden Gem for a Dreamy Weekend Escape 🌴🍹 — traveler post in Begur

Begur: Costa Brava’s Hidden Gem for a Dreamy Weekend Escape 🌴🍹

Begur is straight-up paradise—no cap! This dreamy village on Spain’s Costa Brava will have you living your best life. Think picture-perfect, narrow cobblestone streets that seriously give off main character energy, and the views from Begur Castle are just 🤯. The whole place has chilled-out vibes—perfect for total relaxation. Imagine sipping cocktails on the sand at Platja de Sa Tuna or Platja Fonda, two of Begur’s gorgeous beaches. You could totally spend your day relaxing by the sea, soaking up the sun, and snapping those Insta-worthy shots. If you’re in the mood to explore, Begur’s cute little shops and local restaurants are a whole vibe. The old town is filled with charming boutiques, patisseries, and cozy terraces—ideal for a lazy brunch or some tapas. Don’t miss wandering down Carrer de Bonaventura Carreras i Peralta, where you’ll find the heart of the village! This spot is a total win if you want to soak up the beauty of Costa Brava without the crowds. Seriously, Begur keeps it chill while serving the full vacay experience. Whether you’re climbing up to Begur Castle (Plaça del Castell, 17255 Begur, opening hours: 10:00–20:00) for that panoramic view or watching the sunset from the beach, this is THE place to celebrate your weekend like a pro. Ready for the next adventure? Score your stay and plan your Begur escape on trip.com! #repeatdestination

A human-sized sea of jelly, everyone please check it out. — traveler post in Begur

A human-sized sea of jelly, everyone please check it out.

Costa Brava Continuing from the previous post's 3-part "Beautiful Waves" trip, tomorrow we're heading to Barcelona! For the hidden gem of a jelly-like beach, please see picture 18. I recommend having lunch at Platja d'Aiguablava, where you can rent a boat or go kayaking. A two-person boat costs 30 euros per hour. You can also start hiking from Fonda. Parking is easier there. The route will pass pictures 5, 6, 7, and 8. The tropical botanical garden in picture 13 is also highly recommended. Castillo Cap Roig 25-minute drive.

The castle tower is the best observation deck. — traveler post in Begur

The castle tower is the best observation deck.

Mediterranean Coast Tour of Spain ~ Girona (Region) The castle itself is a small ruin of what remains, but it is still a great place to visit and learn about its history. There is a small path leading up to it, though some parts are quite steep. In my opinion, the last 30 feet or so are too steep for those who are frail or use wheelchairs. However, once you reach the top, the view is absolutely spectacular. The scenery of the town of Begur and its surrounding areas is stunning. So, relax and enjoy the view. It’s not crowded, or at least it wasn’t crowded when we visited, as it was a weekday.

Mediterranean Coast Tour in Spain ~ Girona (Region) On the southern coast of the Baix Empordà, we find the town of Begur. In this area of the Costa Brava (Girona coast), the mountains plunge into the Mediterranean Sea, creating small bays and sandy beaches between the rocky cliffs. Pine forests stretch all the way to the coast, surrounding the town of Begur, which is just a few kilometers from the sea. This historic quarter is a very traditional and colorful place, dominated by the ruins of a simple castle built on the rocks, which dates back to the 15th century. You can still admire the old walls and five defense towers built between the 16th and 17th centuries. The use of stone is a characteristic of the popular architecture in the area. The old fishing area by the beach has become an important residential and tourist area. These include Aiguablava, where there is a great Parador de Turismo and a small marina, and Sa Tuna beach, located between the sea and the mountains. #4月好去处2025 #西班牙旅行 #CATALONIA
